  2. Ughh dammit. Who’s in front of them on the mainstream rock charts? I hope it doesn’t start going down now. This deserves to be #1.

  3. 2012 was a different era for him. Any other year he is very nice. Finn needs more evidence than that one year 🙄. He is very caring for his fans from what I've seen.

  4. If we got a proper video for One Eyed Bastard, it would be about how Billie Joe is a monster and will beat you to death in an alleyway if you owe him 2 dollars. Haha I'm still processing that I heard Finn Mckenty say Billie Joe isn't a great person to be around and that he doesn't want him at his BBQ. And he used the iHeart freakout as evidence. obviously nobody wants 2012 iHeart Billie at their party. But everyday Billie, sure. I'd grill for Bill. #grillforbill2024

  5. I’m not sure that’s actually Rob Cavallo, it’s likely a fan account

  6. Any updates? Hopefully this hits #1 on mainstream rock charts

  8. New interview with Ryan Baxley on the album art and videos: https://www.wired.cz/clanky/the-american-dream-is-killing-me-interview-with-director-ryan-baxley?fbclid=PAAaaTPBVigUomYaGnMnSl3Oxajn5A-LuZ6LqYSK21szkrsf2AYQjjT1Dtg30_aem_AWU3QjkvwEyMOjEtUo3t1uak_QO209GobwS30tTPCAgZp1HzQAWE0NpBxnV6KjCymjI Good read and I particularly liked this insight: “Each video also serves as a way to represent different aspects of the band. “American Dream” is their more artistic, conceptual side. “Look Ma!” shows them as performers and proper rock stars. On the other side, “Dilemma” is their personal, honest side, and “Bobby Sox” finally shows their love for playing music and their love for their fans. So as a whole, you get a broad picture of who the band is at this time in their lives.”

  10. That would be a good idea, a video made in memory of someone.

  13. Loved watching the full show. The entire set was tight. They sounded so well rehearsed and all the new songs sound great live, but even the AI deep tracks sounded amazing.

  14. Man Coma City sounds amazing live. The big guitar riff in the middle is pure Green Day guitar power.

  15. Any updates? Hoping it goes #1 on mainstream rock.

  16. I would agree with this more than 2026. 2026 is too soon. The album just came out a couple of months ago and we already talking about album 15? 😄.

  17. I skipped to the end to see what was Billie's position. C? I wonder if it's because of the stage antics? Or maybe not. IDFK.

  18. Possible but Green Day are also notorious for recording tons of live footage and not releasing it

  19. I’m sure someone already answered this but it’s Coley O’Toole, he is in We The Kings! I saw him walk out the side of HOB when we were waiting in line and knew it was him but didn’t know why he was there! lol then I saw him on stage 🤯

  21. I swear everyone hated on this song when it was released 😅

  23. Ok, I knew the song 1981 was about just letting loose like it’s 1981 and I can think of a million reasons why 1981 would be awesome for everyone but then thought of Billie and/or Green Day specifically. If this has been said already I apologize. No time to read all threads now a days. I can think of several but politically 1981 was the year before Reaganism. Personally to him, it was the end of his actual youth as his father died, probably along with a big part of him in September of 1982 (making 1981 his last care free year at the young age of 10.) He also met Mike the following year in 1982 and 1981, August 1st was also the year that MTV launched, eventually a foreshadow to their massive fame which Billie seems to enjoy). Just some random thoughts today. “She’s gonna bang her head like it’s 1981”. Get it. BTW, this was the first song MTV aired on that day. Very appropriate. And made in 1979…

  24. Hoarding is a strong word. She’s not a collector, these are her personal memories. It’s really generous of her to want to share everything now, she by no means had to. It’s been in storage for years and took a long time to go through and digitize.

  25. Saviors doesn’t feel like a good opener to me, at least on the record. TADIKM fits better and introduces the themes of the record well. It’s also a better song imo.

  26. It’s so cool to see them out of their comfort zones performing so many songs that aren’t fully ingrained in their muscle memory yet! Mistakes and all! Mike particularly looked like he was having fun playing the new stuff. Looked like a great show and I’m hyped for the tour! I wouldn’t mind a club show in Chicago either 👀.

  27. Yeah I mean, they're Green Day, so I really do believe they're big enough to have final say in their tracklisting. It's just a shame that the streaming game being what it is could prevent having a perfect opener like Somewhere Now on an album again. As it stands though, I do really like American Dream as the opener, and think it probably is a better one than the title track. Just interesting they chose to change the order live.

  28. They may have thought having American Idiot/American Dream back to back sounded too similar, but then that begs the question of why open with American Idiot. As for the front loaded singles, I don't think that's Crush, I think that's the reality of streaming and the way these songs get uploaded and played now. They may have had to bend to that, but otherwise might have preferred Saviors as an opener, it just wasn't a single as past title tracks have been.

  29. Dammit ok mainstream rock seems like the only chart this can get #1 request it to your radio stations

  30. Unfortunately it does not matter how much all of us in the community will listen to it. Much more people from all genres should care to listen to it if we want to secure its further success. You might remember the person in Reddit who streamed "Fancy Sauce" more than 1000 times in only two weeks, yet it is still the least streamed song on that album besides "Father To A Son". Unless each one of us reaches impossible streaming statistics, it is unlikeable it will rise higher if not many, many, many people with other music preferences choose to stream it numerous times.

  33. I think a suzie chapstick video based around teen suicide could work let's say the beginning you have a teen sitting in their room at a desk texting out a suicide letter to a friend shadow of a gun appears loud bang phone zooms in on the cracked screen with the word sent cue a black and white Clip of Billie strumming the opening riff and the rest of the video could show the aftermath of what happens when a person commits suicide how it affects the family, friends, community, etc towards the end show a high school year book rapidly turning until the final page paused on a silhouette of a picture profile with In loving memory of ? Sending a universal message this could be anybody no matter the race religion gender

  34. Just watched the Louder Than Life show from last year and realised that Billie did a tiny little tease of The American Dream Is Killing Me between St Jimmy and WICA, just before the Ziggy Stardust tease. That was from before we knew anything about TADIKM
