On this day 15 years ago (28 July 2009), Green Day played a second night at Madison Square Garden on the 21st Century Breakdown Tour. I mixed up the photos of the two nights, so these are the ones you saw yesterday. I'll put the correct photos in yesterday's post. More photos: 23 years ago (2001), Green Day played in Magna, UT on the Warning Tour. 24 years ago (2000), they played (setlist incomplete) in Jacksonville, FL on the Warning Tour. And 30 years ago (1994), they played in Pittsburgh, PA on the Dookie Tour. Thanks for sharing your photos! This project is a lot more fun when someone on here has been at one of the shows. I just looked at the setlist and saw they played (part of) Castaway and Drama Queen! Amazing. I can't believe that tour was 15 years ago either.

Billie's at it again!

Ah, and in the second night was when Billie took my flag. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of that, and I was never able to find any high quality ones. But at the time I found either here or in the Idiot Club someone who managed to capture a video of it, and luckily he was very close to where I was, so he almost got it from my perspective. I still have that flag with me and it's full of sentimental value. 🥹 Some other pics I took that night (again only at the beginning and during KFAD): For the first night, if I remember correctly, Billie played the first verse of Castaway and stopped around the beginning the chorus. I was losing my shit, I love that song. I don't remember if he stopped because he couldn't remember the rest of the lyrics or because the band didn't remember that song... I have the feeling it was more the band that wasn't following along? But I might be mistaken, it was a long time ago. I have zero memory of them playing Drama Queen, but I trust whatever setlist.fm says. For the second night, if I remember correctly Billie played Macy's Day Parade acoustic towards the end (it was either that show or Venezuela the year after, but I'm almost sure it was this one because in Venezuela he played Whatsername), another moment where I was losing my shit. 🥹 I think the conclusion is that they should add more random songs from Warning every now and then to the set list 😂

I just realized how amazing the “From Chicago to Toronto” lyric in She’s a Rebel will sound when they’re playing in Toronto. Hope they do something special for that. 4 MORE DAYS!!!

I don't... it was a video interview either towards the end of the RevRad era or during the Father of All era. The interviewer mentioned Macron and Billie said "he's hot" or something along those lines. I want to say RevRad because I kind of checked out during the Father of All era, but then I might've seen it on GDC. Tried searching "Macron" but no luck

I visited the seaside today and saw two Corvettes! One was yellow and black, and the other was black. All I could think about is why weren't they spray painted red?!😉😆

This sounds amazing! (And hello fellow New Englander!) I was thinking of catching either the Fenway show or the Citi Field show (in the cheapest nosebleeds seat LOL), but I don't think I will logistically be able to pull it off now. I hope you have a great time though!

Green Day played the Orbit Room in Grand Rapids (Detroit), MI, 30 years ago yesterday (26 July 1994). 3 years ago today (27 July 2021), Green Day played in Atlanta, GA on the Hella Mega Tour. 15 years ago (2009), Green Day played Madison Square Garden in NYC on the 21st Century Breakdown Tour.
