I'm not sure I like the suit pants on Billie but not sure if that because we're not used to seeing him wear them? As requested by @GreenDayJunkie86 a very cute smile7 points

Loving all the videos, what an amazing show! My singing range is very similar to Billie's so I totally understand with Goodbye Adeline lol. I think it's cool that he will push his voice to its upper limit in the studio even if he can't quite reach it live.6 points

How amazing that the did all of Saviors! i really wished they did that with every new albums. I understand that for the tour, it wouldn’t make sense to play a new album in full, considering the number of hits they have in the past but having all the songs played live at least once is so great. I also wish they consider bringing the fan club back and giving the members the first chance to buy tickets to these small shows (maybe a couple of hours before general sale or something ). Personally I wouldn’t be able to go to most of these small shows but I think having big fans that actually know and can sing along to the new album can make these intimate shows much more special.6 points

It’s so cool to see them out of their comfort zones performing so many songs that aren’t fully ingrained in their muscle memory yet! Mistakes and all! Mike particularly looked like he was having fun playing the new stuff. Looked like a great show and I’m hyped for the tour! I wouldn’t mind a club show in Chicago either 👀.5 points

Just watched the Louder Than Life show from last year and realised that Billie did a tiny little tease of The American Dream Is Killing Me between St Jimmy and WICA, just before the Ziggy Stardust tease. That was from before we knew anything about TADIKM5 points

I'm wondering if they're making a video or something of Father to A Son, notice how the cameraguy is up in their faces during the entire song 👀4 points

The thing is that it was recorded several times but as production goes on it always end up back in pool. It was demoed in Dookie days. Cavallo liked it but it didn't have a space into the record. Tried again in Nimrod, they went for Good Riddance, probably they tried it for Warning but they chose Macy's Day Parade. The song easily have like 5 versions floating around in their archives. Probably it happened to a lot of songs. Is not easy4 points

Checking in to offer my continued thanks and appreciation to the blonde hair gods. A very real fan girl moment: Watching footage of the Anaheim show and mid-song getting distracted because Billie’s pants were cute.4 points

Aww, I liked the pants! They still fit him nice, just a little wider at the bottom than what he normally wears. They looked comfy.3 points

Not sure about the suit type pants on him, so used to something more fitted but whatever he’s comfortable with. 😍3 points

Billie chokes at 1:40 of Whatshername. Damn, it's still his emotionally weak spot song after all these years. I completely get that. And as much as it's painful and hard to let go of past, it's on the other hand so raw, romantic and beautiful to hold on to these painful memories which, in the end, made us who we are today.3 points

I had never heard of it before and was very confused when Spotify started playing it.3 points

some backstory: Jean Repetto (from what I've gathered, now known as Jeana Repetto) was fifteen (https://www.discogs.com/artist/689398-Fifteen) drummer in 1989 and later, guitarist during their reunion in 1997 (She appears on Lucky https://www.discogs.com/master/413748-Fifteen-Lucky). I'm pretty sure that she lived/lives in the bay area and did some classical/jazz stuff too in the early 2000s. And she was also from East Bay Mud (https://www.discogs.com/artist/414855-East-Bay-Mud) Back to the song... I really never heard this version and the title says "portastudio 424",a 4-track recorder, perhaps the same billie used for the demos? Please help me! And let me know if I found something new, maybe? Thanks Also I've never seen neither this photo nor billie with a brush cut lol2 points

They could possibly play partial songs, because even then, Billie's not gonna be able to Eh Oh like he wants. Maybe just once or twice, lol. 45 songs and 3 hours? 3 eh ohs? Or maybe just 21 Guns and Good Riddance after the two albums. Could be 27 songs plus 10 hits maybe.2 points

Also add all the pre-Green Day names. Blood Rage, Desecrated Youth. They played a song named Merciful Children as Desecrated Youth. And maybe add Billie's solo acoustic Stay from 1988 if you want. I'm pretty sure you included Billie and Mike meeting at a cafeteria once but if you didn't add it.2 points

Billie has to have the cutest smile in the world. 😍. That second picture is my personal favorite. I love the color of Mike's bass. 😍😍😍.2 points

It's quite a popular brand, it's called "Liquid Death". Name is a bit gimmicky to make drinking water cool but the reason for the can is it's recyclable metal instead of plastic so it's good for the environment.2 points

He kept singing and being involved with music. He would sing at old people's homes etc doing show tunes and stuff, small local performances all through his childhood. I think sometimes through teachers/school and sometimes with his family involved (he's mentioned singing with his dad playing drums, he was a jazz drummer). And took piano lessons and learned guitar. He's also mentioned he was into playing sports while young especially American football.2 points

I think the pants look very nice on him. It might look odd to us at first because we are used to skinny jeans haha. He should wear those pants more. 😍😍😍. Thank you @Rumpelstiltskin2000!2 points

I vaguely remember reading that. I guess the question then is - did American Dream knock Saviors off the opening spot because it was a better opener? Or a better single? Playing it live this way just makes me think the band views the title track as the proper opener.2 points

I'd take out King For A Day anytime to hear a new song or a deep cuts2 points

The captions that they played Saviors in full for the "first time" implies that there will be more shows where they play Saviors in full? 😌2 points

I don't know why but show like this makes me really miss 21st Century Breakdown (the song) played live. It's been 14 fucking years. Hopefully they'll bust it out during one of these shows, it would ft so well to setlist.2 points
-
I hope the band are happy with the way everything sounded and the positive reception it all got. Maybe they’ll add more new songs in the set than they were planning to. I’ll be very sad if on the stadium tour they go back to just two of the singles or something2 points

I'm right there with you, I obviously don't hate Dookie and commercially it makes sense to market the tour with them playing it in full, but I will fully admit that I won't appreciate hearing it in full like a lot of people who will be at these shows. A good chunk of Dookie has always been, and will always be on the setlist, whereas Saviors stuff could disappear after this tour, so I wish we could enjoy all of it now!2 points

When they announced they’d play AI in full on tour, my first thought was that I couldn’t wait to hear Give Me Novacaine live. And now I’m even more hyped because wow, it sounded heavenly last night! Also, Goodnight Adeline, wow. Beautiful. Saviors the song sounds even better live than recorded. I loved Fancy Sauce, too (but I love Fancy Sauce in all ways). Billie sounds so so great. I really hope they leave the majority of open slots in the tour setlist for Saviors songs, because they sound fantastic live.2 points

I think I might have the compilation buried somewhere (or maybe I saw it for sale years ago don't remember) The majority of my GD stuff has been boxed up for the last 13 years (long story) and I don't have a clue what's there anymore2 points

It was posted by Billie on Insta at some point in 2021. I don't know how he found that recording but let's not dig deep as much. Only information: 1983, California Johnny B. Goode was performed Blue didn't have the well-known red "BJ" initials and this is what I call the "Proto-Blue". Proto referring to how it's a prototype to the iconic look.1 point
