Happy to see Fancy Sauce was played. Really hope they keep this song for the big tour. I read comments pointing out that Billie was motioning for Tre to repeat the last part of the song, he seems to love playing it too. Or maybe he just was just not ready to stop playing in general just yet…either way I love his passion 💕 my wishlist for Saviors songs for the tour (limiting myself to 5 but would be happy for more): Dilemma, Fancy Sauce, 1981, Suzie Chapsticks and Goodnight Adeline5 points

It's still one of the best things Billie has ever done. When you hear songs all the time you're not necessarily listening to the lyrics, but every time I actually pay attention to "I searched the winter for the bride of Frankenstein" it hits me in the gut. The whole album is just SO GOOD, but that lyric is one of the most poignant and beautiful portrayals, ever, of two people who can't be together. I'm so glad I got it tattooed.4 points

I would be happy that Fancy Sauce gets played at all during the big tour, it is a great closer but I’d take it anywhere on the setlist.3 points

Rare full recording from 2001 of The Frustrators (Mike’s side project) from Arica’s birthday party: Video post for Friday, April 19- link below Frustrators- The Minnow, Alameda Ca 9/22/01 xfer from 1st gen VHS tape w/ Green Day's Mike Dirnt It's Friday- video time! As promised, here is 1 this weekend from Arica Pelino's magic suitcase. Like I said last week, I wish I could have hung out with Arica and attended her birthday show. What a lineup. Enemies/Frustrators/Dickies. For those unaware of The Frustrators, they were a band in the early 2000's with Mike Dirnt (from Green Day), Jason Chandler (Plus Ones), Terry Linehan and Art Tedeschi. They put out an album and 2 EPs on Adeline Records. There's not much available in terms of live footage from this band- some interviews and a short/likely incomplete 12min video. This seems to be the only full length show out there. Yeah this looks like what could possibly be their tour setlist this summer, dookie, some saviors, ai I could imagine they could switch some songs from show to show, and according to setlistfm it was a 2h10min show, so still 10minutes they could play longer for the european festivals Please keep fancy sauce as closing song And i know dookie and ai in full is epic, but i hope the next tour will have some more love for songs they rarely play live (trilogy songs pleeeeease)2 points

As requested by @GreenDayJunkie86here's some pics I've picked out from the show at the Echoplex. I think this is a really nice action shot of Kevin and theres something about this pic of Billie I like (can't put my finger on it but I think it's cool) Billie making faces Smiley action Billie and this one looks like Jason is sticking a long tongue out It's a cool pic Are there some others you'd like me to add @GreenDayJunkie86? If you like you can click on the images you like and say "copy" and then you can paste the link into the thread There were so many cool pics I couldn't decide1 point

I think they were $40-60 from what I heard. London was quite a bit more (around £90 if I remember right) Pics from the show from Alice Baxley1 point

Went to Record Store Day and got Jesse Malin's The Heat album. 20th anniversary edition that includes a 45, download card and on translucent green day vinyl. The back it looks a whole lot like No Fun Monday's back cover, which is cool. And it's Green Day related because it was made in New York when Billie was hanging out with Ryan Adams and Jesse during the early recording days of American Idiot - workshopping songs together. Billie isn't credited on The Heat, but some of his influence without a doubt went into some of Ryan Adam's guitar and production work. Also, how do you say Malin? MAY-LEN or MA-LEN?1 point

Letterbomb is awesome live! The screams left goosebumps. Anyone who tried to go to the past few small venue shows know the average price for the show?1 point

I just listened to that whole album 4-5 days ago! I don’t collect many vinyl records, but I think I’d want this on vinyl over most Green Day records. The sound just has that vinyl feel.1 point

Some fun facts from the video: Apparently no one in the band knew that guy that stood on stage and kept singing into Billie’s mic, but he did that at many of their shows there (sometimes standing right in front of Billie) and may have been their first obsessed uber-fan. the dead bird story is true and was left addressed to him on the doorstep of 1640 (the warehouse). Already then the band were getting shit from jealous punks that didn’t like their growing popularity. This was even two years before they committed the sin of signing to a major.1 point
