  1. Solid show. My favourite of this tour is still Glasgow, but then I think stadium shows are generally speaking not my thing, also just sonically. That said, I believe Billie really likes London and it showed all throughout the night. He was grinning like a kid at Christmas . I suppose it’s refreshing as a part-Brit to hear a positive outsider’s perspective on the UK and London, and to be fair not all is rotten in this country Anyhow, it seems he’d been looking forward to this show and kept some energy reserves for this night, I mean he and the band really gave it their all. And I could also really sense his gratitude for the fact that after more than 30 years of touring and 14 albums later, and even 20 years after their last major commercial break, they still managed to fill Wembley in full (sold out). You could hear the gratitude in his voice and also genuine concern for people in the moshpit too. Great night.

  5. Totally agree with you, I really like how Coley has fitted in, Jason has been too much for me for some time now. I don’t particularly like his sax solos but the organ sound does not fit to me and he overdoes it. I think you could feel the band’s love and gratitude this whole tour so far. That footage of Billie sitting in the stage at the end is just beautiful. 💚🥹💚

  6. Epic show, was here 14 years ago? Had seats this time but it was great getting to hear dookie and American idiot. Billie stopped the show twice to make sure people that fell in the crowd had gotten help which was nice

  7. I’m still glowing from last night, they were at their very best, I got a bit emotional when it was over. Here’s my instagram caption so I thought I’d share: Forever grateful to have had access to MTV back in 2004 to start my musical education 📺🖤 Last night was my 6th (?) time seeing Green Day live and this might have been my favourite 😻. What a killer set list, hearing all of AI, Dookie, all the Saviors singles plus the usual hits was honestly a full circle outerwordly experience. My heart is so so full. The energy, pace, and stage design on this tour were unmatched, truly the best live band in the world. And Wembley just does it best, seeing 80,000 people behind us was almost overwhelming. It also felt extra special as i was here with my mum 14 years ago on the 21st cb tour (which was our first ever time in England). Sam (my fiance) caught one of Tre’s drumsticks, Billie brought Jakob up on stage to play She! I could write an essay…… pics just don’t do it justice. Honestly this is what life is about, Rock n Roll forever and Rage & Love to my og’s who get it ❤️🖤 /// alsoooo it looks like Billie will become a grandad very very soon 👀 I saw joey and his wife getting their picture taken by Alice Baxley on the side of the stage and they were posing with her belly 🤫

  8. I was singing along to OEB! I don't know if I might have mentioned it in one or two posts, but I LOVE this song!🤣😉 I did kind of notice that the crowd seemed a bit quieter during the new songs, which is a shame. One of the things that made my day was being gifted a GD bracelet by a very kind stranger! Did anybody else meet the lovely lady who was giving away beaded bracelets? She asked if I'd like one, so I asked her if she had any OEB ones and she said she had bada BING bada BING bada boom, so I knew I needed that one! How fabulous is this?!🥰

