I'm looking forward to seeing them play a more mixed setlist again, but these shows are really really special, a dream come true for many fans. I don't know what I was thinking when I only got tickets for one show of this tour, now I wish I could go to at least 3 more 🥲 but it's always like this, I should've learned my lesson from last time 😄 let's just hope it won't be years till we get Green Day in Europe again5 points

On this day 2 years ago (18 June 2022), Green Day played Rock for People in Czechia on the Hella Mega Tour. More photos: 7 years ago (2017), they played in Budapest, Hungary on the Revolution Radio Tour. More photos: 11 years ago (2013), they played in Łódź, Poland on the 99 Revolutions Tour. More photos: A special one! 19 years ago (2005), Green Day played the Milton Keynes National Bowl in England. It was the first of the two shows recorded for Bullet in a Bible. More photos: And 23 years ago (2001), they played the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee, WI on the Warning Tour.5 points

Excuse me? Hahaha. Speak for yourself, I'm happy with the full Dookie and the full AI. 15 year old me dreamed of this and would have never thought it'd become a reality, and my 30 something old self is channeling her now, so I'm here for it and cannot get enough of it. I'm already coming down with the blues just thinking tomorrow is possibly the last time I'll hear AI in full live. Sure I'd love a tour with a lot of their other albums (as far as I'm concerned they could mostly skip the trilogy), but this tour is amazing and we gotta enjoy it because I doubt they'll ever do this again.3 points

Given this setlist and the massive stage production, I hope they treat us with some edited live footage. Not necessarily a whole production like BIAB/Awesome as F**k, but something Metallica-like, with one song from each concert (so that they can show everyone how they're the greatest live band atm).2 points

I loved the black hair but think it’s time has passed, it will age him now. I like the dirty blonde with dark roots. 😍2 points

You will not look like an idiot for going by yourself. I go to shows by myself all the time. If I hear anything about a meet up I will let you know. 😊2 points

Just a picture I liked from Germany that I hadn't seen posted yet. Was originally a story on this IG account.1 point

It seems Saviors is getting way less negative jabs than previous albums. I wonder how, if at all, this will affect future albums. Saviors serves up variety while not straying too far off the beaten path, I think we could see a string of albums like this, like Nimrod. a lot of variety that works within the Green Day universe. 2 or 3 albums like that, and then maybe another one that's more of an epic, Idiot style album followed by maybe a Foxboro Hot Tubs style album under the Green Day banner. So yeah, I've got this figured out through Album 19 or so.1 point

Boulevard of Broken Dreams and Holiday also on US Spotify now as separate singles with their original artwork.1 point

Is it just me or does it seem like people complain no matter what they do? Lol. Everyone's allowed to have opinions and that's totally fine, but I think we should be more grateful they're doing something as cool as performing their two most popular albums in full. I'm so excited to see it! I'm also just glad they're touring in general, and from what I can tell, seem to be happy and healthy1 point

It was, but there’s nothing to be done about that. They’re still doing two hour sets. It seems like another no win situation for them. When they do a lot of fan interaction, people complain it slows the show down and they don’t have time for as many tracks when Knowledge, HAR and KFAD take forever for instance. Then they remove them, cram 37 songs into a setlist, playing two albums in full, and people say they’re rushing through the set and there’s no fan participation. Well do you want to hear a lot of songs or do you want more people pulled on stage, Billie lying on the stage ranting and singing covers and ten minutes of Hey-Oh’s Bugs Bunny style? Maybe you want the t-shirt cannon back?1 point

I Iove this band to death. I've seen them so many times and have been listening to Green Day for 20 years now. I was at their show yesterday and will see them several more times over the next days and weeks, simply because I love this band. But honestly, the live shows have gotten worse, shorter, and less interactive since the 21st Century Breakdown tour. It feels like the band is rushing through the set. They are getting older, and I understand that, but that's just my opinion. The 21st Century Breakdown tour was the pinnacle of their live performance.1 point

Jeff Matika only used to play on St Jimmy didnt he? Or was he doing more just behind the amps? Jason White does an incredible job and he doesn't like the spotlight so is the perfect guy to do what he does.1 point

You won’t look like a dumbass if you go alone. Most people won’t even notice, and if they do they’ll either not care or they’ll strike up a chat with you. I go to shows alone all the time and haven’t had a single bad experience with it. Yes it can be boring while waiting and may FEEL a little awkard but then you can just talk to the people next to you about the band or call a friend to make the time pass.1 point

France and French Switzerland are definitely the last places I'd recommend to an American seeing Green Day in Europe for the first time, but if you're young(ish) and/or fit, you'll probably be alright. Getting in was a fucking nightmare in 2017, but once I was inside, I enjoyed the show even though I got bruised ribs. I'd go back if I was absolutely desperate to see a show and it was the only one I could get to. Paris is also a beautiful city with cheap flights to the rest of Europe and North Africa, so there's that. Anyway, whichever show you go to, no-one is going to think you're an idiot because you're alone, so don't worry about that. Loads of people do it and you'll meet someone decent in the queue even if you can't find anyone online.1 point
