  1. On this day last year (19 November 2023), Green Day played at the 110th Grey Cup in Toronto, Canada. In case you're like me and have no idea what that is, it's the game that decides the champion in Canadian gridiron football. More photos: 7 years ago (19 November 2017), Green Day played the Corona Capital festival in Mexico City. It was the last show of the Revolution Radio Tour. More photos: 11 years ago (19 November 2013), Green Day played the Dreamforce Gala in San Francisco, CA. The sound blew out but fans got a special show with air guitar, other funny antics and Angel Blue, Peacemaker and Rusty James. This is an excerpt from a fan story in the We Are Revolution Radio book. The lovely lady who wrote it described her journey with Green Day through her favourite songs from each album and from ¡Uno! it was Angel Blue, which she got to hear at this show. This is one of my favourite stories in the book. Sticking the full thing in a spoiler in case anyone would like to read the rest: More photos: 23 years ago (19 November 2001), Green Day played Hitchin' a Ride on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. More photos: They also played four songs on the Rockline radio show in LA that day. 27 years ago (19 November 1997), Green Day played at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto, Canada on the Nimrod Tour. They also played a set in an alley behind an HMV shop in Toronto. And they were interviewed there. More photos: 29 years ago (19 November 1995), Green Day played the CSU Convocation Center in Cleveland, OH on the Insomniac Tour. 30 years ago (19 November 1994), Green Day played the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul, MN on the Dookie Tour. More photos: 33 years ago (19 November 1991), Green Day played in Saarbrücken, Germany.

  2. Went on a transatlantic trip for work and got excited when: 1. I found the music section of the onboard entertainment had Father Of All. 2. Saw the Marshall headphones commercial with Billie in one of the screens right after immigration in Paris

  3. I got so excited when Air France had Father of All because I was impressed that a big airline had any Green Day, let alone their most hated album! I'd kind of checked out of Green Day land then, but I guess I knew I was still a Green Day fan because I took a photo anyway

  5. 1234 Records is 40 hours away. I ordered Unt a few days ago and it arrived today. I ordered it from concord, NC which is less than 2 hours away on Halloween and it still hasn't shown up yet. Lol.

  6. I'll be going alone to both Vienna shows and would also love to meet whomever is up for it from the community 🙂 I will also be at Amsterdam, although I'm going with a friend and his partner to that one. And... it's quite safe to assume there won't be any more dates in Europe, right? If this is it, I might buy a ticket for Luxembourg too.

  7. This is actually the only theory I've read about the tapes having disappeared (in one way or another) that I'm willing to believe. I can kind of see that happening, and would explain why they have never released a studio version of C&V even if there is a live version out there. If this is what happened, then I can also imagine that the "stolen tapes" story was probably also made up to hype the fans about it, so they would really want to listen to it, thus creating a market for those tapes that the label wouldn't "push" and that now they have no way of releasing and profiting from. Being indeed a very punky move. If that's what they did, I see you guys, and you are little punk geniuses. I've said it before and I'll say it again, that American Idiot alt version is the missing link between Warning and American Idiot (the albums, not the songs).

  8. Can't wait. I've been waiting to see them live for so many years, I was thinking of going to a different country to see them but finally they are coming to our country and it seems like it will be the last show of the Saviors tour. I'll be crying when they come on the stage. Now I hope someone cool is going to be opening for them. Two years ago on the same festival it was Muse that headlined and I also got to see Nothing but Thieves and Yungblud which were both pretty awesome. 16 year old me bitching about them never coming to Greece:

  9. On this day 20 years ago (18 November 2004), Green Day played the Rose Garden Arena in Portland, OR on the American Idiot Tour. 27 years ago (18 November 1997), Green Day did a press conference in Montreal, Canada and played the Metropolis later that day. More photos: 29 years ago (18 November 1995), Green Day played the Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis, IN on the Insomniac Tour. 30 years ago (18 November 1994), Green Day played the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, IL on the Dookie Tour which, yes, was the infamous Jaded in Chicago show. More photos: 33 years ago (18 November 1991), Green Day played Villa Roller in Waiblingen, Germany.

  10. Absolutely. My 3 and only 3 fav versions are the original demo, the album version, and Billie Joe's Welcome to My Panic version. No contest.

  12. As easy as money. The festivals took more risks to pay more money to the band. I hate festivals, but sometimes it's the only way to see bands (like this year in Madrid for example...And the organization was horrible)

  13. Front of stage should be fine. I‘ve got that too, for both nights… And I like how many people of this community will come to Vienna. Would love to meet some of you there!

  15. The fact they have no click track is phenomenal considering how in sync they are. Tré keeping everyone in line 😯
