  1. Obviously, not every conservative is racist or homophobic, but Donald Trump and many other Republicans definitely are. Supporting them means supporting their views and actively endorsing a racist and homophobic agenda. So I can definitely see why Green Day criticizes these people. And by the way, this isn’t even an American problem anymore. There are similar movements/politician all around the world, and their voters definitely know what they stand for. And yes, the alternatives (like Biden) aren’t always great, but that doesn’t make the racists any better.

  3. My assumption is OEB this week on Thursday as a promo single and nothing else until album release, including no other proper singles until March.

  5. Well I just called Aux 33 Tours at Montreal. They didn't even know 😂 While I was on the phone he went on Green Day instagram and was like ''wtf!? Seriously!? Let's go!''

  6. Tbf FOAM is a fun album. At least I think so. It's got some bangers on there.

  7. Cool I’m gonna need Bobby Sox to come out right now please

  8. To those who died on the hill that the leaked OEB was a demo and argued with me relentlessly when I said it was for sure a studio recording: 'GET ON YOUR KNEES WHEN YOU ARE KISSING MY RING' 🖕😆

  9. One eyed bastard seems to remain the same as they just launched a teaser! I am still excited to hear the song in HQ ❤️

  10. Here's our assignment whenever green day drops a new video on Facebook and Instagram comment leave as many comments as possible drowned out the lunatics on the right because the other day they were just trolling the fk out of green day this will definitely happen again show our support for God's favorite band #saviors

  11. Not what they meant. It’s more of a highlight that unlike the silly, juvenile nature of GD’s previous material, this album delves into themes of real, more mature problems (like alcoholism), and they are correct

  12. No one's saying they aren't allowed to react, it's the fact that they seem totally blindsided by Green Day's views that's funny.

  14. Hard to believe the album version of "One Eyed Bastard" is the exact same as the leak (I verified)... wow.

  16. I agree, I think where most people have issue is the fact it’s under the Green Day umbrella buuuut what can ya do 😶‍🌫️

  17. i never trusted music reviews, mostly they are not professional and not objective enough anyways, cant believe we get a full new green day album in about 2 weeks!

  18. Rolling Stone’s main commentary on GD has been “they’re growing up!” since American Idiot in a way that I find slightly annoying lol. They’ve been writing about both silly thing and mature things for a long time. They contain multitudes, whoa! I don’t disagree that Dilemma is a mature song and other songs on the album sound similar, but “growing up” is not an apt description for 51 year olds lmao. Good review though. Also what the HECK is Bobby Sox, I need it now?????

  19. I often disagree with single choices from Green Day albums, or at least there are songs I think are way better than some singles. So I'm not worried.

  20. It’s absolutely beyond me that conservatives and right-wing activists and their supporters all around the world actually believe that they’re somehow part of a revolutionary anti-establishment movement. These people are obsessed with free speech and constantly claim that the mainstream media is taking this right away, yet they can’t deal with even the slightest criticism. So good job, Green Day. I’d actually be disappointed if these people supported the band.

  21. Is it me or the bass stand out more in the teaser? Or is it just the mix?
    4 points
  22. I don't know which leak you heard, but the actual one was a fully finished high quality recording of the song.

  23. "It won't be the same, it will be mixed by CLA, they will cut the riff and change it" Exactly the same in HQ and it's just fine the way it is 👊👊

  24. Let me tell you something, okay? I've always said everyone's entitled to their opinion, even if they don't agree with me. That's what makes America great! So if Billie Joe doesn't support the MAGA agenda, that's his choice. We're all entitled to our views. And as for those who don't agree, well, they can scream all they want – that's the beauty of democracy. But let me tell you, America is strong, and we'll keep moving forward! You know, folks, I've always said we should focus on positivity and unity. Going after Green Day with hate, that's not the MAGA way. Let's rise above it, okay? We're bigger and better than that. Don't let them drag you into that typical leftist behavior. We're about making America great again, and that means bringing people together, not tearing them apart.

  25. Highlights from the review: OEB described as a goombah rocker A nod to bisexualty on Bobbysox Send up to Nirvana on Fancy Sauce. Okay now I REALLY need to hear Fancy Sauce!

  26. …. And it was a great performance (yes, I know I’m repeating myself) and it’s Wednesday so we get the official version of OEB soon!

  27. Like, what about that cover of the Beach Boys' I Get Around that Billie leaked last year, or was it 2022?

  28. And why is Fever just a Japan exclusive?

  29. I'd much rather have OEB rep the album than 1981. Unless 1981 sounds better on the album than the live performances have. Just feels too generic too me.

  30. Bass is definitely way up. I think OEB is fine but having it as a single or pillar of the album makes me feel a tad less optimistic for the album as a whole.

  36. Let the maga/Trump heads scream into the void It’s great publicity, everyone outside of America thinks they’re a bunch of nutjobs and is laughing at them anyway

  37. It was a good day for Insomniac heads yesterday! I was driving around LA all morning and XM would play the studio version followed by a live version of the song with The Boo and pinhead gunpowder sprinkled in between!

  38. I also don’t trust these reviews, but they are fun to read to get hyped about the songs.

  39. The second line is obviously a generalization of similar songs on the album, the excerpt from the beginning shows they know what they’re talking about lol

  40. Right wing in America right now is represented by Donald Trump. So what I'm obviously referring to when I'm saying right wing people is people that are in support of the right wing representatives right now that got butthurt about what Billie said. No need to start a pointless discussion when the point is obvious.
    3 points
  41. They really do. No racism, no sexism, no homophobia. That was written up there on Gilman St. so may years ago. Now go see the things Trump and his right wing media are saying. If you don't see that point sorry I can't help you more.

  42. I wouldn't care one way or the other if Green Day said "fuck Barack Obama", honestly. Same if they spoke out about Joe Biden. It's entirely possible to be anti-MAGA as well as critical of Obama/Biden, lol. To me the conservative outrage about Green Day's politics is about as ridiculous as when people were shocked to learn about Rage Against the Machine's very obvious political beliefs (that band isn't exactly subtle). It's just really really absurdly funny.

  43. Apparently Fox News talked about this a couple times too. This is truly so funny. I’m glad they’re getting lots of coverage ahead of the new album release! 😂 @CuntThe reason why this is so goofy isn’t because both sides get charged over things; that’s not the point. Of course everyone gets defensive about politics. The reason it’s hilarious-bordering-on-feeling-like-satire is because Green Day has been loudly liberal their entire career, so any conservative believing Green Day has been lost to “wokeness” or had any love for Trump is just a complete moron. A more appropriate comparison would be if liberals were shocked that Kid Rock said shit about Obama. Because of course he would. We all know this already.

  45. I’m one of the few who really loved the leaked version of OEB so I’m super excited to hear the final version! I don’t expect it to sound much different and I don’t want it to, I like it how it is!

  46. I'm assuming "One Eyed Bastard" will be a promo single, like "Look Ma, No Brains!", rather than a for-radio single like "TADIKM" and "Dilemma".

  47. Wow, the comments on their social media really are a mess. A guy just posted this in response to somebody saying how much they liked Dilemma. His Facebook description: "Catholic HVACspecialist nutritionist personalTrainer tigerTamer starterOfRevolutions/uprisings farmer"
