With the US tour officially over I can say I'm so happy I made the last minute decision to go. It was an incredible night. I really do think it's a once in a life time thing and it was a great way for me to reflect on how I fell in love with the band and why I still love them. I had so much fun! I still prefer them in arenas and theaters, but I love that they put on an amazing show no matter the size of the venue. Definitely a highlight of an otherwise frustrating year for me.10 points

Same, while it’s not always easy keeping up with all the stuff while a tour is happening, I miss it when it stops. Glad there are things coming up to look forward to.8 points

Me too @pacejunkie punk. After all that fun and excitement it feels so quiet all of the sudden. But I’m happy we’ll see them again this weekend at the AMAs and that they still have a bunch of international dates coming up! I hope they get to enjoy some much-deserved rest in the meantime.7 points

I feel the same way. It’s not hard for me to get emo over my history with Green Day, but this tour made me especially nostalgic and appreciate why they’re so special to me and how long they’ve been in my life. It was such a fun, good vibes tour and I feel so lucky that I got to attend. Of course I also love more intimate shows, but there was something really incredible about seeing tens of thousands of people moving and singing in unison on Billie’s command. Billie and the entire band are so fucking good at their jobs and I’m so proud to be a fan.5 points

On this day 8 years ago (3 October 2016), Green Day played the 9:30 Club in Washington DC on the Revolution Radio club tour. “My mom had a waitress job at a 24 hour place. She saved up her tips and she bought this guitar for me. Thanks mom.” — Billie Joe talking about Blue at this show More photos: 14 years ago (3 October 2010), Billie's first run as St. Jimmy on Broadway ended. 20 years ago (3 October 2004), Green Day played 19 songs for Radio Fritz in Potsdam, Germany. There are recordings online. 24 years ago (3 October 2000), Warning was released. Green Day also played Minority, When I Come Around and Blood, Sex & Booze on the The Howard Stern Show that day. There are videos on YouTube. 30 years ago (3 October 1994), Green Day played Luxor in Cologne, Germany. "Green Day @ the Crocodile Café, 1993. My band Alcohol Funnycar opened for Green Day when they came to Seattle on the Kerplunk tour. They were great live and you could tell that they were going to keep getting bigger. I had no idea it would go as wide as it did." — Ben London 33 years ago (3 October 1991), Green Day played Berkeley Square in Berkeley, CA.4 points

I love hearing Billie talk about his early days of getting really into music. In the interview he talks about writing the names of his favorite bands on his textbooks. I did the same thing with Green Day! 🥺3 points

@lizziebix Okay but the thought of Green Day appearing on QVC is conjuring such hilarious images in my mind.2 points

Idk, this whole thing is pretty disappointing. All I’m looking forward to is the documentary.2 points

There's a thread on r/music on this with over 3000 comments. Great majority of which fall into one of three categories- 1. Also shitting on Vegas. 2. Pointing out he's from Oakland so duh. 3. Talking about how great the tour was. Nice change from the far right insults.2 points

I went to the Seattle show with my wife and two friends. The entire concert experience was excellent - didn't feel too long. Everyones set and sounds were great. Green Days set and state design surpassed my expectations. I loved the Dookie set more than I anticipated, and felt the graphics / visual / floats were top notch. Seriously worth the money.2 points

True although a bit of a wait for 20th in 2029. Warning's 20th is next year which could be interesting. Remember the limited edition of Warning included cd ROM and 64 page photo book in black and white. Maybe reissue latter for wider audience. And maybe something more substantial for Insomniac's 30th next year, following the 2 vinyl disc, studio and live tracks, release for 25th?1 point

So far the nimrod and insomniac anniversaries to me were more exciting…so many of these new or unheard AI songs have already been released (shoplifter/favorite son/govemator) and some of the soon to be live songs have already been released as well….looking forward to 21st Century Breakdown anniversary addition that should be interesting1 point

Hubby’s been telling me that GD are sellouts for all the merchandising of PBC. But tonight on QVC, Coldplay is on, singing and selling their new album with extras. He saw it and said, Coldplay are bigger sellouts and promised not to degrade GD anymore! But seriously, Coldplay on QVC!!!! Certainly not my favorite band but even so, this is just so STUPID.0 points
