  1. On this day 11 years ago (24 May 2013), Green Day played in Milan, Italy on the 99 Revolutions Tour. More photos: 22 years ago (2002), they played in Holmdel, NJ on the Pop Disaster Tour. 26 years ago (1998), they played the KPNT 105.7 Pointfest 9 in Maryland Heights, MO. More bits from this show: And 32 years ago, they played McGregor's in Elmhurst, IL on the Kerplunk Tour. Tre wore a dress and wig, and there was a fanzine interview featuring a very high Mike in a wild outfit. More pics:

  4. On this day 6 years ago (23 May 2018), The Longshot played a second night at Coney Island Baby in NYC. 17 years ago (not above admitting I used a calculator), Green Day played Working Class Hero on the 2007 American Idol finale. 22 years ago (2002), they played in Hershey, PA on the Pop Disaster Tour. 26 years ago (1998), they played the 93X Fest in Somerset, WI on the Nimrod Tour. 30 years ago (1994), they played in Essen, Germany on the Dookie Tour. And 32 years ago (1992), they played the Hot Spot Roller Rink in Janesville, WI on the Kerplunk Tour. I have learned the names of several more random American cities. Will I remember them? Possibly, since it's completely useless information.

  6. Agreed. Oakland Coffee was generic enough for anyone to try it. My sister bought it without even knowing it was connected to Green Day. What random 60 year old guy is going to try something called Punk Bunny coffee?

  9. Pulled out the ole "wait between green day albums" file and there's some other studies in this file as well. There's the "latest promotion for albums after their release" portion. Nimrod had the longest promotion, with the last video coming 1 year, 5 months and 9 days after the album release. If we use that as the absolute farthest out that they will promote an album, Saviors could get a single as far out as June, 28th 2025. Of course the more recent albums haven't been promoted that far out, but there were always some BS happening that kind of messed up their plans so maybe a single and video during the tour is possible.

  10. But why wouldn't the song be from pre-American Idiot? It' was already on the track list to the American Idiot B-sides disc John Roecker posted. So it was obviously supposed to be mastered just like songs such as Lights Out and Shoplifter -- which obviously are very real.

  11. I hate to tell you this but OG Gen X punks are in the late 50’s now and will be turning 60 next year. We still aspire to be edgy and this brand is an aspirational concept for people who want to feel like they’re living the rock and roll lifestyle whatever that means. “Drink the coffee the band drinks on the road” is aspirational. Younger people can’t afford this coffee if anything it’s targeting an older demographic Millennial and Gen X Compare that to Oakland Coffee which wasn’t aspirational. Do people aspire to live in Oakland? Is Oakland known for its coffee? No and no. It’s like selling Cleveland coffee or Detroit coffee. Local appeal only.

  12. Yeah and it's lame because GD fans know it's called the drunk bunny not the punk bunny. And it's known for being covered in filth and dancing while intoxicated so not sure why they wanna associate it with a fresh cup of coffee . Must've got some marketing advice to rebrand I guess but it's pretty gimmicky and Oakland Coffee sounded much classier/more legitimate. But I don't even drink coffee so I'll be ignoring it.

  13. Oakland Coffee sounded so much better than Punk Bunny Coffee. Even Pink Bunny Coffee would've sounded better. I guess they couldn't justify using their coffee company as a Green Day merch store without basically rebranding as "Green Day Coffee" though

  15. Bumping this up because I was wondering about a trailer. If they release this to coincide with the release of the album it would come out at the end of the Saviors tour. I think it was in the summer near the end of the RevRad tour that they showed the Turn It Around East Bay punk doc trailer on the screens before shows. It would be great if they had a trailer for this new doc and showed it all summer on tour.
