  2. True but oddly I also thought the opposite— that this is just the kind of thing to make him turn off comments or take his account down again. You can never tell with him

  6. Father to a Son is the most overrated song I've never heard

  7. So I guess this means I can't say I dislike blonde Billie anymore? I'm not sure what it is this time around, but those photos look great! 🤩

  8. *THE* previous album. A song about previously being a previous age. A....TEEN age, perhaps?

  9. FOAM is pretty fun. They should be proud of it. Experimenting is great and it turned out to be a good album, just not what we wanted after RevRad. Now with Saviors it seems we're getting just that.

  10. Commenting directly to people via social media on their appearance and speculating on them having surgery/wearing makeup is so boring and rude whether it's a celebrity or not. Can't blame anyone for being annoyed by that and I don't see what's wrong with expressing it. Thoroughly deserved takedown.

  12. The 21CB tour opener still gives me goosebumps after all this years. Would die for it if they decide to bring this one back.

  14. “Father Of All… was one of those moments where we were like, ‘Let’s try something new.’ We learned so much from it, and it’s like it has a baby called Saviors!” Billie, I beg you to not describe the album as a FOAMF baby. Looking forward to the full interview!

  15. Don’t see the full thing yet, but this is on the website. Seems the magazine is only physically published quarterly now which is a shame but hopefully will make sharing it easier. https://www.kerrang.com/ Looks like this is the Winter issue, available to buy.

  16. That's incredible! I would love a list of Green Day related locations. If there is anything closer than California I would love to visit it. Anything in the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee area that is Green Day related? Those are Day trips whereas all the super cool Billie Joe smoking a joint in your living room stuff is waaaaaaaay out there. I did the maths and it's exactly 2000 light-years away. Away.

  18. Not found it yet. I think it’ll be in bigger supermarkets and WH Smith. They had an older edition in HMV in Edinburgh yesterday, so assume it’ll be available there soon if you have one near you.

  20. I wonder if the song they're filming for at the bar was Father to a Son. If it's supposed to be a tearjerker, I could now picture a father character in the video (Billie himself or another actor) getting drunk at the bar.

  21. Really looking forward to Coma City and Dilemma now.

  22. It's not gonna help us to know what is the next music video but they filmed it last night in Long Beach at the Alex's Bar. EDIT: it was for Green Day

  23. If you have Instagram here's a link to the interview from Green Day Inc https://www.instagram.com/p/C0RqdfONAwJ/?img_index=1 My biggest takeaways are that they seem to be planning on switching up the setlists from night to night for the upcoming tour and that I really want to hear Dilemma

  31. I think Warning is something they could almost go back to now and it would be considered a smart move. Acoustic first after such a heavy back catalog of distortion led guitar riffs would be amazing. With Nimrod I think it was a similar energy to foam. We know we want to do something different but there’s no cohesive nature to it. Ironically it worked out for Nimrod but no surprise it was a failure in foam. Then as far as experiments go you have the trilogy which is positioned somewhere in the middle. The grand scheme of 3 albums and almost 40 songs was too much but at the same time you have a solid record in Uno and some really interesting new songs here and there across the trilogy as a whole. A return to old sounds, a nod to all the eras before, after and in between and just enough new to stand alone as its own era.

  32. That’s because foam is awesome and all the haters don’t know what they’re talking about 😂

  33. Whatever it is, it seems film related versus a still shoot. Could be a music video or could they be pre-recording a TV appearance for December?

  36. You mean what's in front of his face? A camera. I suppose it's a video shoot and the scene needs to follow Billie while in movements. I don't think this rig would be used in a photoshoot

  37. Only four issues a year and they still get a cover story I like that. Definitely ordering but I also want that cover shot poster size 😍

  40. I don't really use Spotify but my bf plays songs for me on his iPad when I'm in the shower so his Spotify wrapped was basically hijacked by all my bullshit. We both freaked out when Billie started talking to us lmao

  41. Okay, so on Apple Music Green Day was (obviously) my Nr 1 artist. But what I didn't expect was, that I almost listened three times as often to GD songs than to songs of my Nr 2 artist 😅

  42. I think Billie said in the Amazon audio book that he has a really hard time listening to this album because he was in a bad psychological shape while recording the album. Would make sense to me. But beside that it's my favorite GD album and I also hope that they play more songs of the album at the upcoming tour!

  43. When I encountered someone with the surname “Bada” and I got bada bing, bada boom stuck in my head. GD are my #2 artist on Spotify this year. Fall Out Boy 1st, Kings of Leon 3rd, Sam Fender 4th, Weezer 5th.

  45. This is something I've been wondering too. It's the first album I listened to and the one that got me into Green Day in the first place. I love it so much! I really, really hope they start bringing back more songs 21CB aside from the now obligatory KYE. I'm glad they brought back 21 Guns on the last tour at least, but there are so many other amazing choices! See The Light, Static Age, Restless Heart Syndrome just to name a few. I really miss this album.

  47. He has changed his vocal placement in order to accommodate the stresses of touring/aging. It's really not a big deal, and an absolute necessity if he wants to maintain his voice and be able to continue performing for years to come. Look at the amount of old rock stars (Billie's age and older) that literally cannot sing their music anymore. Some of them can't even sing when they lower the key. We should all be happy that Billie is taking measures (and obviously being VERY intentional about his choices) that will help preserve his voice and allow them to keep making music and performing live.

  48. I think it’s a combination of aging and a change of vocal technique. From what I have researched and have seen (various sources) the voice does not reach its peak sound till about the mid 30s. Seems to align with what we have seen from Billie. I know in the 50’s it can be difficult because of the effects of aging. My dad was a singer and would tell me a lot about the new challenges he was facing as a singer in that age group. I think Billie started to face this around the Rev Rad era imo. He also smoked for many years and I know he suffers with some complications from that as well.

  49. I hope they play it INSIDE the Taco Bell as well. I never go in there, but it would be nice for the customers if it just blasted on a loop the whole time they ate.
