This is the day I first saw Green Day in 2009 in Glasgow on the 21CBD tour. It changed my life. I celebrate every year.7 points

Wow! This is a great record! I implore everyone to listen to this record at least a few times. It seems decent at first, but songs like Trash tv, Song for myself, Mumbles, Green, Chowchilla, Here Goes the Neighborhood, Hola Canada, Nothing Ever Matters, Unt, Oh My, Scum of the Earth, and Difficult but not Impossible are all great songs.6 points

On this day last year (19 October 2023), Green Day played the Fremont Country Club in Las Vegas, NV. 📷: rosequeenphoto More photos: 8 years ago (19 October 2016), Green Day played the KROQ Red Bull Sound Space. They were also interviewed. More photos: The Say Goodbye lyric video was also released that day. 15 years ago (19 October 2009), Green Day played the SECC in Glasgow, Scotland on the 21st Century Breakdown Tour (@jengd's first show!) More photos: 20 years ago (19 October 2004), Green Day played the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth (Dallas), TX on the American Idiot Tour. 24 years ago (19 October 2000), Green Day played Goat Island in Sydney, Australia on the Warning Tour. It used to be considered one of Green Day's most iconic performances. Don't know if it still is. There are loads of videos on YouTube if you want to watch it. More photos: 30 years ago (19 October 1994), Green Day played the Boardwalk in Manchester, England on the Dookie Tour. 31 years ago (19 October 1993), Green Day played the Catalyst in Santa Cruz, CA while supporting Bad Religion. "I remember this show, I think they quit after like 45 minutes because Billie Joe got mad for some reason." — Dan Guilfoy 34 years ago (19 October 1990), Green Day played the Women's Building in San Francisco, CA. "I even thoroughly enjoyed Green Day who’ve added Tre Cool of the Lookouts on drums while Al is up at school in Humboldt studying god knows what." — Flipside #693 points

Listened to Revolution Radio after a long time again. Great album. Didn't appreciate it enough back in 2016. The beginning with Somewhere Now, Bang Bang and Revolution Radio was an amazing comeback after the hiatus!3 points

The Warfield video is great, it would be great if they gave us a little gem like this every day til the release!3 points

Thats such a tease lol. One of the best shows from the AI era all beautifully pro shot. People have been after footage from this forever. And they won’t include it 😢 The editing though makes me believe it was being prepared at one time for a dvd release. Perhaps they were filming multiple shows that year to see what one would fit a video release. That show was also like 90 percent covers toward the end lol. Maybe it’s a licensing thing.3 points

I live like 30 minutes drive from the Lakes so... I approve this message 😅3 points

Really enjoyed this album. Fun and catchy songs! However. Billie says «razorblades» in Trash TV. I thoguht I made it clear that this word was banned for the next 10 years, Billie. Oh well..3 points

My LP came with a poster and postcard with a pic of Bill n Billie on it!2 points

Mumbles lyrics:- [Verse 1] She had breasts shaped like eggs that tickle my ribs I embarrass myself by Mistaking her sweat for tears Her laughter was like The pillar of a [?] [Chorus] Suits her smile belonged on a shark "Do you call this coffee?" she said Still lost in my dreams, I felt weak in the knees In the cloud of the morning light In the light [Verse 2] She had space between her teeth Cleaned it with a knife There was no before floss Only when she was asleep could I relax Because the pressure was off [Chorus] Now being tested didn't bother me When it came to Portuguese call her niece [?] sort the dates on ability to skate But I was shy between the sheets Between the sheets [Outro] Woah-oh-oh, mumbles You spell my name wrong on the note2 points

reminder that next year is also the 35th birthday of 39/smooth (+slappy and the Sweet Children EP) and considering how both Warning and Insomniac have reasons both to get and not get a box i think 1039/ smoothed and sweetened out hours could also happen but yeah we probably are getting at the minimum Warning XXV by the start of next year and insomnaic 30th later in the year alongside probably the remaining shows on this current tour having more warniac2 points

