I have an obersavation about the Green Day forums. When there is no news to speak of, the other one goes silent. GDC starts counting 12 teeth in a zombie mouth and then argues whether that means there are 12 songs or the release date has a 12 in it. 😄 GDC is amazing! I wonder if the lead single will be the opening track. The title track?

I was reading the theories here about Green Day do a collab with The Walking Dead and thinking that it would be very bad marketing to release the first single to promote a new album, in a series that is no longer as hyped, just because it coincides with the date of Halloween ...but then I remembered that Green Day's marketing team is Crush and with them, the worst possible idea can become come true

I hear you, though considering their history it makes more sense to me that the image has something to do with the title “The American Dream is Killing Me” more than a Halloween tie in. That’s just the sense I’m getting anyway

Let's not pretend that the issues with 1981 were entirely down to the technical issues. The song itself just doesn't seem that interesting. I highly doubt a studio version of the song will be hugely better.

They haven't done this in over 10 years. They did no such thing for either RevRad or for FOAM. The last time they came close was in 2011, when the debuted a lot of the trilogy songs at Tiki Bar.

Well the aliens in they live looked more zombie like than your typical x files looking aliens lol BTW you can watch the movie free on tubi it's pretty cool rip Roddy piper I agree this video will be heavy on the MAGA zombie cult and I'm ready for it I always felt revolution radio should've been the opening track on rev I like somewhere now but felt it was better suited in the middle of the album

Having a zombie in a music video or a theme on the album isn’t necessarily Halloween. If this ends up being apart of the album/music video I think it’s probably going to be more of a representation of the MAGA group and the extremists of the Republican Party. I’m basing that strictly on their previous albums alluding to their stance in politics and also from their personal actions, for example Billie Joe singing “No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist USA”. Also going to add to that… they made trump a Zombie in the “Back in The USA” music video.

Platypus was written for insomniac and I'm pretty sure we haven't heard that demo. There's gotta be stuff in the vault we haven't heard. And like I keep saying, I want a brain-shaped 7" vinyl Brain Stew/Jaded single like the CD we got in '96!!!! I was so stupid last time... I had almost given up hope on the Reverb sale! Hopefully they’ll drop a preview of the shop before it goes live on the 18th. Really interested to see which instruments the guys make available this time around.

My inside info is that the band have used exactly 14.2 cylinders this time. What does that .2 mean? Probably zombies, handclapz with a Z and uh...some electronic elements that are utilized in a classy way.

The Green Day logo on his shirt looks photoshopped, and they wouldn't be using the logo from FOAMF for the new album. It's probably just a picture from the walking dead set. But I think we can say for sure that Green Day Brazil definitely had some insider info. No way this was a coincidence.

I think that would be a terrible idea. Surely they want a video to get millions of plays and one tied to a specific season gets really naff really quickly.
