  2. What happened to the good old days of the Green Day idiot club? I wish these shows would give more priority to the hardcore fans

  3. According to Billboard, Saviors sold over 100,000 units so far. Do we know if that's just US or worldwide? If it's just US I'd say that this is quite impressive 🧐 https://www.billboard.com/music/chart-beat/green-day-dilemma-tops-rock-alternative-airplay-chart-1235645180/amp/

  4. Yeah plus I guess it wouldn't work so well with Green Day since the amount of people could get crazy. Shame there's not at least a fanclub type thing like @nflsbest26 suggested though. Come to think of it when GD played at Shepherds Bush in 2012 and Brixton Academy in 2013 (a bit bigger at 2000/5000 capacity but still small) they did tickets via the still existing Idiot Club and I got some no problem along with a ton of GDCers. Hopefully some managed to get them!

  6. I preferred when you just had to turn up on the day and queue for a ticket! I guess they'll never do that now that everything is online and venues are less likely to tolerate it but it was really the best way to ensure no scalpers and people who really want to go getting in. They did all the old Foxboro shows that way.

  9. Yes but that’s ok if it’s near you, it feels risky to travel hundreds of miles in the hope of getting. Wish there was a simple solution.

  10. I must see it, Billie giving a speech is always adorable and sounds like an awesome message I think the extra big hair makes him look smaller haha

  11. Just watched Billie’s appearance he was so cute. He’s on at about an hour in and gave a brief speech first about the importance of visibility and voting. He did that awkward act he does when he’s reading lines on a prompter at an award show just like when he did the Tonys for the musical, like “okay, this is good, we got this” kind of thing. 😄 Worth a watch Also, is he getting smaller? He’s so thin now with such a narrow frame he looked really tiny up there

  12. Wrong thread but good god, his eyes! Thanks @pacejunkie punk.

  13. I think it's way better than expected 😄 maybe if they play the songs regularely on tour and get nominated for a Grammy they can reach the 500,000 for gold one day.

  14. I'm sure that's about US. If it was worldwide, it probably would've mentioned it. Since Billboard is US based, I think it's safe to assume any figures are about US specifically unless stated otherwise. If that's just talking about album copies, then that's probably pretty good by 2024 rock standards. Most rock albums get most of their album sales in the first week or two, so doubling that seems pretty good If it's including total album sales + streaming equivalent units, then I don't think that's that good at all If it's including first week album sales + streaming equivalent units, then that's probably ok I could be completely wrong. I'm not an expert. But it doesn't seem particularly impressive to me. The album's tracks are up to a combined 75 million streams on spotify now, idk how good that number is at this point. For comparison, FOAM is at 145.7 million. Since FOAM has had 4 years to accumulate streams, you could assume that Saviors is doing better since it's only been a couple months but Saviors released to a bigger streaming market in 2024 and has more tracks so it's hard to know. The tracks on Saviors will also continue to get less daily streams as time goes on so it's hard to tell when Saviors will surpass FOAMF or if it ever does. I don't see Saviors ever surpassing RevRad which is at 422.4 million streams at this point and is still gaining streams at a decent pace thanks to its singles Still Breathing, Bang Bang and the title track

  15. I wonder if they’re agonizing over which Saviors songs to play on tour. Typically it’s obvious which songs work better live but I swear nearly every song sounded like it was worth making the set.

  17. First time listening to the show. I'm in love with this band again

  18. The last paragraph probably means 1234Go will be giving away a pair of tickets to the show so might be worth keeping an eye on their socials (they often give away a pair of tickets to local shows)

  27. Bumping this thread as this will be happening soon. Is someone able to capture it for those of us outside the US? I see the boys are up against Blink 182, the Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy and Paramore for Alternative Artist of the Year. Hoping as they're performing they could be in with a chance of winning?