besides Stuck With Me, Paper Lanterns, Haushinka, Jaded and Dry Ice, id kill to see Do Da Da, Too Much Too Soon, Wasteaway, Misery, Deadbeat Holiday, Uptight, Suffocate/Desensitized, No One Knows and All The Time live as for what songs from C&V era made it onto MM2020, I honestly believe that Roshambo was cut from C&V (with it probably being a last minute replacement for Govenator which I also believe was a MM2020 track before ending up as a B-side for American Idiot) with Spike, Hungry Hungry Models and maybe title track also being written during the C&V era and ending up on MM2020 once C&V was thrown into the can2 points

I just hope he explores the rest of the UK too. Despite some of what may be heard, we've got some beautiful places over here... Come up t'North Billie, we're very friendly!2 points

London is my favorite place in the world, so the fact that Billie seems to spend a lot of time there these days makes me so happy. The image of this cute lil dorky dad rebelliously doing graffiti in the middle of the day is hilarious to me. I love him so much lol.2 points

This album keeps getting better I’ve played it four times today I love these songs. Ngl in the past I’ve always had favorite PG songs but never an entire release, there’d be like a handful each record that I really liked. This one is nearly perfect with the exception of one or two for me.1 point

Audiophile babble: Listened to these on my high end Fiio DAP with the 6 driver IEMs. They’re just incredible. The soundstage on them is so wide and opened. It has these little nuisances you won’t find on the final mastered releases. They are a gem 💎🥰1 point

Listened to this album yesterday while at work, and I really enjoyed it! It's not the most exciting album I have heard this year, but it is still very solid and has some great social commentary. I feel like I probably need to listen to it again while paying more attention to it to be able to appreciate it better.1 point

I don’t know why Unt and Shine were the songs they dropped first they are nowhere near the best on the record. Nothing Ever Matters sounds like The Longshot, Chowchilla could be a Network song. DBNI sounds like classic PG and Here Goes the Neighborhood could be The Influents. So many other good ones.1 point

Schwarzenegger announced he was running for governor Aug 6 2003. MM2020 was already listed on the adeline records website Aug 1, though not available to buy until Sep 30. The album was almost certainly being mixed and mastered if not entirely completed at that point. So Governator was probably never on MM2020, but of course it was written by the same people at around the same time so it's not a surprise it shares a vibe1 point

Fell in love with PG from first ep 'Trundle & Spring' back in '91. Thereafter throughout the 90's in between GD studio album releases, there was always a PG record to provide more magical raw punk sound. 'Carry The Banner' is a classic. Love this new album. Thanks PG. ♥️1 point

I don't think something could happen with Nimrod or Dookie in 2027 or 2029. I think we could get Warning 25th Anniversary and maybe Insomniac 30th next year in 2025... then maybe something for 21stCB in 2029 or a Live Concert from Saviors era and/or a gig from a past era???1 point

I’ve come to believe that some of these extra/unreleased songs were all or most from Money Money 20/20…I think Cigarettes and Valentines WAS that album and either the band/label didn’t think it was good enough so they had all those songs get more experimental and released it as a side project. Roshambo (10/10) Right Hand o Rama and Supermodel Robots I can see as Green Day songs that followed the trajectory of Warning. Look at Misery…that could have fit on the Network albums if there was more electronic parts…take those 14 songs away there’s Cigarettes and Valentines minus the song they possibly saved and played live on the 21st Century Breakdown tour…maybe some of AI leftovers turned into some Foxboro Hot Tubs…Pedestrian and Mother Mary could fit on Warning…I’m just frustrated that this Warfield show must have been officially recorded and as die hard fans there are so many album tracks played live “allegedly” that we will never get to hear or see. I just wish they would release or upload all these infamous shows with songs they never played live…I’d sell my soul to hear Westbound Sign live once..not counting the sound check…or (uptight/jinx/Haushinkia/Panic Song/Hold On/Misery/No Pride/Tight Wad Hill/Walking Alone/….just frustrating with so many songs we may never hear live hell even Meet Me on the Roof once or a professional recording of Grafitta. But with the amount of money AI special education is going for (I bought it like I buy everything they put out…there’s only so many times Basketcase/When I Come Around/She/Welcome To Paradise/Brainstew/Geek Stink Breath/Hitching a Ride…they can release and have people keep buying the same songs live on these special releases when they might have a treasure trove of album cuts live sitting there. I just hope when it’s time we get 21st Century Breakdown from the Fox Theatre in full released.1 point

