  2. I recently realized that Billie Joe has restricted my Instagram profile! I can comment on any of his posts, but only I can see my comment (it is hidden from everyone else), and and I can't tag him anywhere anymore 😕 . I swear I have never commented inappropriately and I have never disturbed him in private, except for responding to some stories, always in a friendly and respectful manner! Has anyone else noticed being in the same situation? I only realized it yesterday (a friend couldn't see my comment, so I did some tests). After researching, I found out that this happens when a user restricts a profile.

  3. Two things: if you haven’t seen all the videos from that GM performance, you need to see this and also, Billie wrote some wild stuff as The Rev, I love it! 😂❤️

  4. This will always be very wild to me. The fact that Billie Joe went to sing these ridiculous lyrics to Avicii's song in 2014 is just so random. I don't know why Avicii never finished this track and how did Billie Joe exactly get involved, but maybe some day we'll find out.

  5. I very rarely buy band stuff these days, but couldn't resist these photos from the Brixton and Milton Keynes shows on the American Idiot Tour. I'm a photography nerd (and Green Day photo nerd) despite my claims that doing photography for a living has made me hate it. Glad to support other British photographers too. Oh, and of course I printed some of my own photos for myself when I did the giveaway.

  9. But why wouldn't the song be from pre-American Idiot? It' was already on the track list to the American Idiot B-sides disc John Roecker posted. So it was obviously supposed to be mastered just like songs such as Lights Out and Shoplifter -- which obviously are very real.

  12. I hate to tell you this but OG Gen X punks are in the late 50’s now and will be turning 60 next year. We still aspire to be edgy and this brand is an aspirational concept for people who want to feel like they’re living the rock and roll lifestyle whatever that means. “Drink the coffee the band drinks on the road” is aspirational. Younger people can’t afford this coffee if anything it’s targeting an older demographic Millennial and Gen X Compare that to Oakland Coffee which wasn’t aspirational. Do people aspire to live in Oakland? Is Oakland known for its coffee? No and no. It’s like selling Cleveland coffee or Detroit coffee. Local appeal only.

  14. I was looking back at some Hella Mega pictures the other day and was even a bit shocked how different and kind of "well" Billie looks now compared and I don't think I thought anything was different whilst Hella Mega was actually happening! If I did I've forgotten

  15. Much more excited for open vault from the past than for new stuff... I would LOVE a live versión of surrender/bastards of Young from that tour

  18. I feel they are both the same album cigarettes and valentines and american idiot, it's just that it turned into american idiot because they wrote better stuff that overtook the stuff they already had. as billie went to go to new york for a bit during 2003, maybe he was taking a break from working on that album and then when they came back to work on it again they have a better cooler idea than c&v

  19. The interview that Mike did before the American idiot album title was released he talked about how they had all these songs but they felt it wasn't what they wanted to put out and the newer songs were much better. Maybe someone deleted them on purpose. Also we've heard tracks from cig and valentines like shoplifter and lights out. I always though governator was the catalyst for the first network album

  20. Hmm, I think the biggest thing I'm curious about is that when was Cigarettes and Valentines (the song) exactly written. I'm talking about the one that was performed in 2010 couple times and then never played nor referenced again. If that songs studio version isn't included in AI's anniversary edition, that supports my theory that the supposed Cigarettes and Valentines we've heard wasn't written until 21st Century Breakdown era. Songs existence overall is just extremely weird considering they haven't played any other songs from that album (or atleast haven't admitted X song is from C&V) and it seemed like its entire purpose was to be some extra track for Awesome as Fuck CD release. Hell, even the track itself isn't live from one show like the others. If we get studio version of that song with same lyrics and shit, then I'm even more confused about it. Why on earth would they then play it few times in 2010 and then just abandon it? Whole timeline just doesn't make any goddamn sense.

  21. Man do I love anniversary editions. You get shit like a '93 version of Christie Road.. in a fuckin studio!

  22. Reddit took off... I'm so glad that people can come together over a simple idea.. Green Day would kick ASS as a childrens book. Your idea was perfect also, to do a book on each era and show the friendship. This is gonna be a lot of research and I feel so lost. But as a HUGE Green Day fan since 9 years old with nothing but time and YouTube videos of the boys I think I got this, hopefully...
