  1. @ Billie, if you wanna maybe start wearing short sleeves at these 90 degree shows, we’d all enthusiastically support you, just saying.

  2. Because of the Punk Bunny repost and Keurig tag I’m thinking some coffee related bundle with new AI merch

  3. It was the same setlist at the festival shows in Europe. Not Dookie in full and Idiot only missing Extraordinary Girl. Good response from the crowd. No Dookie set piece and no plane. Was pretty fun but I was a bit too far for my liking but despite being far, the energy from where I was still really good. Billie seemed quite emotional (at least more than the Toronto show I went to) during Wake me up when September ends (and changed the lyrics to 40 years). More “hey ohs” than in Toronto. He mentioned people might recognize Good Riddance from Deadpool and Wolverine. In my opinion that song doesn’t need that movie at all, it’s already very well known. Overall great night! No more Saviors show for me for now. Really hope there is a second leg of the tour soon! edit: watched videos and lyrics of wake me up when septembers ends was 20 years and not 40 years like I said before

  5. Talking about covers, I know 19th Nervous Breakdown (by Rolling Stones) was recorded on Nimrod era. However, there is a picture posted by John Roecker in which there is a CD with many unreleased tracks from AI era (some of them used for later records/projects), including that cover. This CD would be part of an AI special release.

  6. This is what I took from it, too. I don’t think his humor/demeanor lands with everyone. I didn’t really see anything problematic with him in that story, other than not being overwhelmingly gracious like they seemed to expect. Out of the three guys, I always hear the worst fan interaction stories about Tre — I think Billie and Mike are naturally a bit friendlier or warmer, and Tre is more aloof (or just weird lmao) in a way that comes across poorly sometimes.

  7. On this day 3 years ago (4 August 2021), Green Day played in Queens, NY on the Hella Mega Tour. More photos: 15 years ago (4 August 2009), Green Day played in Miami, FL on the 21st Century Breakdown Tour. More photos: 23 years ago (4 August 2001), Green Day played KNDD 107.7 Endfest in Bremerton, WA on the Warning Tour. 35 years ago (4 August 1989), Green Day played Marsugi's in San Jose, CA.

  9. See the Wembley thread. There were multiple posts from different members of the film team and a very large (20+) camera crew. Much more than for just archives or a live feed. Their own camera crew of Baxley and Schneider usually take the film for social media. One of the camera operators said they were looking forward to seeing the final result, another compared the experience to BIAB. They definitely filmed it for a future release That’s what one fan was told. Personally I think most of those songs have already been released in one form or another on various albums, deluxe editions and side projects.

  11. I’m not entirely sure what this person is even saying, it’s really hard to fully comprehend the rambling. Tre is a different personality and literally runs around joking 100% of the time. He seems to easily get on people’s nerves which is probably more of an insight on the frustrated person than it is on Tre. My follow up questions are really how much of a fan is this person? Toronto has a lot of casual GD fans in my anecdotal experience of living there for almost 30 years. Everyone knows Billie Joe and for some reason Jason White or “the guy in the back”. Most Torontonians are not really aware of Tre and are definitely not ready for Tre after driving in 2 hours of traffic lol The problem is that everyone has some form of self importance and think a red carpet should be rolled for them when they demand it. This is an attitude that’s common in Toronto now. Toronto has a higher socioeconomic status as well so there’s a ton of people who will buy their way through experiences even if they aren’t real fans. As a fan of over 20 years now I have an idea of how Tre is and know how to approach him if I see him and more importantly know how to react with him even if he’s a bit off. I actually expect Tre to be off and if he isn’t off then I’d be either really confused or disappointed. I should sign up for reddit and write in saying I wish I had that experience with Tre lol Cause honestly it wouldnt bother me one bit.

  17. I was not completely at the back. I was maybe in the first 1/4 to 1/3 of the length still (still enough for me not to see much). No sound issue from where I was.

  18. I hope it wasn’t me that didn’t seem excited 😅, because I was. I guess being further away was still slightly less exciting for me (I could barely see the band), I had some issues to take care of and couldn’t go find a spot earlier on. But being further made me appreciate even more how much Billie is good at working the crowd. People were really responding from the front to the back. Billie’s vocals were great too. The band seemed to enjoy the energy of the crowd which was fun.

  19. Or maybe a special Punk Bunny roast? 🤔 Whatever, if the box is that big, it's gonna be pretty expensive. My poor bank account 😅

  20. That crowd looked really huge and the show looked great from the footage. Am sorry you folks who were there don’t seem that excited by it!