Do you think the documentary on the Blu-ray will include English subtitles? The DVDs of Bullet in a Bible and Awesome As F**k had subtitles in various languages, but the Blu-ray versions didn’t even have English subtitles. According to a press release, the Japanese version will include Japanese subtitles, but since it’s set to release on November 20th and costs nearly twice as much, I’m debating which one to get 😔1 point

i know it has a low chance of happening but i honestly think they should showcase Take Back to show that they were still playing lesser known songs during this era (like Take Back, Coming Clean, and Misery as well although that was a different concert so i dont know if it was professionally shot at all) rather than another forgettable Basket Case segment (like BIAB)1 point

I very much doubt we'll see a lot footage from Warfield in the documentary and most of what we do get to see will be likely be partial clips or split up. Could be wrong I suppose, but it is a documentary after all, not a live DVD, so fair enough. Still, the fact that even any part of the show was taped is the most exciting news to me in yonks. May well be years, perhaps decades until we ever get to hear/see it in full, but to be honest, I don't care. This is still fabulous news.1 point

Don't forget King Glizzard! (Dear east nowhere they have a lot of official bootlegs...) like what's stopping us from receiving 7/20/01 or bottom of the hill 99 on physical formats/streaming only or OR OR why just have a full show when we could confirm if songs like Jinx, Uptight, Deadbeats Holiday, Panic Song, Dont Wanna Fall In Love and Dirty Rotten Bastards were played live at the shows people claim that they were played at on setlist FM 😆1 point

My first Green Day concert ever ❤️ Got to be on stage during 2000LYA The Cup Noodles costume was so unexpected 🥰1 point

Whoa Warfield! This has to be Sam Bayer's work. The analog film, specific ways of zooming and framing.. I love it. Now THIS could've been a nice gift for the anniversary boxset. A full proper show from their prime days, almost like a sequel to Bullet In A Bible, with gems like Take Back, Disappearing Boy, J.A.R. and Rock The Casbah(!)..1 point

10/10 what a solid great punk rock album! as if they never have been away personally for me, some songs could be a little bit "punchier/heavier" but all in all i expected phgd and got phgd love their music! i hope this wont be their last release1 point

You reminded me, I still want the full band version of Alison!1 point

Love to see this go number 1 on at least one Rick chart that would be their 3rd number 1 rock radio single next to Dilemma and TADIKM1 point

Of the festivals they have announced so far for next year, this is the first one for which I'm considering to go. There is a high probability that I will actually be in Greece the last week of June for work, meaning I'd only have to pay the round trip from that city to Athens, as the company would cover my ticket from France to Greece. So I could do this relatively cheap. Also, I've always wanted to go Athens, it's high on my list, but haven't had chance to yet. And the fact that it's their first time there makes it extra especial and exciting. Also, it's my partner's birthday on the day of the concert, and although he's quite sick of Green Day by now, I think a festival would be fun and I could sell him on the idea. The main hold back is that Greece on July sounds like literal hell.1 point

Taking a little holiday to Athens next year 😎1 point

I just bought tickets. My first ever GD concert. I am so excited! I remember back in 2005, the 10-year old me sending a message to a local greek radio station asking if they could confirm a rumor about GD planning to play a show in Greece that year😆. Now i understand that attending a live show can bring as much as joy as hearing a new record, and for fans that don΄t have this privilege, keeping the passion for the band high can be difficult. I am looking forward to this show, which i am sure will be packed with people full of special love for this band!!1 point