  9. Incredible show! The last time my sister and I were on Mike's side was our first show 15 years ago, now finally ended up on his side again and it was glorious to see his funny facial expressions and crowd interactions throughout every song. Got a really nice spot couple people away from the barrier a little over to the side where there was an excellent view and the crowd wasn't too rowdy but not too dead either with a mix of people mostly just standing/filming (although the audio's gonna be atrocious for the people who filmed the whole thing with that booming bassy speaker a few feet away lol) and people jumping and dancing and singing more, a great atmosphere with room for everyone to do their thing. Only thing that shocked me was no one singing "BADA BING BADA BING BADA BOOM" during One Eyed Bastard! My sister and I had to sing it twice as loud to make up for it. Was it standard for most people not to sing the new songs at this show/others or just where we happened to be standing? Still other than that the crowd was really good and still had fun during the new songs even if they didn't know them. The performance was incredible, everyone especially Billie's happiness and enthusiam on full display and his appreciation for London/England was sweet, as was his stopping the show a couple times to make sure security helped people (even if that stand up routine was rough lmao), and him playing guitar with his son Jakob after bringing him on to play She was the most adorable thing ever. Dookie and AI in full both amazing and the special effects compliment them really well, with them ripping through songs to fit in two entire albums plus plenty of new songs plus more the show felt so long and epic and never let up. Had a blast dancing and singing all night. I never normally buy merch at shows but since the merch booth was right by the shop I was popping in early in the day I just went to check it out because of the cool patches which at first glance I thought were already sold out. Turned out they didn't display the patches and instead had them under the counter just for people who asked and would only sell one to each person, not surprising given how popular they are. Had to get one, gonna sew it on some clothing to make the most of it I think. Queuing was really well organised and chill and once again ran into/ended up queuing with a couple friends we've seen at like 6 shows now as well as meeting a couple of lovely GDCers I hadn't before, whole day was enjoyable. It was awesome to meet you and your mum!!! I'm so sorry for how she was treated when she had to leave the pit but good to know she got to enjoy Dookie in full and about Billie's smiles! You two are absolute stars and glad you had a lovely time together minus that part of it. Were you on Mike's side and singing a lot and sat on the floor between bands by any chance? Just because of where you're from wondering if a guy behind us having a great time was you haha

  10. I came to check no one was camping for VIP the night before the show, thinking no one was that crazy... and I was the 5th arrival! So I rolled out my sleeping bag and slept there. It was actually an easy camp because it wasn't too cold. This was my first show since 2019 with my mum (our favourite fairytale villain, Rumpelstiltskin). She'd hardly left the house in that time because of a leg injury and she has arthritis anyway, so she's able to stand but only if she can lean on something, which is why I was willing to camp to make sure she had the barrier to lean on. I got us our spots in front of Mike and we had the best time dancing to Dookie. I was so happy to see my mum's face light up. Billie kept smiling at us too. Sadly we'd just been standing too long though and my mum had to give up during All By Myself. She went to look for somewhere to sit and told me to stay, but I was worrying too much, so I left my spot to look for her after Dilemma. The staff were fucking useless - they laughed and eventually just turned their backs. I apologise to Bellahouston Park for insulting their concert hosting skills because Wembley was 1000x worse. I couldn't find her, the staff wouldn't help me and calls were going to voicemail so I tried to get back to my spot and ended up about 10th row from the end of the catwalk which, honestly, was pretty great considering I have no experience of trying to get back in. I had a good view of Billie when he was on the catwalk and enjoyed the rest of the show in a much less toxic atmosphere than there was with all the VIPs on the front row (and I include myself in that description because every hardcore fan I've ever met can be like that at times). It was actually a lot of fun dancing, jumping and occasionally losing my footing with a load of strangers who were just there to enjoy the show wherever they were. Staff continued to be absolutely useless and dismissive after the show but other fans helped me find my mum. Massive shoutout to Hermione for trying so hard to get us reunited. Turned out my mum was taken to the medical room (when staff told me she wasn't), offered a spot with a view of the wall, laughed at for buying a standing ticket, then told there was nowhere she could go but the spot staring at the wall, even though there were loads of empty seats right there. She ended up sitting on a rock outside, since it was the only place she could sit, where she vaguely heard a few songs and the general sound of the crowd. Before we went I emailed the stadium about accessible options and they actually told me she could get a seat on the day of the show if she needed it, so... fuck Wembley Stadium. Love Green Day though and spending any time enjoying our favourite band with my wonderful mum is always the best thing ever 💖 She enjoyed Dookie and it was lovely seeing Billie recognise her so even buying her the VIP was worth it.