  23. It's over and the setlist was boring. Not gonna lie I like every Green Day shows but it wasn't AI and Dookie. Really really quick show. Quebec City last year was still my favorite with 1981 and Stuart. Mike Dirnt waved at me

  25. Technically it was on a physical release. A Promo CD to be more accurate. But yes, I got your point... and I like it, too. I guess Favorite son, Too much too soon, Governator and When its time will be included too.

  31. He’s definitely blunt and not overly polite but that’s not the same as rude or offensive (though he can be). In this case it sounds like they just didn’t appreciate his sense of humor or direct way of talking, he’s not a super engaging people person. And they don’t say where they saw him, but if it was at his hotel or somewhere he didn’t want to be accosted by fans then that’s on them.

  32. Glad you enjoyed it. Ever since the Wembley show I've had this feeling too. Trouble is, mine definitely is not a reasonable distance-flying from the UK to the US or Canada!🤣😉 I'm just going to have to wait for the next tour. Sigh. 🥲😇

  33. It just sounds like he was saying random jokey stuff like he usually would. I don't know why they would expect a free full meet and greet and autograph/photo session when just randomly seeing him, a couple minutes chat sounds good to me. Plenty of times they don't even stop to talk at all when leaving shows. Maybe a language barrier thing (considering they took offense to him "lying about his flyer" when he just made a light hearted comment).

  34. Reading through that I'm not seeing what he did or said that was bad? Like, he happened to have had some beers after the show and didn't talk to them as long as they wanted or say the things they wanted? Just sounds like he was a bit drunk and joking around and not there to spend a lot of time talking. Not sure why they'd expect more when just randomly meeting someone (not at a meet and greet etc), sounds like an entitled attitude the way they keep going on and on about how much they spent and traveled as if that entitles them to anything but seeing the show. I can't see a single thing he said there that is particularly dickish or "very rude".

  35. I wonder if Green Day is writing music while on tour. Billie's almost always writing, right? I bet they've at least got some stand alone singles ready to fire and aim at us.

  38. So here is what I remember: Green Day started at 8:30 and finished at around 10:50 Rooftop was closed, not sure if it’s common for concerts at this venue or not The plane during Dookie made people pretty excited Billie’s voice sounded great throughout the night. I don’t know how the band can keep this level of energy playing that many songs, it’s super impressive. At first I kept trying for regular-priced pit tickets and didn’t find any. Ended up getting pretty great floor seats in the section right next to the pit. I was worried about the sound in a stadium, but from where I was, the sound was great. But I did read about people sitting elsewhere where the sound was not so good. Pit had some room left at the back. Slightly less intersection from Billie compared to what I am used to but it allowed to make room for more songs. Just slightly less, because I think that he also timed the interactions better within songs. So either way, like now or like before is great. I thought 60 Canadian $ for T-shirts is too expensive but after seeing the show and loving it so much I was like ok I’ll pay the 60 $. So after that the show I went and the 2-3 styles i liked only had sizes that were two sizes too big for me, so I only got the tote bag and the show’s patch. —- Hearing Dookie and especially American Idiot in full and in order was such a dream come true for me as a fan. Honestly, I feel like a 2h 20 mins greatest hits along with a few Saviors songs would also have worked for casual fans and the fact that they chose to do not 1 but 2 albums in full along with 5 songs from Saviors is such a gift to their hardcore fans. So a big thank you to Billie, Mike and Tré ❤️. The set is fantastic, the inflatable stuffs are super cute. It does really seem like a big celebration of Dookie, American Idiot and Saviors. The only song I wasn’t too excited to hear was Know Your Enemy, but the fan interaction on it is, each time, really heartwarming to see so I guess that’s fine. Highlights for me: Not to exaggerate but it’s all of it, but if I had to choose the big standouts for me, it would be: Dilemma, the Dookie plane, Wake me up when September ends, Homecoming, Bobby Sox, Billie burping early into Good Riddance and saying something like sorry it’s the poutine 😂 Overall, it could be my favorite Green Day show ever..,not exactly sure, but for sure it is my favorite setlist they have ever done. I miss it already and my wish list would be a second leg of the tour, this time, with different or more songs from Saviors being played (I really want to hear Fancy Sauce and Suzie Chapsticks live!). That’s all!

  43. Best thing is to go on the threads for the US shows that are happening before yours and try to find out how the queues were organized and if VIPs had early entrance or not. It might be different in the US than it was in the EU, because in the EU VIP packages specified "early entrance". People with VIP tickets at the shows in France started showing up at 6AM, but that was a bit overkill as by 10AM there were still no more than 5 people in the VIP lines. Most started arriving after noon.

  44. The VIPs at Wembley had a designated entrance but it was actually ten different gates and the VIP host never showed up. Really hope you have a better experience
