  1. Posting this here as well as the tour thread in case anyone doesn't see it. Billie played a snippet of Suzie Chapstick before Good Riddance last night in Texas as reported by @Cooper Castilleand @CristhyneSwho attended the show https://www.instagram.com/reel/C_zaX9NODKF/?igsh=MWp0aXF3eHYxdm0yeg== A tour first

  2. Omg. When Billie played the first part of Suzie Chapstick at the encore, I started freaking out.

  5. The person with the hat Billie took during KYE was behind me, a bit further out to my right. So I got a privileged view of what happened and lots of Billie lol. Billie asked for it and the person threw it but it fell inside like a box that was between two sound towers (those were extra tall and extra loud this time BTW). So Billie stayed there playing like hoping someone would notice, and people in the barricade were trying to signal to the security person that was closest, but they guy ignored them. But eventually Billie was like, "where is it? Hand me that" and so security moved to pass the hat on to Billie. Other funny moment was during BOBD. The moment where the song pauses Jason White made a mistake and played something out of time. And both Mike and Billie were laughing about it and Billie went up to Jason and pretended to punch him (I was all the way to the other side of the stage, on the far side of Mike, so maybe it was not that the gesture, but that's what it looked like to me). A bit later on in the song Billie and Mike high five'd, not sure what for. It was the moment when everyone had the flash lights out, so it might have been just over the cheer awesomeness of having a stadium with 40K people doing that, or if something else happened to trigger it that I missed. But it was pretty sweet and funny. Billie also brought out the flash light during Holiday. He had done it during the 21CBD tour (and with a bigger flash light) but I don't think he had done it in the European leg of this tour (I had my eyes closed for most of the AI set of the European leg so maybe I just missed it lol). At the end Whatsername Billie said "we don't do encores, that is for pretencious bands, so good night!" and pretended to walk out. During a song (don't remember which) Mike went over to Jason's side and him and Kevin started rocking back and forth the mast (sorry, don't know the right terminology) of their bass / guitar synchronized. They were trying to get Jason to join them, but Jason was like too focused, too in his head space so it was a while before he realized and then he joined in. At the end Trè stayed a bit longer on the stage and did the swinging of the bucket and hit the drum set. If I remember any other funny little details later I will share. On a personal note, I took zero pics and videos in this one. I am already a frugal gal as it is when it comes to taking out my phone during a Green Day shows, but here it was really zero. Last time I took it out was during the the Linda Lindas. This one is my last one of the year for sure because it left me broke lol. And possibly the last one of the tour with the full albums. The crowd around me was amazing, I had a Dookie era guy on one side on his 13th show, and a 21CBD gal in the other in the 5th, both singing along to every song, so no complaints there. My spot was not the best, but I didn't care. I just really enjoyed this show. I had already "mourned" my last full albums show in Paris, because back then I didn't think I'd come to an US show, and I cried with basically every song of AI in that show, starting with AI just because I knew it was the last time to listen to that album in full. So here, I didn't mourn it. I just enjoyed it quite joyfully. As Billie would put it, it was a celebration. I still cried with Whatsername, but that is far less than I did in any of the European shows I went to hahaha. He also said the "and just like that... 20 years" line while ending whatsername. I am both sad and glad I had spoiled this for myself, because it would have been so emotional if I hadn't, but I probably would still be sobbing if I hadn't known 😂. I also kept my eyes open for more of the show this time than the Europeans one haha. In those ones I was really just closing my eyes with my hand over my heart because too many feelings. My sister did take pics and photos, I will share tomorrow. Oh and someone from the crew I didn't see at any point of the show gave me a guitar pick during Good Riddance. Like very e specifically to me, and put it in my hand quite purposefuly, like shook my hand to give it to me. I think it was because I was singing along at the top of my lungs at that moment, but I felt quite special anyways.

  6. This was my favorite one yet. It’s so cute that they’re having so much fun and are so chill on this tour that he’s just whipping out his phone goofing around mid-show. Also him blushing at “erection” lol.

  7. To take away the sting of losing the VMA, Dilemma is now the longest charting GD song for Alternative Airplay, Rock and Alternative Airplay, and Canada Rock.

  10. Just finished. Fuck I love this band. First verse and first chorus of Suzie Chapstick accustic before Good Riddance. I think that might be a first? Or perhaps they did it in one of the las couple of shows and I had just missed that.

  11. Really bummed about this. Dilemma is such a deserving video. It’s easily one of their best and definitely their most powerful. Forever obsessed with how simply yet brilliantly it expresses the meaning of the song.

  13. I really hope there's something on here that blows my mind too! I'm still listening to Black Eyeliner from the Nimrod anniversary set and it still blows me away. Such a beautiful song and wonderful surprise. It's been a long time since I've felt that way about a Green Day song — especially one that wasn't even released.

  18. The Melbourne show will be 29 years since my first Green Day concert in Feb 1996 at Festival Hall Melbourne! It will be my 15 year old son's first Green Day concert after the Hella Mega Tour which we had tickets for was cancelled.

