Omg, I can’t believe this but I’m going! This is possibly the most rash thing I have ever done in my life but got a cheap flight, cheap room to stay…feels unreal. May not sleep til Wednesday.

This kind of negativity is just tiresome.

I wouldn't call a 7 hour flight "only" lol but seeing side bands is awesome. Seeing Billie perform up close in a small venue with the atmosphere that goes with it is amazing, more than makes up for whatever songs are and aren't played.

Damn I can't go but this is cool! The Garage is where FBHT played, the shows will be awesome. This isn't a marketing campaign. Billie can do what he wants in his spare time. Green Day are touring later this year. This show isn't instead of a Green Day event, it's instead of nothing.

Club shows aren’t something I’d categorize as album promotion to begin with, at least not large scale promo like tv show appearances or interviews. They’re just a chance for big fans to see them in an intimate setting — that’s not promoting anything to anyone outside the fanbase. I don’t disagree that more Saviors promo would make sense (there’s a lot of people talking about this in the album discussion thread), but they clearly don’t have any planned right now and so comparing it to Billie doing a Coverups show is just incongruous. Maybe they’ll do more promo in the lead up to the tour. Or maybe they won’t, because they’re happy with the promo they’ve already done and want to focus on putting on a great show this summer and not worry about that. Only they know what makes sense to put energy into from a promotional, financial, and personal standpoint. Maybe mentally and physically, big promo pushes just aren’t it for them. And that’s totally fine and understandable.

I will say, I have always been firmly on Team Black Hair, but the blonde this time around has really grown on me! I do think it would be really cool to see Green Day live while Billie's rocking the blonde. I've only ever seen him in person with black hair. I also want bangs. Please give me that (preferably fluffy) hair with bangs that hang a little bit into his eyes! That is hands down my favorite hairstyle on Billie. Like this:

This isn't an alternative to Green Day doing something. It's just something Billie's doing in his time off while in England instead of watching TV or sitting in a pub lol. Seems like they're having some downtime after the album release/before touring, or any one of them might have other commitments who knows. They can do as much or little promotion as they want, they're not a new struggling band.

That’s a neat trick to get Green Day fans to watch your video. Hope they paid a good fee to the lady who owns it.

Floofy Billie in England Wow yes. Sometimes when I see something like them getting inducted in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame or the Woodstock show or the iconic American Idiot music video etc I think of seeing them in small clubs like that and it blows my mind. Answered by the man himself!

The jet black is iconic and he looked so gorgeous with it but that would really age him now I think and I don’t want him looking like creepy like Tom Jones did for years, I know he’s a lot older but the principle still applies. I like this blonde because it’s not just bleached, it’s dyed and I think he looks great with it. I love the floof at the front, don’t mind the colour but don’t like it flat. I love the “Elvis” hair he has sometimes had and I love it short. I wonder if he has a thing about his ears as he almost always covers them, he seems to go out of way to do so. First time I saw them live was October 2009, Billie was blonde and I’m still recovering 😂😂

I remember there were a few people disappointed because Billie's hair was dark in the next show after he had posted a selfie with this red hair😅 Wish he would wear this hairstyle again!

i am prepared to be crucified but divine Billie Joe Armstrong should try, at least, a red/orange shade, or a different colour variation instead of elevating between black and blonde. Especially for his current hairstyle red would be almost as fitting as his apparent hair colour.

I always loved his blond hair. But mix it with his 21stCB clothes and now you have 2009-2010. My all time favourite era. That's why I was a little fucked up when I see him jump on stage at the FEQ with his 21CB hair and AI clothes.

For a very long time i considered Sum 41 as the worst band in the world ever (i do not think so anymore). i would like to disagree with its placement there, it has nothing to do with the recently released album plus it adds views and likes to one of Green Day's traditional enemies (same genre, vice versa).

Thank you, although i was not talking about my self though, it is the whole world who is sufferring. Prices are climbing to heaven and furthermore, war is expanding in Middle East and could even come to Africa, new Cold War relationships are created, all arts are static like a stone and generally nothing at all provides any message of better days coming, except for Green Day. As for me, i am a waiter in a stupid coffee shop, studying in one of my country's worst colleges and still failing most of my classes, living with my parents due to financial malfunctions and still barely having any outcome at all to spend in anything but necessities, loaded with debts to my throat and fresh from my third break up in 3 years. Other than that, everything is perfect.

I think the disappointment comes from the initial hope they were doing a string of club shows as promotion. A couple got cancelled from covid, and then promotion ended and nothing more happened. They just released an album and it's like they're on hiatus again. I still hope Green Day will do more warm up shows before the tour, but it's likely that won't happen if Billie just does Coverups shows instead. I get that those are easier to pull together and more low key, and they are fun if you're there, but they've proven they can still do Green Day pop ups and they know how fans feel about another expensive stadium tour. So who wouldn't rather see Green Day than the Coverups?

Thank Buddha there is the "Saviours" record putting spice in the pot because 2024 is a monumentally awful year. "Suzie Chapstick" could be a single in similar style as "Last Of The American Girls" were from "21st Century Breakdown", a diverse choice.
