  1. Well that was amazing! Great show, personally I’d have like more Billie, less Courtney but clearly the crowd were very excited when she appeared. Had a nice chat and selfie with Bill as they were finishing up, lovely guy, told us that they were going down like flies when they cancelled the gig in November, only 2 out of whole team left standing and Billie could barely speak, they felt so bad cancelling. Never dreamed I’d get so close to such gorgeousness, the closer I get, the more amazing he gets! ❤️ . Almost walked smack into Adie as she was leaving, they were right in front of us but disappeared really quickly and then a lux looking people carrier appeared so we assumed that was her. Folk were calling out to her and she was smiling at everyone.

  2. It was a really fun night, echo what someone else said felt super intimate, a little unpolished in a good way and for me I’ll never get to see Billie/Jason up close like that in such a setting so it was deffo worth going. Setlist I think needs a little more refinement over here and Billie kinda acknowledged it a bit at one point saying “we’re gonna play some more contemporary stuff” before blasting into Last Nite. It really was great fun when they played the big songs everyone knew, some of the punk stuff was lesser known amongst the crowd, and was slightly surprised they didn’t cover Oasis or The Rollling Stones. Some nice surprise in the set though, Ever Fallen in Love & Courtney Love joining was great. Do I need to see it again? Probably not, if it was near me I’d deffo go again though and I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to attend tonight.

  3. LOVE IS FOR LOSERS LOVE IS FOR LOSERS LOVE IS FOR LOSERS LOVE IS FOR LOSERS LOVE IS FOR LOSERS LOVE IS FOR LOSERS LOVE IS FOR LOSERS Worth the trek to London and day queuing for that alone! Of course the rest was fabulous too, but Love is for Losers!!!!!!

  4. Did anyone catch the changed lyrics in Love is for Losers? Billie changed the "we all got our delusions / say goodbye to an old flame" lines. Or maybe I imagined it because I haven't slept for 36 hours (worth it). We were so lucky to get Ever Fallen in Love and Walking Out On Love too And I know they play Fox on the Run at every show but it was fantastic.

  6. The floof is so strong in the photos from The Coverups gig! I need a scientific study of why Billie is extra sexy to me when he plays Coverups gigs. He’s just so like…quietly confident without being his typical frontman “character” and it’s wildly attractive to me lol.

  9. I really hope you are feeling better soon and it is such a shame you couldn't make it but I want to thank you and your amazing daughter so much for giving me the ticket as i never thought i would get to any kind of club show for Green Day or a side project, you literally made my year. I had such an amazing time! Hope to see you again some time soon x

  10. THAT WAS AN AMAZING NIGHT!! Billie Billie Billie fucking Joe !
    6 points
  11. I think this is still going to seem surreal for a while but I'm starting to have some coherent thoughts now I've slept. People may already know this from videos but not long after they took the stage, the crowd started chanting "Billie! Billie! Billie fucking Joe!" His reply was "my mom didn't name me that." Everyone but Chris Dugan (at least I think that's who's on the drums?) got their own version of the chant by the end of the night. Including "Courtney! Courtney! Courtney fucking Love!" I've never seen The Coverups in the US but from what I've heard, this crowd went crazier than the American ones. Not saying it was the roughest crowd I've been in (far from it haha), but we all got a bit crushed and very (very) sweaty which was a lot more fun than just having clear air behind us. Of course, no-one goes for it like us Brits do We got to see a totally different side of Billie that I don't think even showed at the Longshot gigs. Aside from a few moments when he struck dramatic poses like the rock star he usually is, he seemed like any other slightly nervous frontman of a random cover band. I started writing this post when I felt awake and now I'm getting tired again. I'll probably think of more stuff later. Or not. What a night tho. I thought the same about Courtney Love but saying it seems blasphemous, so I'm glad I'm not alone At least everyone else seemed to love it though. You are so welcome!!! Couldn't have given the ticket to a better gig buddy I was really surprised that there were Americans and Europeans there who'd been to several/most of the Coverups shows in the US. They know what they're getting though. Actually I think you're right. He'll just have to do a UK Longshot tour to remind himself of the lyrics

  12. The floof was truly amazing last night. Totally agree with @stories and songs Billie was just quietly confident last night, didn’t work the crowd, he was just stunning, looked great, sounded fantastic, smiled a lot, seemed really relaxed and happy. 😍😍

  18. A video might correct me but if I was paying attention right he just forgot the words and did the first verse lines again (feeling like a stranger, stranded in the dark) It was a fantastic show! And hearing a Longshot song live was something I never thought I'd get to see, will never forget that 🤘

  27. I love all of them! Just recently listened to Rev Rad the other day hahah. I have 21st CB (the song) as my ringtone right now. It has been a while since I changed my ringtone. May switch it up to something from Saviors. What I meant by 21st CB - Rev Rad is the albums from 21 CB through Rev Rad (including the trilogy). I love the lyrics in 21 CB, they have so much feelings built up. I love the whole thing (including Saviors, Rev Rad and the Trilogy)

  28. Bobby Sox Strange Days Are Here to Stay and it goes between Susie Chapstick and Corvette Summer. But also I'd rank Bobby Sox in my top 10 GD songs in general.

  31. It is kind of weird when they're a cover band and could literally play any song that exists lol. But there's so few Coverups shows and almost no one sees more than one so it really doesn't matter. No one who bought a ticket to this show has seen the Coverups live before.

  38. Unfortunately it does not matter how much all of us in the community will listen to it. Much more people from all genres should care to listen to it if we want to secure its further success. You might remember the person in Reddit who streamed "Fancy Sauce" more than 1000 times in only two weeks, yet it is still the least streamed song on that album besides "Father To A Son". Unless each one of us reaches impossible streaming statistics, it is unlikeable it will rise higher if not many, many, many people with other music preferences choose to stream it numerous times.

  45. I don't see it as they are putting Saviors out to pastures at all. This is completely separate to GD and just something they are doing over here on the side as a bit of fun as someone else has said. I'm sure if Tre was around it would be a small GD show, but he isn't 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm looking forward to seeing The Coverups tomorrow 😍 Has anyone got their e-tickets through yet?

  46. I agree a head of hair like that is a lot of work but the plus of still having such a thick head of hair in his line of work at his age must count for something. I like it short - not MDP video short - but he’s had it short and it’s looked great before now.

  47. Listen to Billie whine about nothing and everything all at once for Basket Case day. I can imagine that on a billboard in the East Bay. lol

  48. Last night I dreamt Tré was my math teacher. He introduced himself as 'Trés Snoo" and then wrote that in big capital letters on the whiteboard. He taught us about grapefruit an made up an acrostic poem to remember how to spell grapefruit. I had to write it on the board. Then our classroom started flooding and the dream ended
