The Armstrong’s, If There Was Ever A Time came on my playlist and Billie sounds so good in that song. Not sure if it’s partly the contrast between Tim and him but his voice just rings. Much as I love growls Billie, I hope for a track that sounds like pure Billie.

They praised the donots and they totally derserve it. They‘re one of the best live bands in Germany and never disappointed me during a show. They booked Green Day back in 1992(?) in their hometown and Ingo (Singer) said Green Day never forgot about it, thats why Green Day asked them to open for them in 2010. You should listen to them, don’t worry, most records are in English 😂

Boy, every song we've heard so far has just knocked it out of the park! I like Rev Rad a lot and I love the Trilogy, but I have a feeling this will be their best album since 21CB. I wonder how much it has to do with them working with Rob again or just moving on to a new headspace after getting FOAM out of their systems. Probably a combination of the two.

My son keeps telling me to say shit instead of poop when we're singing along, because I'm a grownup. On an unrelated note, Green Day shall release their 30th Album when the members turn 100. I wanted them to make MY 100th birthday party, but seeing as I was born in 19-19-1985, Green Day may be too old to perform for my big celebration. A lot could happen either way between now and 2085 so we'll see.

From the GD wiki: One for the Razorbacks is the second track on Green Day's second studio album, Kerplunk! The song was written for a girl from Arkansas Billie Joe Armstrong wrote that year, where they allegedly listened to the demo in his car. So yeah, stands to reason that it's the Arkansas hand-egg team. Why did they feel the need to spin the C&V theft story I wonder? Maybe a PR move? A daft throwaway anecdote that got a bit out of control?

If this is the case then Cavallo is even more of a fucking hero than we first thought. Generally FOAMF was not recieved well - even amongst the band's most enthusiastic support. Seems insane that they'd go "yeah, let's do more of that"

I know in the AP interview they mentioned that the 1972 thing just eventually evolved into Saviors. I think Fever, OEB, DJD were probably a collection of songs meant for whatever 1972 was supposed to be. From the sound of those songs it would have been a successor to Foam sonically and in style. When Rob came in the dynamic shifted and of course in turn so does the tracklist and project as a whole. kind of like a C&V situation again

Okay, since Saviors is looking backward, forward and in all directions....what about a deluxe version of 39/Smooth with some of those song nuggets that never got recorded proper or at all? The songs performed live in 87-89. Sprinkle some AI on them or real 2023 Green Day and boom. Multiple songs like The Beatles Now and Then. Anyway. I'm ready to hear Saviors and savor it, but really I just wanna get a leak of Album 18. I look into the future / I am an album moocher/ are they there? are they there?

It’s wild to me that it seems like a decent portion of this existed in some form during FOAMF. Imagine them reading reviews/this forums reaction to that album while also sitting on some of their best material since 2009.

As far as I know someone collects them throughout the show and they're the ones Tre throws out into the crowd

It’s such a trip seeing all these interviews where they’re playing clips of American Idiot music videos going, “yeah, 20 years ago!” Green Day is by far the artist I’ve been a fan of the longest, and it is really the strangest feeling looking back at old music videos or their old award show performances and thinking, “oh yeah, I remember watching that live on tv when I was 12.” It’s quite disorienting, and almost bittersweet that I’ve lived so much life with them. And I’m a “young” fan!

BT’s video way too short

I had a dream that Phoebe Bridgers was going to perform with Green Day on New Year’s Eve and I was like, “oh no, but she sings too quiet to perform with them!”

Had a dream I was at my mother's house and Billie was trying to sleep in her bed and I was in the room with him and another fan. He fell asleep and I was drawing around the outline of the duvet on the mattress with a green marker pen, and the other fan kept telling me to stop because Billie doesn't like people drawing him when he's asleep. I was like, I'm not drawing him I'm tracing the duvet, and she kept getting annoyed saying he wouldn't like it as his kids used to do it and it pissed him off? Then she told me he used to share porn mags with his kids I was like wut 😐 Billie then woke up and suddenly the bed was covered in games and dolls and stuff. I was helping him clear up and put them away so he could go back to sleep, and then the other fan gave him some paracetamol and was helping him brush his teeth but the toothbrush was all bendy so he couldn't brush properly. Then I found his cigs and a lighter and put them on the table so they didn't get lost and Billie got annoyed for some reason lol

@pacejunkie punk Has made it to my subconscious. Had a dream where she said Billie's wrists were a turn off and she didn't want to see any pics where you could see his wrists. Okay.
