  1. This is why I’m sort of at peace about never meeting any of them. Closest I got was them high-fiving me on the red carpet barricade before the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony and a professional photographer capturing the moment (forever my cover photo). It’ll probably never get cooler than that for me — and I didn’t have to worry about actually speaking. I know I would be so awkward and honestly I wouldn’t know what to say. I couldn’t even carry on a conversation with Kevin when I met him earlier this month in the floor seats in Pittsburgh. My husband finally was just like “congrats on the baby, we had a baby the same week!” to help me through it, hahaha. And Kevin loved to hear that and we talked about how cool it is being a parent for a bit. He was a genuine, kind person and I couldn’t even handle that. Totally opposite of your experience. He was like “I’m sorry, I don’t have anything to give you guys except a couple guitar picks” (there were five of us) and we were like “oh no we aren’t expecting anything, we just wanted to say hi!”

  2. Afterwards in reference to the show being "eventful" he just said he got an advil lodged so I would assume getting it lodged caused him to have some form of seemingly not too serious panic attack. I wouldn't read any more into it than that, getting something stuck in your throat can definitely cause panic plus there's the extra stress of it happening while performing in front of thousands of people.

  5. From the comments on his post it sounds as if he did take one during the show but not sure if anyone on the forum was there to confirm. Some pics from Alice Baxley

  6. He specifically mentions the Advil to the crowd here. I give him props for carrying on - a lodged pill is such an stress-inducing feeling on its own, let alone while performing to such a large audience .

  7. That sounds great, and natural. I’m always surprised they want to give fans stuff, I would want to tell them they gave me so much already but would probably say “ smrgh…noffrd….garnf” 😂😂😂

  8. Green Day pranked The Linda Lindas with bubbles and Billie crowd surfed. This is what The Linda Lindas posted about it DAMN YOU GREEN DAY!! Thanks Phoenix, we had a blast. @greenday , we’re gonna get you good, just you wait. We still have four shows to go!!! See you soon SF, Seattle, Portland, and San Diego ❤️🫧🌮🤘 https://www.instagram.com/p/DAHCv24yHDL/?igsh=MXNnZDdxaHF4aHE1MA== I think so. Might be what happened at the beginning of Dilemma?

  9. He did say an Advil got lodged but would he take one mid show? Maybe he swallowed his gum? I’m always worried he’s going to choke on that bloody gum! 🥹😂

  11. According to a Reddit poster that was in the pit, at one point during OEB he turned his back to the crowd and was noted he was shaking his head and pounding his chest. Walked off and Jason White finished the song. They then saw Billie go side stage and throw his guitar in anger. When he came back out to play Dilemma, he told the audience he wasn't having a heart attack, more like a panic attack. 🥺 Something is definitely amiss here. Here's where he says it's a panic attack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlFaV77c-x4&ab_channel=RealityRedemption

  12. I could imagine doing that if you got a headache (which would definitely be possible during a show with all the loud sound and jumping around). I can't stand to have a headache so always keep paracetamol on me and take it whenever. Love Billie crowdsurfing!

  13. This post is from misterbeever, the Armstrong’s dog trainer/animal trainer and he’s saying he’s proud of both Lennie and Minnie as they had their first international flight and has tagged psychiatric service dogs so their service dog harnesses seem genuine….and I just realised none of the band are in this so apologies, but it was mentioned earlier. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DAIxSMLo1MU/?igsh=cWQ2bDY0NjFsYXAy

  15. On this day 5 years ago (19 September 2019), the Father of All... video was released. Some more screenshots, in case you've forgotten what it looks like when you pause it: If you're looking for Serious screenshots, I'll direct you to the GDA Tumblr. 7 years ago (19 September 2017), Green Day played a show for 20 contest winners in Costa Mesa, CA. Fell For You was soundchecked and they may or may not have played a song called Fuck These People. There's no recording so no-one knows what it was all about. More photos: 19 years ago (19 September 2005), Green Day played in Denver, CO on the American Idiot Tour. 24 years ago (19 September 2000), Green Day were interviewed and played in Milan, Italy. More photos: 27 years ago, Green Day played in Hamburg, Germany on the Nimrod Tour. 31 years ago, Green Day played Numbers in Houston, TX while supporting Bad Religion. 32 years ago, Green Day played Komotion in San Francisco, CA on the Kerplunk Tour.

  16. He could be an emotional support dog or something, or he could just have on a vest from Amazon so he could go see his dad inside.

