Green Day nominated for a VMA?! I wonder if they'll be there. This is something I haven't seen in a long time!! This takes me back to the good ol days of AI when Green Day made an appearance at nearly every award show.

Honestly, I do hope I get to go to the Chicago show, but I'm holding out for a cheap resale ticket. The show is right after I get back from vacation, so that would be a fun week!

I’m finding the maga guys on GD fb posts fucking annoying now. I commented and some idiot trump supporter says “oh youre one of those you probably voted for Biden” I told the guy straight up I’m not American (for the second time in the interaction). Even if I was I’m a non conformist so you can’t assume something like that because I corrected you for not properly articulating yourself. All I see now is “Green day are pro establishment” from a bunch of Trump supporters who by nature are legitimately pro establishment. It’s like AI era all over again. Can’t even comment on my favourite band’s posts anymore without getting some negative jab from a redneck that lives in a house made of straw.

I was 10 years old when this was filmed, living in a sleepy town in North Yorkshire. If only I knew that a band that would change my fuckin' life were playing a couple of 100 miles away. Honestly... if I could time travel to any gig it would be this one.

I ordered a rain poncho the other day and keep checking the weather to see if there’s been any changes, but they keep changing it about every hour or so and so it’s still not 100% certain if there’s *gonna* be thunder during the times the shows start. I’m just hoping it’s light- med rain or nothing at all. Just gotta remain hopeful, it was supposed to storm here all day as well but it’s just been bright and sunny out. (I’m 20 mins from philly)

For New York, I arrived about an hour before Green Day went on. The merch stand outside the venue was out of patches, as the one immediately after one got their tickets scanned. They were not advertised there. Once I got to the lower level, the first merch stand I saw did have a sign mentioning the patches. They were still available, and after I mentioned wanting one, I was asked "Just one?", making me assume that I could have bought multiple. If they allow for folks to purchase more than one, of course!

How did it go? I'm curious to know if the VIPs are getting early entry in the US.

I’m back to feeling sad and pessimistic about the weather. This summer has been so dry in the Philly area, I seriously can’t believe the timing of this damn tropical storm. I hope it does something unexpected in the next two days that gets it away from here or slows it down or something. Ugh.

Oooo I think I have this issue! A local record store was going out of business and for one day you could come and grab as much stuff as you wanted for free. The records went real quick, but there were plenty of magazines one of which was a Green Day NME cover. I'll have to dig out all my mags and snap a picture of them. I'm pretty happy with my collection so far

Didn't buy any merch but I did save some of the bits of confetti with the one eyed bastard + saviors tour logos, laminated them and stuck them on my guitar. Felt the same, it was such a great show I'm really glad I have a permanent memento

I would literally jump into a hole before meeting Green Day in an uncontrolled setting. I would shrivel up and die. I'm 30 years old and still NOPE.

Rediscovered my account today, so this is a few days late I had the time of my life (pun definitely intended;)) at the Toronto show on Thursday! I had been dreaming about seeing Green Day live for a few years now and it finally happened and I'm just so happy I got the opportunity to go. Will definitely be going to the next tour