  11. It was absolutely amazing! I don't even know where to begin. Everything of it was just perfect. The tour in general was one of my favorite tours they ever did and this show was my favorite show out of the ones I've been to. I was really scared about the crowd beforehand, because of that huge capacity, but (at least in my spot) it was very relaxed and everyone was really nice. And there's hope we might get a live DVD or something of this show 🤞🏻 There were a lot of cameras and also two guys constantly filming the crowd and their passes said "Film Wembley"

  12. It was amazing. I'm still knackered and my legs and feet ache, but it was unbelievably special to be at this show. 🥰 Jacob, the aeroplane, the confetti, OEB, the kindness of Billie stopping the show twice to check on fans...🥰 I'll say it again, it was special I've still got my front pitch wristband on because I'm trying to figure out how to get it off without damaging it!lol! I'm sure I'll be back posting again with another long rambling post later.😉 Update: My Dad made a little tool to unclip the wristband button, so the band is intact and did not need to be cut. We can all sleep easier tonight!😅

  14. I was on Mike’s side yes, but because I had got tickets last minute through a resale, I had a seat, not standing (where I like to be given a choice). I was row 15, section 141, so basically the section on the edge of where the seating area ends and the stairs leading to the pit and golden circle are. Mind you, I was indeed going crazy haha I think I jumped and sang my heart out for basically every song. Most around me were fairly static, but as the night went on, more and more were dancing and singing to the music too. i did mess up the odd lyric though, I think, especially on Dookie (oops) - didn’t care though, I was having too much fun for that

  15. I can’t believe the European leg is over just like that! Watching clips from these shows has been incredible and has me even more excited about my upcoming US date. I think this is one of the best setlists they’ve had in a long time and they just seem like they’re having so much fun on tour. Great energy all around.

  16. First of all, it was such an amazing concert. I sang my heart and soul out. It was also very emotional to be back at this special place after 14 years. Even Bob Gruen has published many pictures from Wembley 2010 in his Green Day book. However, I doubt that the additional cameramen were there for a professional concert film. There were simply too few professional cameras (e.g., a camera crane) on site. I believe that they will use the footage to create a trailer for the upcoming US leg to boost ticket sales

  18. Was it Tre for sure? I could vaguely see the outline of the person through the black fabric and everyone was speculating it was Tre but couldn't tell for sure Wow bracelet is awesome! I love it too and glad to know others were singing it, it was super fun to dance and sing to . Whole stadium singing bada bing bada boom would've been sick but I guess the tour is also the Dookie and AI tour so it's fair enough. So happy they played it along with Bobby Sox!

  19. Don’t wanna dampen the enthusiasm, I’d love another live album or DVD and I don’t get why they haven’t done one for so long, but there are two things that speak against this: 1. When filming live gigs, they usually have a camera crane to enable gliding shots over the audience and different angles of the stage. That was the case for AAF and BIAB, but not here. Now, it’s possible they could use drones, but I didn’t see any and didn’t hear about anyone spotting any either. 2. It’s quite common for the camera crew to have the tag “film” as an alternate for “video” I believe. Could be wrong, but it certainly is here in Switzerland. Not saying they couldn’t turn the footage into a live DVD, but then that would be more likely bonus material, I think. A bit like that 2005 footage from Tokyo:

  21. I just saw the footage of Billie sitting on the floor at the end of the show 🥹 I feel that is a lot of us at the end of the show too. I only have the AI and 21CBD tours to compare to, but he did seem so much more present in the shows in this tour, it was lovely to see.

  27. Yeah of course, it could mean absolutely nothing. It was just flamboyant how much they filmed the audience as well yesterday. Something they haven't done the other shows I attended. So it was a thought they could maybe be doing another DVD or something like that 🙂 And just before the show when the instruments got checked for a last time it was Tre himself playing the drums yesterday what was pretty cool 😁

  28. So sorry for that the staff was so unhelpful and rude with you and your mom! It sucks when things like this put a damper on what is otherwise a wonderful experience. Glad your mom still got to enjoy all of Dookie and lots of nice interactions with Billie! and that you managed to make the most of the rest of the show and then found some kind people to help you find your mom at the end 🤗

