So it's a video and not a photo, but it still needs to be here. https://www.instagram.com/p/C9qfJbsyUek/7 points

Just saw Billie's Suzie Chapstick performance on instagram and I'm swooning over here4 points

On this day 15 years ago, Green Day played in Philadelphia, PA on the 21st Century Breakdown Tour. More photos: Billie met Obama on 21 July 2008. 23 years ago (2001), Green Day played in Irvine, CA on the Warning Tour. 24 years ago (2000), they played in Montreal, Canada on the Warped Tour.3 points

Yeah, it tends to be around 3-5 for folks. I saw promo for this on Channel 7 this morning (the Holiday MV with a banner at the bottom mentioning the show) and the host mentioned it and I’m like… shit, this is happening in 5 days.3 points

I keep hovering back to the Trilogy a lot even though they're not my favorite albums, "Stay the Night" specifically, it's such a fun song.3 points

Maybe they'll play Corvette Summer to promote it after the video?3 points

Boo me all you'd like, but American Idiot will always be #1 for me. I don't care if it's one of the hits. It's the song that first exposed me to the boys, and will always remain my favorite.2 points

I wonder what they would cut for it. Maybe get rid of another Saviors song for it? Or possibly another one of the random singles they play. I wish it would be Know Your Enemy they cut but I doubt it considering they seem to love playing it.2 points

I get it, it's summer, but Goodnight Adeline and Suzie Chapstick have been getting more plays, so I'd have gone with one of them. Hope it gets a lot of plays though!2 points

I have a renewed love for Brat lately. Song’s way too short but it’s just soo catchy. All time favs are JOS, Letterbomb and Having a Blast.1 point

I cannot imagine a French theater screening it, but who knows. 😂 Also, will this be like a remake of Heart Like a Hand Grenade, or would it be a different spin on it? I remember I waited for ages for Heart Like a Hand Grenade to drop and it never did in the years of my hard core fandom, part I. So I only watched it for the first time last year shortly after Bataclan, and I am glad I watched it in my 30s and not in my teens, because my teenage self would have been blinded enough by her love of Green Day to defend it 😅 I hated it. So much wasted potential.1 point

Every time I see new pictures of Billie, I ask myself how it is possible that he is a 52-year-old man.1 point

Definitely needs to be physical media. I live in the arse end of nowhere, so there's no way they'll be any screenings near me...1 point

I'd love a Strange Days Are Here to Stay video, almost feels like you could single out that song and it would be good representative of the album as a whole thematically.1 point

Have separated the guys out too (Billie is so cute) And from Tre on Instagram1 point

Can't believe I'm saying this because I hated it until I heard it live, but Bobby Sox. Specifically the shitty audio from Lyon. It's a bop and that was the best performance I heard. I knew all the lyrics not because I'd been willingly listening to it, but because my girlfriend wouldn't shut the fuck up and... well, it turned out I actually enjoyed singing along to it, so I've got to thank her for annoying me with that song after all. But my all time favourite Green Day song? 8th Avenue Serenade, of course. It is my username. Saaaaay so long from the stars!1 point

While I'd love to get more Saviors songs on the set list, that makes me worry they'll drop an existing one in its place. They'll definitely keep TADIKM and Dilemma; I hope they don't drop OEB.1 point

Based on streams Suzie Chapstick should have gotten the video/single treatment…still think that Suzie and father to a son had the best chance for crossover appeal…..Dilemma and Bobby Sox should have been pushed and promoted more…hopefully because of Dilemma’s success on Rock Charts it and the album will get some Grammy love1 point
-
That’s true with this new release I’m guessing they’ll add it to the US setlist. That should be fun1 point

Will put them on my list! I know Billie Joe isn't *big* on writing (besides songwriting) but I'd love for him to do an autobiography, or to have a AB ghost written, or done through a series of interviews. It'd be fucking amazeballs.1 point
-
Hopefully this means we'll be seeing Corvette Summer live soon! It's one of my favourites off of the album, so I'm hoping so. I'd love to see it live.1 point
-
With Dilemma and Bobby Sox both being excellent songs and still not being hits (outside of rock radio), I guess the choice of single is irrelevant. I just don't think Green Day will produce another mainstream hit if neither of those could do it.1 point
-
I likely would have chosen either Strange Days or Living in the 20s. Both speak to the current political climate very well. But Corvette Summer feels like a reasonable choice for...summer. Still can't wait to see the video!1 point

Green Day x Mark Hamill is a wonderful crossover. He’s such a cool dude.1 point

Strange Days Are Here To Stay would have been my choice but I understand why they're choosing this one.1 point

LMNB came up on my shuffle the other day and 6 months later that song still rocks.1 point

I was only a bit further back (three rows from the front but further over to the side just beyond Mike) and it was totally chill. I wasn't sure if anywhere was really crazy/crushed as I couldn't tell. I actually like it like that (maybe because I've been lucky to not get hurt etc in the past) and was tempted to find a crazier part of the crowd but I didn't want to give up the good view I had plus the atmosphere was still lively enough to jump and dance etc so I took the compromise. If I'm in a stadium and can see all the band member's faces can't justify moving lol. But I'm glad there's still crazy areas with the crowd all moving together etc, although hopefully safe and friendly too of course. Thought maybe shows had become more tame but I guess not!1 point

Fun fact: You can hate the creator/inventor of something and still like or use that something. I dislike Markie Z a lot but I still use FB for events and to keep in contact with family, I also enjoy a certain animated tv show even tho the creator is an ass and I think he should be fired. These things can coexist.1 point

I guess it’s time to dust this off again:1 point
