They have gotten shorter, but I wouldn't necessarily say worse though. I was at the Lyon show and when I first read some where that they had played 37 songs I was like "no way! Their show in Venezuela (2010 or 2011 I think) lasted way longer than this and they didn't play that many songs then!" For me it's still hard to believe that they played 37 songs, even after counting them myself. But they did. I got to hear American Idiot in full (literally a dream come true), I had been to 5 Green Day concerts before (1 from the AI tour, 3 from the 21stBD tour and Bataclan last year), and yet at this show I got to hear 15 songs live that I had never heard live before. For me that is pretty monumental. If they have to sacrifice a bunch of hey-ohs and the whole King for a Day act (or whatever else they were doing during the previous tours), in order to be able to deliver that, I'm cool with it. As you say, they are getting older, we cannot expect them to keep the same pace they had 15 - 20 years ago, and of all the things they could sacrifice in order to be able to keep on delivering a good show, I personally feel they sacrificed the right ones.5 points

Sorry guys, I did record the show with a screen recorder, but the whole picture turned out black. It worked fine when I tested it earlier on that channel though. I guess they added something to block the video during the show (is that possible?), I can’t explain it otherwise… The show was fantastic, boys sounded amazing, such a bummer. Did someone else try it?5 points

Is it just me or does it seem like people complain no matter what they do? Lol. Everyone's allowed to have opinions and that's totally fine, but I think we should be more grateful they're doing something as cool as performing their two most popular albums in full. I'm so excited to see it! I'm also just glad they're touring in general, and from what I can tell, seem to be happy and healthy5 points

It was, but there’s nothing to be done about that. They’re still doing two hour sets. It seems like another no win situation for them. When they do a lot of fan interaction, people complain it slows the show down and they don’t have time for as many tracks when Knowledge, HAR and KFAD take forever for instance. Then they remove them, cram 37 songs into a setlist, playing two albums in full, and people say they’re rushing through the set and there’s no fan participation. Well do you want to hear a lot of songs or do you want more people pulled on stage, Billie lying on the stage ranting and singing covers and ten minutes of Hey-Oh’s Bugs Bunny style? Maybe you want the t-shirt cannon back?5 points

In the meantime I converted the video file to a MP3 (320 kbps, since the original audio is 384 kbps and FLAC would make pretty much no sense). It's unsplit. https://mega.nz/folder/CxZy0YjY#q3VTfrVNnv6icPezkTEe-A The video will be in the same folder (currently at 50%)4 points

The 20GB version from Guitars101 is stereo, that's what I can say upfront4 points

Someone will get it off of Dime, don't worry. Are you in a rush with the show? I really don't wanna seem pissy to you, but the show will surface in the next hours. Some Green Day shows were held back from the public for years or decades and some are still to surface. The recording is not going anywhere and will never be seen - several people recorded it. Just be a little patient. I downloaded the VK video and I'm uploading it to MEGA right now. EDIT: and I'm gonna download and re-upload the 20GB version from Guitars101 as well, since I have access to my brother's rapidgator premium account4 points

Complety agree! 35-36 songs (including JOS and homecming, two complete album played, and not only de "hits") IS much better than crowd "singers" destroyng masterpices and lot of heee ohhhs.3 points

I Iove this band to death. I've seen them so many times and have been listening to Green Day for 20 years now. I was at their show yesterday and will see them several more times over the next days and weeks, simply because I love this band. But honestly, the live shows have gotten worse, shorter, and less interactive since the 21st Century Breakdown tour. It feels like the band is rushing through the set. They are getting older, and I understand that, but that's just my opinion. The 21st Century Breakdown tour was the pinnacle of their live performance.3 points

Tbh this tour is far better than Hella Mega and I‘m totally happy with it. They‘re doing a lot Fan interactions and playinf over 30 Songs for about 2.5 hours which is great. the only thing I‘m „disappointed“ is they disn‘t play Dookie in full because they went 10 min too late on stage and finished at 1am like it was planned. Sad we didn‘t get dookie/AI in full as Pro Shots. But the show was great and I‘m completely tired after 12 hours at the stage2 points

Absolutely top tier. Arguably their best pro shot since reading 20132 points

I can only speak for the Lyon show so far, but the crowd was pretty amazing! Not too tough, but definitely very into the show, singing along to every single song, jumping when Billie asked them too, turning on their phone's flash lights when asked, doing the hey-ohs, etc. That said, this is my first concert of this size in Europe, so I don't have a lot to compare to, and I was in the front row, meaning that anyone near to me had queued for hours or paid for VIP, both signaling a high level of commitment. The other thing that I found interesting and loved about the crowd was the wide range of ages, I'm in my 30s, and yet I saw people at least 15 years younger than me as well as people 15 - 20 years older and more. It really says something about the band that they have managed to keep older fans engaged for decades, while still appealing to younger audiences.1 point

From Billie's Instagram story If anyone who doesn't have Instagram would like me to upload Kevin Preston or Coley O'Toole's posts I can but it's quite fiddly and around 15-20 more photos so I will do it if someone wants to see them but if not I'll just leave it1 point

He played extra guitar or did extra backing vocals on most songs, Kevin does the same job now. Jason W is the second guitarist so does more including often doing lead guitar, Jeff/Kevin is mostly just to beef up the sound more. Agree on Jason, love him! In Aaron Cometbus' "In China With Green Day", his account of going along on the Asia leg of the 21st CB tour, he talks about the Jasons and Jeff and mentions Jeff was added to add extra guitar and vocals to make their live sound even bigger. He also mentions that Kevin Preston (Prima Donna was the support band) had been in the running for the job but was judged to not be able to sing quite high enough. I guess in the end they decided his singing was good enough1 point

for the 25th nimrod, they announced the first teaser and whatnot in october aka the anniversary, then promoted for the next 3 months. could've been a placeholder for the delay of saviors 🤷♀️but something to go off which i hope isn't the case this time for the 30th dookie, they announced the first teaser in august so they had one month and wasn't even near the anniversary. so i assume they wanted to get it out of the way at the time which was basically the consensus so for the 20th AI, considering there is nothing in the way besides them being on tour i'm sure they can release it on time for the actual anniversary? the question is will it take 1 month or 3 months, or some third option1 point

Listening to Jesse Malin’s The Art of Self Destruction from 2003 and notice there’s a song on there called Cigarettes and Violets. Can’t help but think about C&V which would have been happening around the same time (2002). It’s interesting. Who inspired who?1 point

Them calling it a "tribute album" really makes it sound like he's died considering he has serious medical issues, relieved to see he hasn't. But it's a nice idea and looking forward to hearing Billie's song.1 point

again they played only 1 song from the new album. and no song released after 2009 lol1 point

I don't know if it's been shared in the last 1-2 days here and please feel free to move it to the necessary section on the forum but I just don't want anyone to miss this 11 min newly surfaced footage. This is the Green Day I fell in love at first sight. What an amazing video.1 point

As a longtime Taylor fan, Billie going to the Eras Tour is possibly the hottest thing he’s ever done in my eyes. I can’t even tell you how happy this makes me.1 point
