  2. I canā€™t believe Iā€™ve just applied for a ticket, means I have to cancel two things to go but decided to stop being responsible adult for once in my life! Quite like that it seems to be a lottery but will be gutted if I donā€™t get now.

  3. That version of 1981 is much better. There seem to be some interesting backing vocals that either weren't in the original live performance or weren't audible in the original

  7. Some real nice bass work I hadn't noticed in the prior 1981 performances

  8. I wish you and everyone here to get these fucking tickets šŸ˜‚ Good Luck everyone. Saw a flag of the ā€žhella tiny tourā€œ seems Fan made, but hope at least all countries here get the chance. Still hope theyā€˜ll do something in cologne or hamburg šŸ˜‚

  9. LMNB really reminds Trilogy (that catchiness, simplicity, 60-70s vibes) but what most important - it's like scented with Insomniac. That's what I think makes it attractive and fresh.

  10. I think I have some more here: She's gonna bang her head like 1981 (x4) She's throwing punches to the beat To the sound of cable TV And she'll never see the world the same She is a Cold War in my head And I am itching red On the danger side of parts unknown [Pre-Chorus] Coffee and cyanide for lovers into space If this is not a test We got one foot in the grave [Chorus] She's gonna bang her head like 1981 (x4) [Bridge] Crime falling all the time Champagne and party lines God bless the end of times Pain, comics and cocaine Slam dance in acid rain We live the truth and pretend that itā€™s the same [Chorus]

  12. Iā€™m so happy heā€™s using a teleprompter now. Heā€™s finally singing all the lyrics right. OTOH I wonder if it feels like heā€™s performing his own karaoke šŸ˜„ Maybe this will free him up to play more deep cuts. Letā€™s go X-kid and Rusty James!

  14. That, along with "I'm special and I don't need your help" coalesces to make some of most scrumptious lyrical bites we've gotten from Green Day in a long time. It's a song that can be both dumb and smart at the same time. There's something special about this song.

  18. Yes, was on ipad so using safari, had some nonsense around password with Ticketmaster, but once that was sorted I shot through the whole process dead easily. Got confirmation email, just crossing everything now! Indeed, it must make such a difference to actually play to fans after festival crowds!

  21. Spotify streams for TADIKM Day 1 - 248k Day 2 - 487k (+239k) Day 3 - 663k (+176k) Day 4 - 1,078k (+415k) Day 5 - 1,313k (+235k) Day 6 - 1,495k (+182k) Day 7 - 1,718k (+223k) Day 8 - 1,911k (+193k) Day 9 - 2,085k (+174k) Day 10 - 2,336k (+251k) Day 11 - 2,534k (+198k) Spotify streams for LMNB Day 1 - 137k Day 2 - 469k (+332k) Interestingly, LMNB for its 2nd day gets much more streams than TADIKM has gotten in a single day. Perhaps this might actually be the bigger hit for the album?

Spotify streams for TADIKM Day 1 - 248k Day 2 - 487k (+239k) Day 3 - 663k (+176k) Day 4 - 1,078k (+415k) Day 5 - 1,313k (+235k) Day 6 - 1,495k (+182k) Day 7 - 1,718k (+223k) Day 8 - 1,911k (+193k) Day 9 - 2,085k (+174k) Day 10 - 2,336k (+251k) Spotify streams for LMNB Day 1 - 137,275 A new high for TADIKM in terms of streams, right after a low point the previous day. That increase probably comes from following LMNB on Spotify. LMNB on the other hand has a much lower start than TADIKM, probably to be expected since it's not the lead single

  23. Oh wow, this performance sounds miles better than what we had previously! Stoked for this trackā€™s studio version now

  24. Something interesting - on Tidal and AllMusic Butch Walker is credited as an additional engineer on both Look Ma! and American Dream. Worth noting that these credits aren't always 100% accurate but interesting nonetheless and possibly adds some credence to the idea that they started working on this stuff with him before going back to Cavallo. Again not sure if it's entirely accurate - I'm thinking these might be copy-pasted credits for the whole album and Butch is indeed credited for One Eyed Bastard/any other songs that were closer to the beginning of the writing process šŸ¤” (as we already know TADIKM came last).

  25. How possible is that some people here can think OEB is a bad song when it has a real potential to do good on radio stations and platforms? I know for dieheart fans like us might not be the green day we want BUT that doesn't mean the song is not good. Tbh I still believe that from the 4 tracks we heard already is the one that can do better mediatically.

  26. I'm not crazy about it either, but am trying not to judge until I hear the album version. I also think back to RevRad, when my reaction was Bang Bang- Yeah!, Revolution Radio- Yeah!, Still Breathing- screeching halt. But I came to like it and loved the whole album.

  27. Or maybe it's the new Know Your Enemy. A catchy singalong song but not the best of the album. I think it's gonna be the next single for the way that the band push it

  28. I have a feeling we're gonna get both 1981 and Father to a Son before the album's released.

  29. setlist.fm needs to fix this: Welcome to Paradise always shows up as a Kerplunk song when it's almost certainly meant as a Dookie song. I always see that green day played 4 Dookie songs and 2 Kerplunk songs and I'm like "nope". This bugs me even though I have bigger things to worry about. Maybe I should buy one of those Worry Rock's billie was singing about. Do they work?

  30. The worst time to wake up is to find that Green Day is playing a club show in Milan (Italy - a 3-hour drive from where I live). But I'm in New Haven. And they won't play some New Haven/New York club shows until February, when I'll get back to Italy. Ugh.

  31. Yeah the Amazon concert was so disappointing to see the lack of enthusiasm from the crowd I'm glad the fans brought the positivity and energy because green day really feeds off it

  32. I'll definitely be trying for the Milano tickets. These announcements are so chaotic and I kind of love it to be honest. If you just wanna try your luck and go to only one of these shows (Milan, London), whichever you succeed in getting the tickets for, you can't really do that. You don't know what's gonna happen next. The Hella Tiny Tour makes history, or something. I don't know I'm hungover as hell.

  37. Oracle is a big baseball stadium. There's gonna be lots of the tickets available. But this is the only show taking place in that area, the SF bay area. At least until the second leg of the tour. This will also be one of the last concerts of the first NA leg. And consider it's been about 2 years since Green Day last toured globally. Fans are pretty eager to see Green Day. If you can, don't wait till the last minute. This show will sell fast. And who knows if it's gonna have a GA area or seated area. GA is harder to come by through the secondary market! šŸ™‚

  41. 1981 does not sound like Dos to me at all. It doesn't fit with the lyrical themes of Dos (i.e. sex), doesn't sound garage rock. If anything, it sounds more like an Uno style track

  42. I think Billie has always had a hangup about feeling stupid since he dropped out of high school. Itā€™s self deprecating but untrue ofc
    2 points
  43. I donā€™t think either 1981 or OEB will be singles. I think the next single will be Father To A Son. Theyā€™ve been talking about it alongside the other two and it makes all three releases as different as they can be to have wide appeal

  44. Agreed. FOAM is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of gimmicky Green Day albums for sure, and in many ways the Trilogy was like the polar opposite of FOAM.

  45. Look at the entry of OEB on SESAC. No affiliated artist, only Billie as writer.

  46. that teaser was one of the firsts right? mike said in the interview that father to a son was along with TADIKM the two last songs written & recorded. so i think we might be looking for a total unknow song, unteased until now at least

  47. This song has the fun vibe they described for FOAM but actually executed well. Two great songs back to back. I'm extremely hopeful for this album now.
