  1. The negative comments at the festival's Facebook page about Green Day being booked is hilarious. Apperantley, they're not heavy enough and people are writting over and over that they won't bother to get tickets for that day. There's no need to announce that they won't be at the festival. 😂

  2. Brain Stew had a peak yesterday, with 661k streams! And Last Night On Earth is getting interesting numbers, with daily streams around 120k-140k. Top 3 GD songs on spotify in the moment: Good Riddance American Idiot Basket Case

  3. JOS demo has been the best demo released until now... However, being honest, I am not impressed with the content showed from AI 20th these weeks. Don't get me wrong, that ending for JOS demo it is cool, but Wake me up and Holiday/BOBD are almost identical to final versions. I still don't understand why they don't release unknown/unreleased songs from that era. I guess those tracks from 12 to 14 could be unreleased stuff. I remember back in 2004-2005, the band said they wrote/recorded around 35 SONGS in AI era. So do we have to guess, those unreleased songs were part from C&V??? Could be that the reason they don't bring those material in this new AI release???

  5. Today (6 October 2024), Green Day are playing Dilemma at the American Music Awards. More photos on GDA On this day 8 years ago (6 October 2016), Green Day played Bang Bang on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. More photos: 12 years ago (6 October 2012), the Troublemaker music video was released. It includes clips from the studio and the 2012 Echoplex show. 19 years ago (6 October 2005), Green Day played in Las Vegas, NV on the American Idiot Tour. Although according to the articles about Billie's recent Vegas comment, this didn't happen, since "Green Day's last official tour stop in Las Vegas was in 2004." I also hallucinated seeing them there in 2017. More photos from the alternate universe in which this show happened: 24 years ago (6 October 2000), Green Day played a free show at Axis in Boston, MA on the Warning Tour. 30 years ago (6 October 1994), Green Day played Den Grå Hal in Copenhagen, Denmark while supporting Bad Religion on the Dookie Tour. The American Idiot musical was performed here in 2017. 31 years ago (6 October 1993), Green Day played The Concert Hall in Toronto, Canada while supporting Bad Religion. 32 years ago (6 October 1992), Green Day played Bonehead's in Victoria, Canada on the Kerplunk Tour.

  9. But if we compare those negative comments with the amount of likes on the posts, I think it's safe to say that the majority is very exctied for this. I've also read the comments, and what most of them have in common is 50+ of age, long beards and black/white profile pic doing "🤘" 😆 Myself on the other hand is (for the next few months) mentally preparing for music that I simply cannot stand just to get 2 hours of GD 😂

  11. 11 Homecoming (Nobody Likes You) 12 Everyone's Breaking Down 13 Just Another Year 14 Lowlife If that's the case I really hope 12 thru 14 are songs we've never heard before, and not just demo sections of Homecoming. Just Another Year could very well be Lately (One More Year) from the Cigs and Valentine's sessions. ☺️

"I remember a line of lowrider bikes in front of the club. Always great times there. Tre’s clown camp teacher let us stay at her house. She had an amazing dog that could do dog tricks. Very sweet." — Billie Joe Armstrong

  13. On this day 2 years ago (2 October 2022), Green Day played the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. More photos: 15 years ago (2 October 2009), Green Day played Le Zénith in Toulouse, France on the 21st Century Breakdown Tour. The GDC thread is still up. 19 years ago (2 October 2005), Green Day played the Coors Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, CA on the American Idiot Tour. 24 years ago (2 October 2000), Green Day played Minority on The Late Show With David Letterman. 31 years ago (2 October 1993), Green Day played the Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia, PA while supporting Bad Religion. 32 years ago (2 October 1992), Green Day played the Benton County Fairgrounds in Kennewick, WA on the Kerplunk Tour. "This was in 1992, and Green Day played here in a warehouse at the local fairgrounds. That seems funny right there, but at the time I was doing a fanzine and did reviews of most of the local shows. I was a bigger fan of the opening band, a group from Boise, Idaho called the Dirt Fishermen. One of the guys in the band worked at the record store which published a magazine that I wrote for, and he did reviews as well. Anyway, Green Day were just 'the big punk band,' they had a name and were very popular but they were very much indie. No one ever knew what they had in store a year or two later, but because they were still an indie back, I ignored them. I sat on the side and watched, but wasn't in the pit taking pictures. All I remember is that when they started they played the theme to 'Barney Miller' and later in the show they played the song from the old Nintendo video game, 'Rad Racer'. Months later, Green Day were signed among the alternative frenzy and you couldn't avoid seeing 'Longview' on MTV. Yet unlike a lot of bands who were signed, especially by Warner Bros./Reprise (i.e. Faith No More, The Muffs, Mudhoney, Xtra Large), Green Day are still around, now winning Grammy awards. When I became a member of this board a few months ago, it was great reading threads from people who are bringing their kids (sometimes grandkids) to Green Day shows, or I should say, the kids are bringing their parents. If I had kids, I probably would tag along as well, although trying my best to not act a fool. So there, I saw Green Day when they still played at a fairground warehouse shed." — johmbolaya "I was there!!! Partied in their van... Billie was a dick then." — Melissa Sanford "Saw them at our fairgrounds here in Kennewick, WA back in '92 (before Dookie). They were playing with punk bands. The drummer sold me their Kerplunk tape while he was eating Little Debbie Fruit Jammers and drinking a Yoohoo. I still don't know where to find Yoohoo in this town." — TheUplist "Big show. This was well before they were on a major label. At some point in the middle of the Green Day set, the singer, Billie Joe or whatever his name is was holding the mic out to let people say stupid things. He held it up to my face and I tried to make a farting sound in it. I rushed myself and made a really weak farting noise that didn't even carry over the PA and ended up just getting a ton of spit on the mic. He just pulled the mic away from me and gave me this look like I was the biggest jackass ever." — Tim Leingang I like how that last guy said "Billie Joe or whatever his name is" but actually spelled it correctly, which can't be said for everyone who claims to be his biggest fan. I don't think someone does need to know their names at all to be a massive fan, but that's still amusing.

  14. Today isn't a particularly interesting day since there are only photos of one of the things. On this day 6 years ago (30 September 2018), The Coverups played the Uptown in Oakland, CA. That beard makes Billie look like the love child of one of my college tutors – who will tell you that he saw Green Day at the Garage in 1997, but it must have been the Astoria because they didn't play the Garage in 1997 and as smug as he is about it, I don't think he'd lie – and a bloke who asked if I really have the mental capability to make my own decisions after I absconded from our date. Anyway. Here are a few more photos of the child of Photography Lecturer Who Was (Actually Not) At The Garage and Undateable Mental Capability Man. 19 years ago (30 September 2005), Green Day played the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, CA on the American Idiot Tour. 24 years ago (30 September 2000), Green Day played the WRZX X-Fest in Noblesville, IN.

  15. I haven’t even been thinking about the Grammys, but I hope they get some recognition. Would be awesome if they had them perform in celebration of these milestones.