  18. It was actually me that came out the elevator Tre was sat there on a couch with what I assume was his security because he told me no photos "that's the rules". Tre had just started using Gretsch drums and so I blurted out how great they'd sounded at the show. He asked me what other shows I was going to and after telling him I wanted the floor to swallow me up it was so awkward. When I went back to the elevator he was still there and grinned at me. If I saw him again I don't think I'd speak. I don't know where I found the courage to open my mouth the first time

  19. If your show has all three opening acts, The Linda Lindas should start at about 5:30 PM, with a very short setlist, ~5 songs. Then Rancid with a slightly longer set list. Smashing Pumpkins at around 7 PM, with an even longer setlist. The break between bands is not too long (but certainly long enough to go to the toilettes or buy food & drinks). All this based on the show I went to, but I think it's been pretty uniform throughout the tour. Then, pretty reliably, Green Day will go on at 8:30 and be done at 11PM. They have been very punctual in this tour. Hope you enjoy your show! Enjoy!!

  20. Today (20 September 2024), Green Day are playing in San Francisco, CA on the Saviors Tour. More photos, videos and setlist on GDA. On this day 5 years ago (20 September 2019), Green Day played the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, NV. More photos: 20 years ago (20 September 2004), Green Day played 9 songs on AOL Sessions in NYC. They also played American Idiot on the Late Show with David Letterman that day. More photos: 27 years ago (20 September 1997), a performance of Good Riddance was aired on XFM Radio. Green Day also played a second night at Gruenspan in Hamburg, Germany on the Nimrod Tour. Nice Guys Finish Last and Prosthetic Head were played for the first time. 29 years ago (20 September 1995), Green Day played Brixton Academy in London, England on the Insomniac Tour. 31 years ago (20 September 1993), Green Day played in New Orleans, LA while supporting Bad Religion. "So I find the place around 1pm. I sit outside watching the buses unload. I get curious and decide to check it out. [Bad Religion] invites me in to hang out. Their drummer at the time, Bobby Schayes, gave me his lunch. I got to hang out and talk with Jay Bentley, Greg Hetson (Circle Jerks fame), and Bobby for the rest of the night until the doors opened at 8pm. I hung out with all my buddies in Green Day as well." — 99percenteks

  21. As a sufferer of panic attacks myself, I can sympathize. Anything like that would certainly cause a bit of panic especially in front of an audience.

  26. As a fan of Fang, I was surprised to see their frontman Sammytown posting pics with Green Day and Rancid a guest, though Fang's connection to Green Day goes without saying Fang was a fellow Berkley band, and a pretty instrumental band in the first wave of hardcore on the East bay. They set the stage for a lot of the younger, emerging punk groups in the area. It feels wholesome to see Green Day quietly still supporting the veterans of the scene.

  29. Today (18 September 2024), Green Day are playing in Phoenix, AZ on the Saviors Tour. On this day 2 years ago (18 September 2022), Green Day played the Sea.Hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park, NJ. More photos: 3 years ago (18 September 2021), Green Day played the Life is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas, NV. More photos: 20 years ago (18 September 2024), Green Day played American Idiot in full at the Vic Theatre in Chicago, IL on the American Idiot Tour. 24 years ago (18 September 2024), Green Day played Minority on The Big Breakfast on Channel 4 in London, England. Just like I can't believe Green Day ever played Rock City, I can't believe they were on Channel 4?! I used to miss everything exciting because we only had the five basic TV channels, but Channel 4 was one of them. I was obsessed with this show called TMi that McFly always appeared on and I feel like Green Day playing on The Big Breakfast is similar. If only I'd known they existed! 27 years ago (18 September 1997), Green Day played in Vienna, Austria on the Nimrod Tour. 29 years ago (18 September 1995), Green Day played in Deinze, Belgium on the Insomniac Tour. 31 years ago (18 September 1993), Green Day played Liberty Lunch in Austin, TX while supporting Bad Religion. 32 years ago (18 September 1992), Green Day played Berkeley Square.

  31. On this day 12 years ago (15 September 2012), Green Day played Irving Plaza in NYC on the ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré! promo tour. Billie ran onstage to take photos of Lipstick Homicide, the support act... ...And the result To be fair, Greg would unironically post that photo on the official Green Day account. More photos of the show: 24 years ago (15 September 2000), Green Day played Tutu's in London, England for XFM 104.9, which is now known as Radio X. Audio of the show is available online. 29 years ago (15 September 1995), Green Day played in Milan, Italy on the Insomniac Tour. 32 years ago (15 September 1992), Green Day played The Chameleon in San Francisco, CA on the Kerplunk Tour. 35 years ago (15 September 1989), Green Day played the Community Link Centre in Fresno, CA.

  32. Yes I do I’ve always said the best Green Day show you’ve ever been to was the last one but this shit is just special. Don’t sleep on the Pumps! So stoked. Rancid The Linda Lindas I can see why Billie likes them. Sounds like a female GD. Anyone wants to say hi, hmu. I’ll be with my new lady.

  33. The Nimrod 25th Anniversary (just like the album itself) was underrated. There's at least some differences and unreleased material there that I'm worried we won't get with this set. I'm so fascinated by the era of Insomniac/Nimrod/Warning because there's so much there to be discovered. I feel like we got everything when Idiot came out even if it wasn't "officially" released.
