As usual, I wasn't supposed to be here. I was offered a free ticket and couldn't resist. I arrived later than I meant to, but the McFly fans in front of me kindly let me in after McFly finished, so I had an amazing spot in Mike's corner. The band were obviously on fire (when aren't they?). An incredibly passionate performance. Billie got emotional several times. They played the singles from Dookie and all of American Idiot except Extraordinary Girl. Very different to the Lyon show - it felt less scripted and Billie interacted with the crowd more. That said, I couldn't choose a favourite of the two. They were just different. Lyon miiiight have the edge because the atmosphere was amazing but I might change my mind tomorrow. Also, whilst Billie interacted more, Mike hardly interacted at all, in contrast to Lyon where he must have smiled and pointed at 50+ people. In Holiday, Billie took my England flag, played with it for a while then gave it back. What a lovely bloke. 💖 He kept saying England does it best and I can't disagree. He gave his old speech in Letterbomb - "this isn't a party, it's a celebration!" Homecoming was the highlight. Absolutely incredible. I didn't like Bobby Sox when I first heard it, but I've totally warmed to it after hearing it in Lyon then here. I love it now! And I will never ever complain about hearing One Eyed Bastard. What a banger. We were all chanting "one more song" for so long and so loudly I thought they might actually do it, but of course they didn't. It was lovely seeing everyone so enthusiastic though. I'm really not a show counter - I don't generally give a shit - but I realised from setlist.fm that this would be my 50th show and I admit I got a bit sentimental about that. It was definitely a worthy 50th show. I love Green Day.12 points

That's a great story. I'm pleased you enjoyed the show.🥰 It's nice to hear the McFly fans were so cool! Amen to OEB!🤘 Now you've mentioned Mike, I can kinda see what you mean. Strange. I reckon he's saving all his energy for the Wembley show!😉 I'm glad you're repenting for your sins!🤣3 points

Found this video of the first half of the Isle of Wight Festival. The bit about "Isle of Jason White on guitar...I've been waiting all day to say that" just kills me. 🤣2 points

That's interesting to hear you say that, because from watching it on the TV, the crowd seemed quite good. Yes, it was quite funny watching Billie laugh at the plane. I didn't think it stayed out for long!lol!2 points

What a lucky, lucky fan! I love how he kept interacting with her, even when she was back in the crowd. How extra special for her!🥰 I wish I was Molly!😉 This is the first whole show from this tour that I have watched. Wow! It was so incredible to see the energy from they guys. A couple of things I noticed. Am I imaging it, or did Mike have an outfit change somewhere along the way?🤔😆 Also the Dookie aeroplane didn't stay up for very long. Is this usual?!🤣2 points

I’m really glad that they still kept all five Saviors songs on the condensed setlist. I didn’t love the idea that for shorter shows they’d just play oldies instead.2 points

Really wish I could be at the UK shows but with these huge venues I'm still just not well enough (well might be able to make it through the show but not the travelling,etc)2 points

One Eyed Bastard was the song I listened to the least on the Saviors album, but this performance was spectacular, I can't stop watching it.1 point

I thought it was someone known (in the Green Day-verse at least) because even in setlist.fm it's like "with fan Molly" on stage 😂1 point

I think it was the full show. A mix of Dookie songs and greatest hits, and AI. The only song not played from AI was Extraordinary Girl1 point

My first ever green day concert. Man I was right next to Billie in the golden circle. He is so handsome and has aged gracefully. I was with my wife. We danced, sang and pushed each other and other people too. At that time I thought it was kinda unpleasant but thinking back now it was one of the best moments ive had in my life. We loved interrupters but didn't like the hives much. Also we had stayed in Amsterdam for 3 days before the show and what an amazing city. Can't wait for new shows.1 point

We had front standing (golden circle but not VIP) in Manchester and it was great. As intended we were nearer the back on Mike’s side but had pretty good room to dance and didn’t feel too far away.1 point

On this day 2 years ago (22 June 2022) Green Day played in Groningen, Netherlands on the Hella Mega Tour. 6 years ago (2018), Turn It Around: The Story of East Bay Punk was released. 23 years ago (2001), Green Day played in Lowell, MA on the Warning Tour. 33 years ago (1991), they played one of their many shows at 924 Gilman Street. And 34 years ago (1990), they played their first show outside of California at someone's house in Seattle, WA.1 point

On this day 23 years ago (20 June 2001), Green Day played in St. Louis, MO on the Warning Tour. Imagine hearing Castaway, Church on Sunday, No Pride, Fashion Victim, Redundant and Macy's Day Parade in one show. I know that was standard back then, but still. 26 years ago (1998), Green Day played the KROQ Weenie Roast in Irvine, CA.1 point

Hay everyone, it’s been some time since I’ve been on here. I may start checking in from time to time But I don’t know. i just wanna say that I’m sorry for blowing up a little while ago on here. I was just really upset over the accusations that i was spreading fake songs and lying to people. Doing that has never been my intention. i’ve just always wanted to find cigarettes and valentines and I’m always looking for leads, I’m a huge lost media buff and love rare stuff related to green day. it just sucks because I know there are some good people in the fandom but also some really shitty ones whom I won’t name. But for those who have been supportive thank you so so much for your kindness. once again I just wanna say I never meant to lie or deceive anybody. All I ever did was share stuff that I thought may or may not have been a lead, I never claimed any of it to be 100% real, I just was sharing because I wanted people’s opinions on if it was real or not. thanks green day community for helping me stay up to date with my fav band, and hopefully things can be more peaceful and civilized in the future. once again, I’m sorry. -Banjo Dewulf.1 point
