@ekim I've just issued a warning point and if you don't knock it off you'll be suspended. Stop with the insults and off-topic posts. If you want to complain about another band go spam their social media accounts.16 points

Hey guys! Haven't posted on here in a while (probably years now!) I produce music for a living. This snippet got me really excited. Green Day's sound has evolved massively due to the team of people they've worked with on recent records with varying results. I feel the combo of Rob Cavallo producing and Chris Lord-Alge mixing really epitomises what sounds like Green Day. Billie's vocals have got a lot of space and sound natural and upfront, the guitars panned ultra wide, drums and bass punching and I can't be happier. I can't wait to listen to what they've got prepared.16 points

Me, a genius, judging the entire album's lyrical quality based on a small clip of a single song we haven't at all heard in its entirety.11 points

Are you guys seriously fucking talking about blink AGAIN???? For the love of god, please let it go. We already did this for 4 fucking pages (and that's only the most recent discussion). I really don't understand why people always feel the need to compare them to Green Day. They are entirely different bands who set completely different goals for themselves. They both share a lot of fans, have similar influences, and gained success in the 90's, but they really don't have as much in common as people are trying to make it seem. Think about the stones and the Beatles. Sure, they're both British and were the two biggest rock bands of the 60's, but their music is completely different. I don't care if you think that blink is good or not, but just let people like what they like, and let's get back to Green Day. There is absolutely no reason to keep coming back to this bullshit debate. Also, there is MUCH worse music in the world. I know that you guys would still rather listen to Blink 182 than Dream.11 points

The "repetitive lyrics" complaint is one of the most overused complaints I hear about songs, and not just by Green Day. Yes, it can of course be a perfectly valid issue to have with songs. But people act like 1) that it only ever happened with modern Green Day songs (granted, it was less on older albums but still very much present) or 2) that the songs still can't be bangers. Homecoming ends with Billie basically singing "Home, we're coming home again" for 2 full minutes and it sounds fantastic. Let Yourself Go is a banger and is repetitive as fuck. 99 Revolutions is also very repetitive and I think the demo version still sounds great despite that. I even like Know Your Enemy a lot. Despite its repetitive chorus, I think lyrically it's still a very well written track My main issue with repetitive songs is when already boring tracks are made more boring by the fact that the same line is repeated over and over again like Oh Yeah, or a song like I Was A Teenage Teenager which is already an abomination but then just repeats the exact same verse and chorus. It's the longest track on FOAMF but has the least to offer musically or lyrically. There can also be an issue with having multiple repetitive songs back to back like Let Yourself Go and Kill the DJ (even if I still enjoy both tracks quite a lot) but I think generally Green Day does pretty good at spacing these moments out in their albums so they don't come back to back10 points

I really like what I heard so far. Which is 18 seconds of a song which likely will be around 180 seconds. I surely hope for something more than a song on the KYE or Revolution Radio style, but will have to wait for the remaining 162 seconds to understand what we have here. What I can judge here is the production style of vocals and instruments, and that kicks ass so far imho.7 points

This is a speculation thread for Green Day's upcoming release, not a thread for dissecting lyrics to a song by a different band that came out over 24 years ago Why is this so hard for people to understand 😂6 points

This song sounds like it’ll be a good set opener from what we’ve heard, I think I’m ready for American Idiot to no longer open the set so I hope that ends up being the case6 points

Haven't we been told over and over again early 2024? Why would it be any different now? Why would anybody be expected the album to release just a few weeks after the first single?6 points

Christian's Inferno!'s internal dialogue: In all seriousness though, how exactly is repeating the chorus line twice indicative of the lyrical quality of the rest of the song? Granted, Billie's lyrical work post 21CB has been patchy, but let's at least wait until the song is out first. Give the poor man a chance haha.6 points
