Not to brag but tonight I got to see Billie soaking wet. He’s stupid beautiful. I don’t even have words. My glasses just fogged up at random a couple times because I was ahhooogaaa-ing and a couple times I started singing and just stopped mid-word because my mouth was falling open. Also, The Linda Lindas didn’t get a chance to perform due to weather so they let them come out and play a song mid-show and I think I had the hardest fangirl moment of my life because that was the SWEETEST THING IVE EVER SEEN.9 points

I didn't want to lose or break the pin badge I was given for queuing early at the 100 Club, but if I chucked it in a box of keepsakes I'd never look at it again, so I made another frame with some of my photo prints and my t-shirt design.6 points

I vaguely remember that. Here it is in all it's glory in case there's anyone who hasn't already seen it6 points

Poor Billie! I guess it's not surprising when he's giving it his all doing these super long setlists night after night, my voice was messed up from singing along at one show lol. Hope he's better soon. It's nice that the show is rescheduled instead of cancelled. That would be awesome. And King For a Day is the best and I will never get tired of it5 points

One of my favorite bands (SWS) posted about seeing Green Day on IG. It's so cute when the bands you like are fans of the same bands as you are. ❤️5 points

Just a lil (but long, sorry) musing. Feeling very lucky: Back in 2005, after like 8 months of listening to American Idiot, I decided that Green Day meant a little (a lot) more to me than any band ever had and I wanted to go to their concert. They were on the fourth US leg of their American Idiot tour by that point, and my dad had trouble finding tickets. He finally grabbed some with just a couple weeks to spare. Last fall, I hadn’t had much to do with Green Day in a solid three years. I somehow got word that they were teasing a new single, and I liked what little I heard of it. Three days later, I watched them perform TADIKM live for the first time and announce their tour, and I didn’t even have to think before I decided that I was going to make it happen and see them again, even though I hadn’t ventured to a concert since COVID. I decided they were worth it, and managed to get amazing seats. This past week, the Philly show felt so uncertain due to all the bad weather in the forecast. I was so worried my show would be the one to get canceled, but then in the back of my mind I kept thinking nah, I’m the luckiest when it comes to Green Day. I swear the universe conspires to keep them in my orbit. Anyway, I just got home from the venue that was across the street from where I first saw them nearly 19 years ago. They played a lot of the same songs from the American Idiot tour, but I felt infinitely more moved by them now. 20 years has gone so fast.5 points

What a perfect, beautiful night. We ended up with the nicest breeze and some patches of rain. I don’t think I’ve ever smiled so much at a Green Day show before, I couldn’t wipe the dumb look off my face and just felt so at peace in the midst of all the craziness. Perfect setlist, such tight performances, and my heart was leaping out of my chest at how incredible Billie sounds. It was a very stressful week waiting to see how this would pan out, and it all ended up going exactly how it was meant to.5 points

OK, the phrase "uncontrolled setting" is killing me because it makes them sounds like some sort of zoo animals that need to have professional handlers so you can interact with them safely. 🤣 Having said that though, I completely agree with you. I would actually feel super nervous and self-conscious in meeting them, especially randomly. I honestly don't feel the need to interact with them. I am perfectly content to love them and their work from a safe distance LOL.4 points

I see $69.98 on the official store right now I was looking at the track list for the demos and I have a theory about the song Lowlife. Without hearing it (obviously), this is just a guess. Knowing how Billie reuses ideas, like Black Eyeliner and Church on Sunday, I wonder if Lowlife was later reworked into Take the Money and Crawl, the line that goes, "High on lowlife, hit me with a dull knife!"4 points

This man is being silly with his geography tonight, lol also, no OEB tonight. The Linda Lindas apparently were unable to go on so Billie had them perform a song4 points

I have to say I thought the hair floof was verging on excessive when he first took the stage last night (crazy, I know), but the rain made it perfect.3 points

What a bummer! I heard Billie lost his voice last night after the Philly show. I hope he feels better soon! Glad that they are rescheduling.3 points

One of the highlights of the night was them letting The Linda Lindas play — that gesture was so classy and just shows exactly why I love these guys so much.3 points

Really cool that they brought The Linda Lindas out to perform during their own set.3 points

I can't imagine how many times I watched BIAB when it came out, as a new GD fan who had barely seen footage of them live before (only other things I'd seen were Storytellers and a bit of Rock Am Ring) and didn't have internet at the time. It was amazing . Long time since I watched it, really want to now!3 points

Hahaha. Have you see Tré?! That's exactly what I meant 😅. No just kidding, but yeah, I'd love to meet them at a meet and greet, or somehow in some kind of music/work related space. But just in public? As you say, what if they've just got off the phone saying a friends died, and then you bound up like "heeeeeyyyyy!" you're not gonna have a good time. Right? I wouldn't mind meeting them in a work/music/show setting somehow, and be able to say how much their music has meant to me etc. but out in public, no thanks. Not to be crass (okay, to be a little bit crass), but I have literally fantasised about Billie since I was 15 years old. If he was in a bad mood and said something I construed the wrong way (which he is entitled to do, we all have bad days), I'd be crushed.2 points

