It’s weird when they play just the Song of the Century intro by itself and then go to something else

I swear I think about it everyday, gonna be huge what a moment to be a fan of this band

Heard it last night! Mike introduced it and was raving about how much he loves it.

Easily like the week before or week of release. I’m gonna guess they’ll do around 5 singles as it’s pretty much industry standard at this point. I personally want more videos, the ones we’ve gotten so far have been great!

So excited for this record. Loving all the singles still.

Mike just talked about WICA but he didn’t talk about the lyrics, he just described how fun it is to play and has this pocket in the rhythm and they had a feeling it was a hit record.

I’m really hoping they play and comment on Brutal Love at some point. That song is far and above one of my favorite GD tracks and so not talked about enough!

Had a rare GD dream last night! I got invited to this big venue and I wasn't sure why. My mom and I are sitting there wondering what's going to happen. The lights go dim and on the stage appears...Billie! Turns out it's an exclusive pre-album release show! They were playing new songs from Saviors and showing off fancy new stage tricks like Billies face appearing on the crowd using lights. As soon as I realized what was happening I pulled out my phone to record some of the show. Everything was great 😃...and then I woke up 😑

Billie: “21 Guns is about releasing your ego, just giving up. Sometimes you might need more help than you think.”

I think we should take a moment every so often to appreciate Billies brief chubby phase in his 20s.

Mike just had all kinds of praise for the Trilogy. He said he really loves Tre, describes it as the one where they were trying to get into the craft of songwriting. Uno was pure power pop and he says Dos really should have been a Foxboro Hot Tubs record. He said yeah he gets that people think it should have been condensed to one record but “when the faucet’s on you just let it keep running”.

Coming into the new year, do you guys think we'll get one more single (Father to a Son?) before the album comes out or do you think it's coming after that?

I thought it was interesting that Mike admitted Dos should've been a foxboro hot tubs album. And he even acknowledged that the fans thought doing 3 albums at once was too scattered

Howdy! A few months ago my Green Day tribute band went into the studio and recorded a few videos. We've recently released our versions of Minority, Basket Case and Letterbomb, and have a few more in the works. See what you think, and all feedback is welcome! I recently watched Rumble Fish and it is HILARIOUS how many times they say "Rusty James" It's like some bizarre language or something. They have to say his name at least twice in every sentence. "Rusty James, want to get lunch Rusty James? Rusty James, you know I don't like burgers Rusty James. Rusty James, oh Rusty James you're such a jerk Rusty James. Rusty James, I hate you Rusty James. Rusty James, we gotta go get Motorcyle Boy, Rusty James. Rusty James, what do we do?" I'm going to read The Outsiders and Rumble Fish as soon as I can. If the movies are weird, I know the books must be a trip .

There’s towns and regions the band don’t hit up live so I mean it’s not a huge deal to have a cover band fill the void.

Nah I think all cover bands are cool to see, even if it’s a cover band for a currently active band. I saw a Green Day cover band in a bar and they didn’t sound too impressive, but they won me over when they played JOS as a 3-piece!

So are we all expecting the new material to not be broadcast until after the new year? Perhaps a bit closer to release? I’d imagine whatever next single they’re choosing will probably be a big highlight first, and then the rest of the album after release. Also THANK YOU SO MUCH @pacejunkie punk for documenting the commentary on the older material! I love hearing their thoughts, and as someone who doesn’t have the service it’s very appreciated 😁

As someone who can’t listen, I love hearing the little tidbits! Also love that they’re playing all sorts of deep cuts.

In this song, I really appreciate the way Billie sings "I am so grateful, forever faithful to..." at the end of the first verse. He sings it with a sarcastic quiver that fits the message perfectly.
