  1. I’m really looking forward to this album. The three released songs have all been really good and I don’t get tired listening to them. RevRad had this same pre-release feeling but fell off pretty hard for the most part. Can’t wait!

  2. Remember when we thought that they bring out an album in February 2022. Now we're here and it looks like it was worth the wait 😌

  4. No! The BEST opener. And such a banger of a song.

  5. They talked about an album they were working on in the phone messages they were leaving on the website at the time. https://greenday.fm/audio/phone-messages/

  6. I’m turning 30 in a few months so I feel you! And couldn’t agree with you more re: them bring in their early 30s when AI came out. So so crazy.

  7. Dilemma is so good it actually leaves me confused. Not that i disliked the trilogy or revrad but its kind of like.....where the fuck has this been? Even the music video is amazing.

  8. i just hope the other songs are as good as the singles, or even better it always sucks when you get hyped by good single outputs but when you listen to the a new album for the first time its just "meh" for most other songs

  9. Enough bashing of Taylor Swift, this isn't the forum for that. Back to Saviors, I am feeling myself getting more and more antsy for this album. Based on everything I've heard, so far my most anticipated songs are Father to a Son and Coma City. I am so used to this quick release of songs in the last few months, I can't handle waiting a few more weeks where we probably won't get anything new from the album

  10. I was 9 when I got into Green Day and they've been my favorite band since 1996 and I'm sure a lot of people on here got into GD when they were young. You're acting like Green Day is some hardcore band but they're still pretty poppy even though they have some faster songs and heavy guitars. Also, there's plenty adults who love Taylor Swift, and they have every right to, why do you care so much? Also, I'm sure on albums like American Idiot and 21st Century, and maybe even Saviors it seems like the producers are guiding the band through the writing process. The producers aren't co-writers, but they have input on how the songs come out

  11. @lucky_stars I turned 30 this year and so many things I got into as a kid — music, movies, etc. — are celebrating 20, 25 year anniversaries and it’s really freaking me out lol. I think the pandemic also made time feel like it just stopped for a while, so I’d very easily believe that RevRad just happened like, two years ago. My memories of the AI era are still so vivid to me, too, which makes it even trippier that it was 20 years ago. Now I understand why people my parents age were still listening to 80s music when I was young, lol. I’m the same way now with my early 00s music! 😂 It’s crazy to me they were only 32 when AI came out, and had already experienced so much success before that. The achievements they had just 10 years apart, and only in their early 30s, is nuts.

  12. It wasn’t “dismissed” as drunken behavior, it was drunken behavior lol. He wasn’t in his right mind so whatever point he had doesn’t mean very much. And I disagree that people who work in the industry who have heard the album are “holding it over us,” they’re just being honest

  13. Overrated? Downvote? Please log off, touch grass! How could it possibly be overrated, that doesn't even make sense. Naturally, there is going to be a lot of hype around an anniversary for a highly acclaimed, incredibly culturally relevant album. That doesn't take away from the fact that the boys are doing a good job of properly hyping the album up without overdoing it. The singles, the videos & promotional cycle have been fairly solid thus far. I've seen people that haven't been stoken in Green Day in years get genuinely excited & I think they are right to do so. The singles bring to mind more of what people generally prefer from Green Day & I don't think that makes any of this not-even-out album overrated. If anything, a lot of people are cautiously optimistic about the album, which seems like the opposite of anything being overrated. I don't think that term even applies in this situation, tbh. Seems like an unnecessarily pessimistic point of view to take.