  19. Well, they gave Katy Perry the “Most Iconic VMA Performance” award last night, beating out Madonna performing Like a Virgin, Gaga performing Paparazzi, and Eminem performing The Real Slim Shady, so I’m gonna say…yeah, they can’t possibly count votes lol because what is this.

  24. I went to the show last nite in Dallas. The energy was just so great. I'm waiting at the airport to go home now. But I'm feeling so much post concert depression! Do you guys think that Green Day will do anymore US shows in 2025? Even if its a couple random festivals(US)? Like for example how they had HellaMega in 2021 but played a few festival dates in 2022 and in 2023? Green Day just make me feel better. I don't feel this way about any other band. I feel so depressed the show is over I went to last nite.😫 hope this is ok to post here

  27. They also won 0 WMA’s until good riddance…and ever since they lost viewed choice to p-Diddy in 98 I don’t believe MTV actually counts votes….no way GD got swept in the 90’s and lost like 18-20 nominations…so Kravitz beating them not surprised since Basket Case lost every nomination as did Longview and like I said they won their 1st in 98 and lost everything else aside from the AI era…so VMA’s mean nothing anymore

  33. On this day 5 years ago (12 September 2019), Green Day played Father of All on Jimmy Kimmel Live. They also did the "Jimmy Kimmel's mean tweets" thing. Theirs was "why does Tré Cool from Green Day look like an emo version of Ted Cruz?" Billie said "well, Mike looks like Putin" and he took his sunglasses off to prove it. Personally, I think that is an unacceptable thing to say. I mean, it's not true! Tré actually looks like David Cameron. Another photo: 19 years ago (12 September 2005), Green Day played in Indianapolis, IN on the American Idiot Tour. "I got four tickets from StubHub to see Green Day on September 12th of 05 in Indianapolis. They were at cost too, so I got really lucky. I took my daughter and two of her friends. The tickets were for the floor SRO. We got there early and there was only one person between all of us and the barricade in front of the stage. You just can't do much better than that. I had been to very many concerts and was going on about what to expect with the girls. Caitlin, my daughter, had been on Green Day websites and got the 'down low' of what pretty consistently goes on at a Green Day concert but she didn't tell me. Man, was I in for a rude awakening. It was so exciting to see them in person and they were so good and really put on a show. But the better they were the closer the crowd moved in and the more squashed I got. I was separated from the rest of the girls. I was finally hoping it would end just so I wouldn't die. I was totally crushed. Finally another fan in the crowd noticed me about to pass out and I was guided to the nearest security guard. I was lifted over the barricade right smack in dead center of the cat walk and handed over to the guard by angry fans because I was in their way. Billie Joe Armstrong just happened to be at the tip of the cat walk playing guitar at the time. I looked him right in the eyes as I touched the stage for balance and then I quickly looked away. I was humiliated to have been 'broken' by the young punks. I missed a lot of the show while I was in the back getting oxygen. Billie looking at me was just as exciting as it was humiliating. But I hated missing some of the best parts of the show. I did make it out while they were playing Wake Me Up When September Ends. I had to come back out at the back of the crowd on the floor and then hunt for the girls when the show was over. I was embarrassed to see them because I just knew that they saw me and would go back to school and tell all about what happened to Caitlin's mom. But after finding them and asking them if they saw they said there was too much commotion going on where they were too and they were getting kicked in the head and everything. So they didn't see. It was definitely an unforgettable night." – A fan who attended the show 29 years ago (12 September 1995), Green Day played in Wiesen, Austria on the Insomniac Tour. More photos: 31 years ago (12 September 1993), Green Day supported Bad Religion in Las Vegas, NV.

  34. I’m glad they’re hitting up so many international tour stops next year, especially places they haven’t been before/in a long time. This is such a wonderful show, it deserves more than one summer tour!

  43. The suit is disgusting! I think you can see it’s sometimes a female and sometimes a male in the bunny suit, I thought it was Alice Baxley one day recently.

  44. I think it's usually a male crew member but sometimes someone else will do it for fun. Also wow that suit really is filthy!

  45. Absolutely loved that video. I love this type of content. You and me both. I love public speaking, and sure the biggest crowd in which I have ever given a speech or talk was around 350 people, so I'm off by a factor of a 100 lol, but the adrenaline rush, that mix of anticipation, fear and excitement, right before starting is honestly the best part of it for me... it's like the feeling of going a roller coaster (again, for someone who loves roller coasters). So I get how people who feel that way about performing manage to go up there and do it, it must be sooo exhilarating. Now, how Billie, who has been so vocal about getting stage fright, does it I have no idea. Especially being that he is the one that does the most crowd interaction.

  46. I loved this. Would love to know who the crew members is at 1.48/50ish... he's cute! Also I like to see how they all act before a show... Mike and Tré seem to be happy to goof around with each other, whereas Billie is pacing up and down, singing along and it seemed as if the camera guy knew not to get up in his face like he did with Mike... maybe he needs to be more focused and "on it" before stepping out. Also... I swear I heard a girl's voice from inside the Pink Bunny???