God, same. One, I’d just turn bright red and probably not be able to speak. Two, I would hate it if I caught them in a bad moment and ended up with that impression of them overwriting 20 years of reasons why I love them. None of us are our best selves all the time and it would suck to catch someone you really admire like that. I adore them and for that exact reason I feel zero desire to meet them lol.2 points

It's at 3:29 in this video! As a Pittsburgher, it gave me a good chuckle! 😆2 points

I have perfected the green day setlist. The two most popular songs from every era, plus a rotating encore that the crowd can vote on for the ultimate experience. Do you want Tre and Mike to dress up as Spiderman and Magneto? Batman and Minecraft Steve in a fight to death? Should Billie eat some cornflakes while singing Good Riddance? The choice is yours, live or die. 1. The American Dream is Killing Me 2. Know Your Enemy 3. BANG BANG 4. Still Breathing 5. Father of All 6. Dilemma 7. Brain Stew 8. 2000 Light Year Away 9. At The Library 10. Going to Pasalaqua 11. Amy 12. Welcome to Paradise 13. 21 Guns 14. The Forgotten 15. Stray Heart 16. Walking Contradiction 17. Warning 18. Oh Yeah! 19. Oh Love 20. 99 Revotions 21. Kill the DJ 22. Wake Me Up When September Ends 23. American Idiot 24. Minority 25. Hitchin a Ride 26. When I Come Around 27. Basketcase 28. Good Riddance ENCORE: 29. Holiday 30. Boulevard of Broken Dreams2 points

That's an interesting theory. If it's true, I hope it's wildly different since there aren't too many song we haven't heard before. Worst case scenario is that we've heard them all in some form or another and then Dude-case scenario - everything is totally new and fresh, haha. St Jimmy Opera, Homecoming (nobody likes you), What's Her Name - totally different songs that what we think, lol. I'm personally excited about We Are the Champions being on an official release. That was an epic part of the Idiot era and I wish it had continued. I'm also excited about the packaging. This just might be the best album release of all time, space and coffee.2 points

What's the geography comment about? 👀 But pretty classy bringing on The Linda Lindas for a song if they were not able to perform.2 points

Saw a few clips. Looks like it was a great show. There is such a joy from the band when they perform, I love it so much 🥰.2 points

SO you think they were lying about not knowing of its existence? interesting. It makes me wonder if the guy I talked to was actually looking for any copies or if he was asking his boss if it was ok to talk about it. Never thought about it that way, Good point Tim! now you gave me another reason to have theory's swirling around in my head tonight LMAO Also, I think Radio Baghdad is gonna be a cover of the Patti Smith song of the same name since American Idiot and Radio Baghdad both came out in 2004. A more punk cover maybe???2 points

When they played Blitzkrieg Bop before Newcastle United’s football match last night and mum and I looked at each other and laughed as it reminded us of seeing GD live (it was our first football match in 5 years, but they’ve always played that one). Just as mum joked that the Imperial March was next, we got a marching version of the Blaydon Races before the players emerged.2 points

Yes but high quality. I remember the TOTP performance as being totally epic, they weren’t meant to play more than 1 maybe 2 songs but played 4 (I think) by which time crowds were gathering and it was amazing, the Jools Holland performance was also spectacularly good, look out for Robbie Williams in the crowd.2 points

No joke though, I would seriously love to see Kill The DJ get put into rotation. And I know everyone says King For A Day has been overplayed, but I want it back just so Billie can wear a thong again.1 point

Apple Music has the album up and playable for CD1. Wonder if they remastered these or just used the AI track originals? This isn’t the case for Spotify yet.1 point

Feeling so grateful I could cry. It’s been an emotional few days but it looks like we’re in great shape weather-wise. We’re lucky as hell! I’m unsure about an outside merch stand just because of the wind today, it might pose an issue. But maybe they have somewhere they can park a that is shielded.1 point

According to the official tracklist Chris Lord-Alge mixed the live songs!! ❤️1 point

Wondering if anyone who did the Calling All Saviors VIP package for the US shows so far could share their experience? I’m going to the NY show tomorrow and am trying to figure out what my timing should be… like how early should I plan to get in line?1 point

I’m not entirely sure what this person is even saying, it’s really hard to fully comprehend the rambling. Tre is a different personality and literally runs around joking 100% of the time. He seems to easily get on people’s nerves which is probably more of an insight on the frustrated person than it is on Tre. My follow up questions are really how much of a fan is this person? Toronto has a lot of casual GD fans in my anecdotal experience of living there for almost 30 years. Everyone knows Billie Joe and for some reason Jason White or “the guy in the back”. Most Torontonians are not really aware of Tre and are definitely not ready for Tre after driving in 2 hours of traffic lol The problem is that everyone has some form of self importance and think a red carpet should be rolled for them when they demand it. This is an attitude that’s common in Toronto now. Toronto has a higher socioeconomic status as well so there’s a ton of people who will buy their way through experiences even if they aren’t real fans. As a fan of over 20 years now I have an idea of how Tre is and know how to approach him if I see him and more importantly know how to react with him even if he’s a bit off. I actually expect Tre to be off and if he isn’t off then I’d be either really confused or disappointed. I should sign up for reddit and write in saying I wish I had that experience with Tre lol Cause honestly it wouldnt bother me one bit.1 point
