  13. Forever now IS my favourite Green day song (i'm fan since 1994) and Revolution radio grew on me since FOAM (don't like It) and also last month with saviors. As you said, no skipables songs. My only claim on It IS only 12 songs. I think IS the BEST post american idiot album.

  14. Listening to Forever Now right now hahaha. I love playing Rev Rad songs on the guitar. Easy to play and sound amazing. Not a single bad song in the album.

  17. When somebody says "Here we go again" I immediately think of 'Going to Pasalacqua'. When somebody also use the word contradiction I also think of Walking Contradiction (same with Basket Case)

  18. The Music Video in question might be for "Corvette Summer" and possibly the plot is: Tré Cool stars in it as a not so well man dressed in rabbit costume with a sniper, who invades candy shops, eats every cake and while leaving the store removes a small part of his costume and gives it to the first children he meets. When transporting with his Corvette, he sends messages to Warner, warning them to stop calling him. During the solo, he is on a rollercoaster and makes multiple expressions, but when the train is stopped he is instantly arrested by police officers. As the video fades, the officers carry him to their vehicle and as numerous journalists gather keeping videos of the event, Tré points at them and pulls his tongue out; everything but the tongue fades completely, leaving the organ alone on a black screen for a while. i am obviously joking, only serious candidates for a new music video are "1981", "Strange Days Are Here To Stay" and "Father To A Son".

  19. They played at iHeart in 2016 and played Bang Bang, RevRad, Still Breathing and Ordinary World (also had Youngblood on the written setlist) In 2019 the only new song they played was Father of All twice.

  20. Thanks a lot! I'm not used to playing solos so it sure was a challenge, even though it's a simple one.

  21. Yes, it’s also on Spotify and I assume other platforms

  25. There are heaps of Trunk Nation podcasts available so hopefully this one will be too.

  26. Exactly! I had no idea what a gooner was at the start of this but even I knew Arsenal fans were called gunners.

  27. Will there be a way to listen to this podcast as, you know, a podcast? I don't have Sirius... Am I old? Does podcast just refer to any audio show of that nature? I thought it had to be an Apple Podcasts thing. I feel like such an out of touch millenial! I don't know what's hip with the youths anymore. So cool he's doing another of these, though! I could listen to Billie talk all fucking day and still be like "Please give me more!"

  28. When Revrad forst came out I thought it absolutely banged. Then 8 played it to death for a while. Still listened to some of my faves in playlists but not the full album for a good while. Then played it in the lead up to Foam coming out and loved it all over again. Rinse and repeat in the build up to Saviors. I think it's as underappreciated as warning tbh. And Ordinary World in one of my favourite songs Green Day have ever done - though I think forever now would have been a better closer to bring the album full circle. What about you?

  29. Over 500,000 people follow that Billions Club playlist so just being at the top of that one alone is going to give them a huge bump

  32. After a month I'd normally have clear faves but this album just makes me want to play it on repeat. Making the dinner? Stick it on. Doing laundry? Stick it on. Working out? Stick it on. Need some background noise? Stick it on. It's so good. Best I've felt about a green day album since Breakdown and I even enjoyed the trilogy and foam when they came out.

  33. I love when Tre does the full makeup looks! Maybe during the summer tour Billie will start to wear the eyeliner again, I miss it!
    1 point
  34. He's tended to wear it on and off over the years, often been periods of time where he didn't. A few months ago he got annoyed with some idiot who was saying GD wore too much makeup/had work done on Instagram and passionately defended wearing makeup and said he "loves it" so I'm sure he'll wear eyeliner again! Tre's been sporting it lately.

  38. So top 5 from this poll are SDAHTS, Dilemma, Suzie Chapstick, Goodnight Adeline, and Fancy Sauce. Now the question is, how many of those will they actually play live? So far, Dilemma is the only one we've heard.
    1 point
  39. No, Saviors will not be Green Day's last album.

  40. I'm deeply in love with this song . It's a top 5 Green Day song to me
    1 point
  41. I know, right? I listened to the album with headphones on in the dark last night and when the outro of Fancy Sauce kicked in, I got the shivers. It feels like you're suddenly standing there all alone in the chaos of the apocalypse with no one there to save you. And I can really feel the strong motif of the record coming to an end here (even though it's not a concept album, I think it's still there): You're drowning in the chaos of our absurd reality, desperately calling for a savior, maybe even a messiah ("Calling all saviors tonight. Will somebody save us tonight?" in the title track), but no one answers. No one's there. Whoa.