  31. Plus a little snippet of Free Falling earlier in the night! Great night, I was about 5/6 people back from the end of the catwalk. The crowd around me were good fun! I'd have to echo the above. Billie sounds unbelievably good at the moment 😍 the Dookie part does feel a little rushed, but once they get through that and into the mixed part before AI, it feels more relaxed. I've gotta say the new songs sound amazing live, Look Ma, OEB and Bobby Sox as a closer work so well live! I do wish there was a bit of variety to the set lists but oh well. The only song that's missing from the traditional GD set list for me is Hitchin a Ride. I didn't think I'd like this two full albums approach, but I think I could listen to AI in full at every show ❤️ On to Wembley 😎

  32. It they announce a tour in South America with a stop in Venezuela, my poor heart wouldn't be able to take it. I would definitely have to go (haven't been back since I moved to France 6 years ago). As it is, I am trying hard to think of an excuse to go to the US to see them. I still can't fully believe I was so lucky as to hear AI full live three times, but I also haven't been able to come to come to terms with the idea that I might never experience that again.

  34. Been waiting for a live show since the trilogy, so I’ve stopped hoping. It’s such a shame that we didn’’t get a live show from the RevRad tour ☹️ A Wembley show must be one of the best arenas to record in, imo. Luckily we already have two festival shows (RaR and Isle of Wight) for now though..

  35. That was the plan but I guess we’ll know when the US tour starts. Don’t get me wrong I hope Jason is recovered, but Coley has been beyond appreciative and so thrilled to have this gig I kind of would like him to stay. I don’t miss the sax solos at all, they were getting old.

  37. I have been wishing for them to alternate between JoS and Homecoming since the American Idiot tour in 2005. I gave up on that hope during the 21stCBD tour in 2009 when they played two nights in a row in NYC and both nights they played JoS. Maybe now that they have seen the crowd loves it they might do it? But I still wouldn't get my hopes up. What an awful experience!! And it could have been so much worse, someone could have gotten gravely injured like that. I am glad it was not the case, but it still must have been so scary. Luckily I didn't see this behavior at any of the shows I attended. In Paris one girl did fall when people dived for the drumsticks, but a guy and I immediately helped her up with no problem. And I didn't see any one get multiple sticks, nor fighting over one. Unpopular opinion, but I kinda hate these. 😅 I mean, I am glad for the people I have seen getting engaged in the videos that have circulated, because they seem so happy. But if my partner proposed to me during a Green Day show, I would be less than thrilled. If he did it while they play the American Idiot set I could slap him, like "pal I am on an emotional roller-coaster here, let me enjoy this ride and we can deal with this later" 😂 if I am in a Green Day concert I want to fully absorb it and experience and commit it to memory, I don't want to be emotionally checked out for part of the show because someone proposed to me. To be fair, for the same reason I don't like wedding proposals at graduations or other significant life events. But again, the people in the videos looked happy and excited, so congrats to them!

  38. God I wish I was going to Wembley! This has been the first time I’ve managed to do more than one show and I was a little worried two shows so close together would make the second feel dull or samey but it didn’t at all, in fact it’s made me need more worse than ever!

  44. Great catch! It’s been a minute since I’ve looked into the esoteric details of the Fernandes guitars. I added Hans to my feed around that time the photo of the cavity was shared, not sure how I missed it. Considering those neck profile differences, I would concur that Blue is an RST-80 as well. I actually didn’t know the RST-50’s had a more C profile to them, so good to know moving forward. Since Blue at its core is a 1:1 replica of a 1950’s Fender Strat, that makes sense it has a V profile. It also lines up with the birdseye maple neck from the ‘97 Blue Fender that @alfredenormalowns, as he described it as a V shape. To my understanding, that neck is supposed to be a precise reproduction of the Fernandes neck specifications. I love how all of this is falling into place now. I also got work to out some more details regarding the Blue Fender researching it for my replica, definitely will make a fresh thread when that’s ready!
