  1. Commenting directly to people via social media on their appearance and speculating on them having surgery/wearing makeup is so boring and rude whether it's a celebrity or not. Can't blame anyone for being annoyed by that and I don't see what's wrong with expressing it. Thoroughly deserved takedown.

  2. Billie Joe totally destroyed that internet troll on Instagram lmao

  3. “Father Of All… was one of those moments where we were like, ‘Let’s try something new.’ We learned so much from it, and it’s like it has a baby called Saviors!” Billie, I beg you to not describe the album as a FOAMF baby. Looking forward to the full interview!

  4. perhaps instead of the picture used on the album cover they should have used the picture from Warning but all three of them are photoshopped to be shirtless and wearing nipple tassels

  5. If you have Instagram here's a link to the interview from Green Day Inc https://www.instagram.com/p/C0RqdfONAwJ/?img_index=1 My biggest takeaways are that they seem to be planning on switching up the setlists from night to night for the upcoming tour and that I really want to hear Dilemma

  6. New music video coming soon according to Instagram I hope it’s father to a son

  7. I guess that settles that question of if they’ve ever had work done. I wish Billie wouldn’t let it get to him but his comebacks are funny. And makeup on guys is sexy #TeamMakeup

  8. Only four issues a year and they still get a cover story I like that. Definitely ordering but I also want that cover shot poster size 😍

  9. So happy to hear Billie say he loves wearing makeup and plans to do so for another 51 years!! For a while there we were in an eyeliner drought and I was getting worried he’d given it up but nope, he just confirmed he hasn’t! Thank you Billie!!

  12. It's not gonna help us to know what is the next music video but they filmed it last night in Long Beach at the Alex's Bar. EDIT: it was for Green Day

  13. FOAM is pretty fun. They should be proud of it. Experimenting is great and it turned out to be a good album, just not what we wanted after RevRad. Now with Saviors it seems we're getting just that.

  14. Great interview. Love their mindset, love their excitement, love what they shared about songs we haven't heard yet... Can't wait for this album to come out!

  15. The first interviewer to ask them about 1972 goes straight into the hall of fame.

  16. Nice interview! Love that they seem to be in a great place right now. Also, super happy they're not throwing FOAM under the bus like they (kind of) did to the trilogy.

  17. Not online much these days so trying to catch up with everything but this photo is just... Hello 😍 Stern Billie is kinda hot Also I think the shorter sides on his hair really does make him look a lot younger

  18. in the last couple years they almost completely dodged their recent 6(!) albums ... really weird and i hope they make some significant changes to their setlists

  19. This person clearly struck a nerve but good for him, I like he defended his buddies too. https://www.instagram.com/stories/billiejoearmstrong/3247161698446780804

  20. I found that Instagram takedown both charming and hilarious. I will take infinite more years of Green Day in which we all get really old and wrinkly. Can’t think of a better life. And also had to laugh because when I read that dude’s comment I was like “no, that’s just Tre’s face?” 😂

  21. I wanted to hear about more of the specific tracks. I guess we'll never know why they teased #1972 for so long I like the way he said that the way to really judge what fans think of songs is to hear the crowd reaction when you play them live. Glad they don't pay attention to all the internet noise. (But that said, wish they had played more of the album live)

  22. For a long time, they had a habit of being like, “oh, we don’t want to do things like that last album,” in interviews in a way that felt very…anxious and not super healthy. Like they were constantly reacting to what came before and their perceived failings of whatever the previous era was, trying to prove what they’re not anymore, instead of just looking to the future. I am not a FOAM fan, but I think the mindset they have now seems a lot healthier.

  29. I think Billie said in the Amazon audio book that he has a really hard time listening to this album because he was in a bad psychological shape while recording the album. Would make sense to me. But beside that it's my favorite GD album and I also hope that they play more songs of the album at the upcoming tour!

  30. Good for him. I love he defended Mike and Tre too. 👏👏👏

  31. This is something I've been wondering too. It's the first album I listened to and the one that got me into Green Day in the first place. I love it so much! I really, really hope they start bringing back more songs 21CB aside from the now obligatory KYE. I'm glad they brought back 21 Guns on the last tour at least, but there are so many other amazing choices! See The Light, Static Age, Restless Heart Syndrome just to name a few. I really miss this album.

  33. I rarely listened to Spotify on a regular basis, but about two months ago I got an offer of about $7 for three months and was in. It was just perfect timing 😄 Top of the list is Green Day, second is The Network

  34. Don’t see the full thing yet, but this is on the website. Seems the magazine is only physically published quarterly now which is a shame but hopefully will make sharing it easier. https://www.kerrang.com/ Looks like this is the Winter issue, available to buy.

  35. I think the best way for them to shake up the setlist is to just plan a setlist in advance that includes more deep cuts instead of the usual lineup. Would also be cool if they built in a one- or two-song part of the show that didn’t rely so much on tech and they could play different songs during that period. I get that there are technical reasons why you can’t divert too much — to Mike’s point, you could blow someone up lol — but there are ways to incorporate something fresh every night.

  36. I’m not sure that I agree that they’re planning on switching it up night to night. I think that they’d like to, put production logistics and playing to an audience of mostly casual fans makes it very difficult to do so. I’m also excited to hear Dilemma. I think BJ has a knack for identifying the strongest songs on their records - either through interviews or through which songs from any given record they choose to play live.

  38. Here you guys go again, deciphering codes written on a camera. 😄 I only post cold, hard Ben Shaperioesque takes on Green Day. Saviors is going to save the music industry. Spotify, music fans and executives will come together, hug and everyone will make life easier on those around then. Even people who hate music will fall for Saviors. It will make people forget The Beatles ever happened. The Stones, what Stones? All music will suck comparatively, but Saviors will be so good it makes all that sucky music sound good just because they are related. Green Day will make Heaven a place called Earth. FORGET IDIOT. PLEASE FORGET DOOKIE, you should done that 15 years ago. There is no Dookie, only crites. I mean Zuul. I mean Saviors!

  41. I don't really use Spotify but my bf plays songs for me on his iPad when I'm in the shower so his Spotify wrapped was basically hijacked by all my bullshit. We both freaked out when Billie started talking to us lmao

  42. the entire thing was savage as hell but the line "go fuck yourself you shit stain asshole and go back to digging your own grave" is brutal lmao. He should make a song about that troll: "Reject 2: Revengeance"

  43. 21CB is a favorite of mine (it’s probably the album I listen to most, actually!), but if they’re going for more known hits, it makes sense that they play more from AI instead. Their catalog is so massive and it’s probably hard to narrow it down. Still, I wish when they pulled out some deeper cuts, they looked to this more frequently. East Jesus Nowhere, Murder City Static Age, American Eulogy — all energetic bangers! Peacemaker and Viva La Gloria (Little Girl) are my favorites and I’d absolutely LOVE to see them played live.

  44. The album had their best charting to date number 1 in 16-18 countries I believe…won a Grammy for best rock album…nominated for two others….this was a popular album I’d love for them to bring static age/last night on earth/the title track/any songs really the album is amazing and people need to realize this
