I think since early listens start 1/13, I’ll probably take a hiatus from here until midnight starting 1/19 once it drops. Want to go in as fresh as possible and have 99% decided not to do a listening party.

Pretty good interview. The interviewer (I dunno who he is TBH) seemed to have done his research pretty extensively in some areas but not in others. Like he knew some pretty remarkable details about BJA's life but didn't know that Jason White still plays with the band? Lots of stuff we'd already heard, but in long form content like this you always get to hear stuff you haven't. BJA's recollection of the early days is pretty remarkable considering. I did find the editing jarring at times though. There were some pretty egregious edits in many of BJAs answers for whatever reason. Assuming it was for brevity reasons as there was a distinct lack of "y'know" throughout, but there could've been stuff that they decided shouldn't make the cut.

I think this song is going to be super fun live both for the crowd and for the lads to play.

I’m starting to think FOAM has been getting unfair criticism. It’s actually not that bad, and in that podcast with Billie, he even said he’s really proud of the song Father of All…!! That being said, yes, Saviors is looking to be a stronger album!!! And I think it’s a safe bet that the next album will be out in 2028! And we’re now in an election year, and no matter who wins, Trump or Biden, album 15 could very well be an epic politically inspired album!!! Just think AI/21CB!!!

Prediction: this will be the most acclaimed album by critics and fans since american idiot, then will be proceeded by an album of foams quality

Considering the biggest acts out today barley go platinum, i think that's highly unlikely I do think saviors will debut at #1 on the billboard charts though

I don't share the opinion from this local radio stations. Saviors will be a very well written and produced album. It will be better than RevRad and FOAMF but never as good as AI.

I mean it's OK, nothing very exciting. I like the heavy sound but the lyrics sound pretty lazy.

Especially because this will ultimately happen to every generation. Green Day was one of the biggest bands when I was a teenager and that was only 15 years ago. Now I’m almost 30 and people who are younger than me enjoy different stuff (not all of them, obviously, but a majority of them). But in 20 years from now, teenagers probably won’t listen to Taylor Swift or The Weeknd anymore, not because these aren’t good musicians but because they’ll have their own idols. That’s just the way it goes.

Agreed and I find it really ironic that at a time when everyone (ok, many people) are trying to be open and accepting of everyone else and their lifestyles etc, we are so busy labelling people. Are you Gen Z or X, is this dad rock, etc. As I have got older I cannot believe how quick people are to look at me and make lots of assumptions, it really pisses me off.
