Those were some of the best times I remember keeping up with the tour thread here on GDC every night and watching Billie get back into his groove with each show. It was so sweet how nervous he was during the US leg. I always resonate the Trilogy era with those happy times.
from my show during Oh Love
Holy shit has it been 11 years? I think my 99 Revs show anniversary was last month - we were the kick off show for the tour It was my first ever Green Day show and I was just in awe of everything. That show has so many good memories, but mainly I remember the joy and relief on Billie's face that he was back, we were all together, and ready to rock out.
My 99 Revolutions Tour show was 11 years ago today. I’ll always cherish being able to hear Brutal Love, Stay the Night, X-Kid and a handful of other Trilogy songs live.

Some of these pics all look quite the same but pretty sure I've not posted them yet!

From where I live you couldn't see it 😒. It apparently happened somewhere around noon, but I couldn't see it. Anyone that lives in Texas see it? It was a bit cloudy for me.
@Montclare I agree! Also when people talk about the Earth being flat I immediately sing Flat Earth.
Less relevant to the thread, but moving long established sports teams to entirely different cities or even states for financial gain is the most US thing ever.
Europeans and South Americans would burn down the entire city before they allowed their teams to move.
Dude this thread is too soon to start brewing, also there is no relevant or leak information of the band regarding new music so there's no point for this. Chill out, enjoy saviors, it's amazing and the tour is gonna be one of the best ever.
I just played my Saviors record for the first time tonight. I have the hot pink and black one and it sounds really good. I started it on Suzie Chapstick and then flipped it over and listened to side A. Because who needs a Corvette Summer or a Coma City? Haha. No, I like those. I just didn't wanna hear them tonight. The order I listened had a good flow.
Man, The Offspring was my second favorite band when I was a teenager. I still like this band. It would be so cool that Green Day and The Offspring do something together. I was so glad when I watched photos of Tré with Noodles and Dexter Holland!! Back in the 90s/2000s there was a rumor that both bands didn't get along well, but now it is wonderful to watch this good mood and respect vibe they have.
With every single album of the last decades, Green Day did something else than the fans expected. So it doesn't matter with which concepts we come up, they will be wrong. Let's just enjoy Saviors and be thankful that we got an album like this
No, it’s very wise. I was holding on to it but since you figured it out, here’s the hidden, already made first single!
Also, think of all the players with the #15! Mind, blown.
I think I’ll enjoy it more now that the idea of an album about the A’s has been floated as an actual thing.
And yes, I may get blasted for speculating about this so early but hear me out. The Oakland A’s announced they’re officially leaving Oakland after this season, moving to a temporary home in Sacramento for the 2025-27 seasons before they officially move to Las Vegas in 2028, so that got me thinking. 2028 will most definitely be the year we get Green Day’s Album 15!!! I know Billie is most likely devastated about losing the A’s so could Album 15 be a tribute to them? What if the album is called “Rooted in Oakland”?
