This thread made me think of picking up the guitar again, which made me think of checking out the classes where I learned guitar. They have a Green Day ensemble class starting next week. Class is already full, and being taught by my least favorite teacher, but it makes me happy that so many people signed up. 🙂

Funnily enough, I listened to one of agreed Dudes podcasts today and they were talking about the Pitchfork review which had been down on Mike’s bass playing and I remembered reading it when came and thinking “wtf” as did the Green Dudes and seeing this was just stunning. The bass through the whole record is great.

Yeah but he opens with saying Green Day sold 75 million records and released 14 albums - the joke is that the comparison is absurd because Busted are obviously much less successful and prolific than them. Busted are the butt of the joke not Green Day.

I believe it's safe to say Dropout = final part of Brutal Love but slower. As I said here earlier, Cuatro shows a lot of boards and writings for a lot of songs like I'm Alright, Carpe Diem. I can't recall the timeframe but if you slow down Cuatro and pause it repeatedly you can see Brutal Love on a board, and under it is Dropout.

I skipped around this interview a bit (this Eddie gentleman seems very nice but is quite a talker), but I listened to most of the back half and it was a great interview. Billie sounds so happy in general and excited about the tour, and indicated there’s some sort of set change between Dookie and AI? Definitely piqued my interest. He also had some lovely stuff to say about staying in a band for so long and remaining friends/resolving conflict (not “keep the fights clean and the sex dirty” for once ). Really enjoyable listen. Billie is such a friendly interviewee.

Will there be a way to listen to this podcast as, you know, a podcast? I don't have Sirius... Am I old? Does podcast just refer to any audio show of that nature? I thought it had to be an Apple Podcasts thing. I feel like such an out of touch millenial! I don't know what's hip with the youths anymore. So cool he's doing another of these, though! Hey, so I work in live sports television (Bally Sports, specifically, Cleveland Guardians and Cavs) and one of our March Artists of the Month is Green Day! Interestingly enough the song we're allowed to use is Corvette Summer, so basically you'll hear this song used in highlights and stuff during the broadcast. Kind of an odd choice to use for the NBA, but could definitely see this working for MLB/summer. Here's the email I got.
