At the listening party in Watertown, MA. This album gets better and better every song! Disappointed I wanted to order the album on CD and they said it would take a couple weeks. Not everyone owns a record player I just want to play the CD in my car.2 points

Hey party people (at least I hope that's what those young folks today say), So I've been a fan for a while and have been collecting some stuff over the years and besides doing scans of artwork I also like to scan magazines and books. Especially this year I focused on a lot of Japanese mags I wanted to share since not too many people outside of Japan have seen these or people from outside of Germany have seen the German mags I also have. Since I always wanted to have the American Idiot tour book they did (actually "just" tour rehearsal photos and dates) and since it's AI's anniversary, I wanted to share HQ scans of those as well. Since I'm a perfectionist I edited the pictures to be as close as possible to the original mag or how it "should" look digitized, these took a lot of time and I wanted to share as much as possible at once with you. There's still stuff to scan and/or edit. Here's a short list of what's coming next: Warning Tour Book, Crossbeat 2001/12, Guitar Breakers 2004/10, Crossbeat 1995/11, Crossbeat 2000/08, Visions 2009/05, (maybe) Billboard 2009/05, etc. Well, here's the link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Hk68uJ_YwpQBby3nlLWhRAWU6_8vdAkE?usp=sharing Enjoy!1 point

Yesterday there was a comment in the AI anniversary thread from a person that wrote something in the lines of "something is coming" - but that post is deleted. Couldn't remember the username, and it doesn't necessarily mean that ir's related. Just wanted to share it. What's going on? 😁1 point

Looks legit. They picture other CD reference cds they bought, looks like it was from a lot. This stuff is pretty common, but definitely not with Green Day music. Over the years very little has surfaced in terms of CDR demo stuff. It hardly circulates publicly or most of it has been kept under heavy lock and key by the band. Either way, this is a huge find.1 point

I do wonder about the Mike and Tre. With Tres kid growing up and Mike have a few other business ventures, I wonder if the album making process will slow down. I’ll say that I have no solid reason to think they’d want to slow down, just going solely off of things I’ve thought before. Regardless, I know that Billie will most likely stay in the groove of things, whether it’s solo or with a group. He seems to be most consistent when it comes to writing/performing and all that stuff1 point

I‘ve read a lot of interviews in the last weeks, and I think in one of them Billie said he loved making albums. So I think they will continue making records, if just for the fun of it.1 point

Similar to the post above, I also have thought that if Saviors was released earlier, potentially after 21cb, this album would have received so much more mainstream attention. I remember thinking the album would spike the bands popularity due to the generally positive reviews, but I agree that rock will not ever get the same attention that it did in the early 2000s. It makes me think forward to future releases. Will Green Day continue making albums at the frequency they have in the last few decades? Will they move to sporadic single/EP releases? It’s hard to say, but what I know is that since I became a fan in 2010, this has been my favorite album BY FAR, and I’m so happy I got to experience this release cycle.1 point

Little update: I just noticed that I forgot to upload the first 3 images (incl. the cover) of "Rockin' On" from 2005/05. Now added: "Crossbeat Special Edition" from 2010 Just to be clear, some things are incomplete like some of the Crossbeat Special Edition, which are pretty thick books in comparison and I didn't scan straight interview pages of those books and of some Japanese mags I scanned those pages as well, since they are fewer.1 point

I’m really surprised by the negative reaction. These are just weird little collectibles that are made in tiny quantities so they’ll be super rare and cool for whoever wins them. I put my name down for a few that I thought would be cool to display. I think it’s fun, and none of them are expensive at all given how extremely limited they are.1 point

There have been so many great reviews of the tour that I stopped sharing them but this is a really good, if unemotionally written, one from Forbes which I thought made some great points. Green Day’s North American Saviors Tour Finishes Strong In San Diego (forbes.com). Annoyingly I can't get this to work as a link.1 point

Incredible find. This person has stumbled across a presumable 5 song AI demo CD. Maybe a pre-master. Can anyone on here try to get in touch with this person? This needs to be ripped and preserved pronto. They say a rip is coming. According to them, WMUWE starts differently, with a drum intro. So wild the timing of this. 😱 Tracklist 1 Whats Her Name 2 Novacaine 3 Boulevard 4 Radio Baghdad 5 WMUWSE0 points
