This is classic old school Billie especially that face at the end lol Also classic Billie to burn great songs on side projects! Lol It’s all good though cause we got to hear it. I wish the songs from These Paper Bullets were more accessible. Would be cool for Green Day to use Follow You Around in some way. People underestimate what its like to be in their position. Just read through comments anytime GD is mentioned. Theres no middle ground its either they saved your life or they murdered your mother. One guy was shitting on them on FB and a guy commented and wrote “it’s really easy to maintain your integrity when you’re a nobody”. That guy is a hero for that comment lol4 points

Here's something I didn't know...Corey Taylor covered Pulling Teeth! Kind of funny considering how much Billie hates Slipknot4 points

Is Green Day breaking up though? Dang, Billie was mad.3 points
-
Omg the best random livestream ever!! Thank you for blessing my feed with this gem.3 points
-
Nah. They did plenty of variants for the official release. I'm honestly glad there are no Green Day releases for RSD. I'm really sick of waking up early for RSD3 points
-
Mike and Tre probably wanted to actually take a break after an album/world tour while Billie's songwriting output is relentless haha. Feels like the most likely reason.3 points

Is anyone surprised that there isn’t a vinyl variant for RSD with the amount they’ve made? I was so expecting one when the list cane out…2 points

You definitely hear influences of the Longshot on Saviors. Someday I hope we find out the real story behind why that became a solo project without his bandmates and not a Green Day album.2 points

Per Billie: "We just watched a documentary on American Idiot that we're gonna put out" Do you think there's anything more to the story to be said or shown that HLAHG and BIAB didn't cover?1 point

I figured some of them out! You might have confirmed Don't Look Away by now. Dream is an alternate name to Boudleaux Bryant's All I Have to Do is Dream, I think the name Dream was the one used by the Everly Brothers. And Green Day played a cover of the song in 92. Fuck You is the name to a bootleg live album. Fell for Snoo is an old name to Fell for You. I'll Make You Surrender was an alternate title to Red Lights. Jezebel is an unreleased song which could be Troublemaker. Slayer Reprise could just be an indicator of them playing the riff to Angel of Death twice in a show. Too Young to Die was a fanmade name assigned to Carpe Diem after GD played the Tiki Bar. What You Say was a fanmade name assigned to Stay. You Really Got a Hold On Me, according to setlist.fm archives, was originally performed by some artist I forgot the name of but the editors confused it with the Kinks/Halen song definitely.1 point

Corey Taylor once played the entire Dookie album on an acoustic set. He's a great guy!1 point

Agreed. I think their much younger families must factor into things.1 point

Corey also covered She and Good Riddance. Awesome musician to be honest, since nu-metal is definitely my favorite subgenre of metal.1 point

Yeah I don't really mind whether things get released as Green Day or a side project but can definitely hear similarities to The Longshot on Saviors! Which is cool because I love that Longshot album.1 point

Billie coming out to take pictures of the support band (I forget their name) at Irving Plaza 2012 really brings the memories come flooding back to me. I was there, what an exciting time.1 point

Grand Olympic is a show we need, we know the setlist but have got no audio surfacing.1 point

Warfield would be the BEST option for the anniversary edition, but I don't think so because there's any a soundboard récording of It in boots1 point

Yeah I don’t deny that the second part of Brutal Love is possibly a piece from Dropout. I think its lyrics were rearranged for Brutal Love though. So they brought in elements of Dropout which is the song from C&V, Brutal Love is very much from the trilogy though. And your quick eye on Cuatro proves that so thanks for catching that. Interesting to see how far some of those vaulted songs have gone. Dropout being considered in 2012, some other song’s progression was used with Youngblood for Rev Rad. I think it’s clear C&V’s tracklist would have been longer than AI’s, I’m getting the sense it was similar to Nimrod that way.1 point

I really think they had momentum with this album release and should have kept up the promotion, really saturating the media with their faces and performances on late night TV and popular YouTube shows that millions watch, promoting both Saviors and the anniversary tour. One week wasn't enough.1 point

I've had Suzie Chapstick stuck in my head all day. It's definitely one of the catchiest in the album and it has simple, but beautiful lyrics. It would make a great single. I'd also love to hear a live acoustic version, the song would feel more emotional.1 point

Apparently it's located at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland. The tree isn't there but the grave is. Two fans visited and recreated the cover. You can see it in the link below https://www.instagram.com/p/CzeQzzqOvcN/?igsh=MW51dmd5Ynd6M2h0MA==1 point

It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to one of these shows for so many people. It's a much bigger deal than a greatest hits tour like Hella Mega was. Yes, a lot of their greatest hits come from AI/Dookie but so do some underrated deep cuts that never/rarely get played live. Dookie has been played live on multiple occasions but I would still love to hear that album played live. But AI especially, there are songs like She's A Rebel, Extraordinary Girl, Whatsername that haven't been played for ages. I would like for the new songs to not get overshadowed by that but at the end of the day, a great setlist is a great setlist. At the very least, I think we can expect to hear some new stuff. I don't think it's going to be a repeat of FOAMF which was basically completely ignored live after the first couple weeks of promo1 point
