  4. Green Day have always made the music they want to make and never tried to chase anyone’s approval, I can’t imagine that changing now and to be fair, it’s worked pretty well for them. I think you always need to be prepared for a curved ball from them, they have a history of it.

  5. Also cute how he puts Bobby Sox on every video! And that wedding ring is cool. Edit: Zoomed in on it and I think it says "80" on it and "1994" (wedding year) on the other side, how sweet

  7. The shift in response to FOAM is pretty standard with GD releases I find. When the new album drops, there are going to be folks who don't like it and suddenly the album they did before seems better by comparison. We saw it happen with the Trilogy and RevRad, so no surprise it's happening with FOAM. I'm glad to see people being more positive about it. It's not their best in anyway, but it's a fun album that's got some bangers on it. I appreciate the ambition even if they did miss the mark. Plus, the FOAM era itself was fun even if it was weird.

  14. Thank you so much for your kind words! For all my covers i use an AKG P420 and a Scarlett Solo as an audio interface. I find a really good option to make music at home, cause the mic have the option to activate and record only what is pointed to a certain direction. For mixing, i like the waves plugins and the valhalla as well. In this particular cover i just used three plugins for mixing: CLA-76, Abbey Road Chamber and ValhallaDelay. And in the master track: NLS Channel and SSLComp for the final glue Its not easy to be satisfied sometimes with the sound, but in the end, we only have the chance to try and try again. Again, thank you for the feedback! This is gonna be a massive year for our boys indeed! Its a really good time to be a green day fan

  16. No way, man. Saviors has generally been well received and the fan base for the most part loves it. FOAMF was critically panned and I'd say a majority of long-term GD fans find it mediocre at best, and many (like myself) think it was - and still is - an abject mess. Why would they risk it at this stage of their careers? Just release another normal GD album. Doesn't need a fucking story or some huge concept, they've done that. Doesn't need to be cringey boomer edgelord garage rock. Another album at the same quality as Saviors and everyone will be happy.

  18. Sorry you're right I got confused and it's January not March. I would imagine start times will be announced nearer the time. Also don't know if the lineup will stay like this or if more bands will be added.

  25. Really like it definitely best cover of the song on YT that I have heard. What do you use to record and mix down? Also the way you played it was true to the original but also seemed to have a jazz pop voicing to it which seemed very original as well. So bravo! The guitar sounds great and when it comes to acoustics I’m a psycho about getting the right sound. It took an entire team at the store to find me the exact right acoustic for the sound I have in my head. It was an expensive one and the team was great but they earned their money that day. I would reconsider the mixing of the backing vocals. I find them to be overpowering to the lead but I would keep the same exact track.

  26. I agree with some of what you say but we didn’t know the world was going to shut down when FOAM was released. I think in the main people were just shocked it was so different.

  28. I think a lot of the initial backlash against FOAM stemmed from: 1. It being the only new music we received for what we knew would be at least 3 to 4 years. 2. The perception that this was the new direction the band was taking. Particularly after RevRad, the shift felt misplaced. Now that we have Saviors, which kind of continues what RevRad was going for, FOAM loses all that bad baggage. It's no longer viewed as the only new material we have, nor does it define the band's sound going forward. And when you consider it as just a collection of 10 songs, it's evident that it wasn't as bad as people initially made it out to be. Now that the dust has settled, I believe fans should give FOAM another chance and appreciate it for what it is: a pretty fun, harmless record.

  31. It's not just the effects shots that look off. Other scenes such as the asylum worker rolling Tre to the drums look oddly washed out and artificially brightened, which makes the film grain that is there way less noticeable. Also, it seems like there's color fringing that wasn't present in the International Supervideos DVD. I don't know if this was due to the original footage being BW, but it's odd nonetheless.

  32. It’s pretty similar but that’s it. It’s not the same melody exactly. Cool find though. I never heard that song before.

  33. Anyone noticed the chorus melody is lifted directly from one of Bruno Mars early song Today My Life Begins?
