  2. Video of Billie on stage filming with a phone and licking it on his instastories Update: It was a fan's phone lmao! Billie posted the same clip with Fancy Sauce over it but this is the original video https://www.instagram.com/reel/C41lprstPBv/?igsh=MWt6dGg4NmMwdmVqZQ==

  4. I decided to rearrange the track listing of the album in a way I think works best, mostly because I was bored. I think American Dream could’ve worked as a good intro to the topics that Living in the 20’s talks about. Also, Strange Days could’ve been good to have more towards the end because it kind of suggests that the topics the album brought up previously are indeed here to stay. Goodnight Adeline leads into Fancy Sauce pretty well and having a song with “goodnight” in its title is great to have in the very final tracks. Anyway, here it is: Saviors Look Ma, No Brains! Dilemma One Eyed Bastard The American Dream Is Killing Me Living in the ‘20s Bobby Sox Suzie Chapstick Corvette Summer Coma City 1981 Father to a Son Strange Days Are Here to Stay Goodnight Adeline Fancy Sauce How would you guys arrange the tracks differently, if at all?

  5. Thanks to Arica Pelino for her footage and Shayne Stacy for digitizing this classic material. See the caption in the video for more info. This is just a teaser. Arica gave Shayne hours and hours of videotapes of East Bay bands including lots of never before seen Green Day material from her personal collection. With permission she is now sharing her stuff with fans for the first time! I’m starting this thread and will add to it as more stuff gets uploaded. In the meantime enjoy this small backstage clip from the Phoenix Theatre in 1991 and subscribe to Shayne’s channel.

  10. 1981 would probably fit FOAMF to me but idk. It also reminds me of Monkey Wrench by the Foo Fighters, a comparison discussed multiple times here.

  16. I love the way he sings 21 Guns on AAF, it’s their song, he can sing it how he wants.

  17. She has audio recordings too, including an early test pressing of Kerplunk and possibly some versions of the songs recorded on the first day that didn’t make the album, including Christie Road with the original lyrics (they re-recorded everything the second day)

  18. It’s not just live footage as well that’ll be shared, there’s some Kerplunk related things that will also see the light of day

  19. some backstory: Jean Repetto (from what I've gathered, now known as Jeana Repetto) was fifteen (https://www.discogs.com/artist/689398-Fifteen) drummer in 1989 and later, guitarist during their reunion in 1997 (She appears on Lucky https://www.discogs.com/master/413748-Fifteen-Lucky). I'm pretty sure that she lived/lives in the bay area and did some classical/jazz stuff too in the early 2000s. And she was also from East Bay Mud (https://www.discogs.com/artist/414855-East-Bay-Mud) Back to the song... I really never heard this version and the title says "portastudio 424",a 4-track recorder, perhaps the same billie used for the demos? Please help me! And let me know if I found something new, maybe? Thanks Also I've never seen neither this photo nor billie with a brush cut lol

  20. Your album name idea sounds like "Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored Water" by Limp Bizkit and "Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" by Bowie because all of them have "and the" and are funny (imo).

  21. Thanks! Hope you have fun as well! I actually also considered Glasgow for a while before I landed on this one.

  24. Thank you for this. Rather than changing the order of songs, I would take Corvette Summer, Bobby Sox and 1981 out as they are too repetitive and the weakest songs on the album for me (after many listens). The album flows nicely without these songs. I just wish there was a tight/fast album opener like American Idiot(song) or Bang Bang, before TADIKM on the album. That would be so much nicer. I think that's what's missing but everyones opinion may differ of course.

  25. I see. Off course you have to follow the school year. Hope you'll have fun in Dublin. I'm going to Paris, Manchester and London. I had tickets to Glasgow as well, but ended up selling them because of other concerts and how pricey everything is in pounds. 🙈

  27. Thanx a lot!!! Do we have a Green Day full concert video that I miss or not yet?
    1 point
  28. I think it's fine, it's just a particularly high song by Green Day standards. I think it's cool that they'll go ahead and record a song that goes that high for the album even if they know it might not be easy to recreate live rather than limiting the song on the album. It sounds great that way really going to the limit of Billie's vocal range instead of just staying in safer range. The same was said about his slightly dodgy live falsetto with 21st CB but that was also worth it to have it on the album.

  29. This is so exciting!!!! This will be really cool to see, especially as we get into discussing Kerplunk on Green Dudes soon.

  30. Saviors as an opener would be the same as when they opened with 99 Revolutions

  31. I'm glad she found someone trustworthy to share and digitalize her tapes. We are on a treat people. Maybe, just maybe, there is a No One Knows performance among those

  32. Saviors doesn’t feel like a good opener to me, at least on the record. TADIKM fits better and introduces the themes of the record well. It’s also a better song imo.

  33. I'm wondering if they're making a video or something of Father to A Son, notice how the cameraguy is up in their faces during the entire song 👀

  34. Pretty sure they won't be playing it anyway with doing all of Dookie and AI

  38. Just watched the Louder Than Life show from last year and realised that Billie did a tiny little tease of The American Dream Is Killing Me between St Jimmy and WICA, just before the Ziggy Stardust tease. That was from before we knew anything about TADIKM

  39. Billie chokes at 1:40 of Whatshername. Damn, it's still his emotionally weak spot song after all these years. I completely get that. And as much as it's painful and hard to let go of past, it's on the other hand so raw, romantic and beautiful to hold on to these painful memories which, in the end, made us who we are today.
