  2. Assuming they go the extra mile for a theoretical anniversary release? Best I can think of is a full release of the Irving Plaza 2012 show.

  3. Billie said Forever Now was getting a music video. Billie said a lot of shit. Green Day promoting team said there's so so so much to come this year. So I believe them.

  5. But theres a level of complacency since the 2000s that is evident. Which is ok, think about in a normal career. There are times when you really kick it and theres other times you ride the wave and appreciate what you already have. All of the 2010s was riding the wave of what they built in the 90s and 2000s. And rightfully so. But at some point you need to break the status quo again.

  6. Separate news for sure, but they could be close together. The way I see it, if we don't get an announcement by the end of October/early November, we're looking at 2024 before we hear anything. I don't see a scenario in which they start up the announcements over the holidays time frame.

  7. This is a long shot, (relax GreenDayFan, just speculation) but anyone think Billies little graffiti is artwork for One Eyed Bastard?

  8. So what would you wish for, what other thing would you like to come true? Other than new album of course. We've had 'Heart Like A Hand Grenade' (making of AI), and 'Quatro' (making of Trilogy). I think we're overdue another making of documentary DVD. And album 14 would, I'm sure, be compelling viewing. Considering all the twist and turns we've witnessed since the first tease. As some of the teases included clips of studio activity, what if the cameras kept rolling.......

  9. A guy named Phil Dunphy lived at the end of my road growing up. His wife gave me guitar lessons .. Nice fella.

  10. In an interview with Rolling Stone back in 2016, Billie Joe said, "I always wanted Uno!, Dos!, and Tre! to be our power-pop 'Exile on Main Street', and I understand it sounds a bit stiff and the production isn't great. I love these songs, but a lot of it feels half-baked. It was a weird time." This statement changing his comments in a previous discussion with NPR where he said, "Next thing we knew, we ended up with something like 30 songs. Are we doing a 'Sandinista' here?" (Referring to The Clash's triple album.) "So we said, let's do three discs and release one record at a time, and wouldn't it be funny if we called it Uno!, Dos!, and Tre!? This at least quashed an unsubstantiated rumour at the time that Billie Joe recorded all three albums worth of vocals in a few days. With critics unfairly claiming the songs lacked emotion and sincerity.

  11. Yes, but he’s being self-deprecating too, we know he’s far from a lazy bastard, he works a lot, has demonstrated regularly that he needs to be occupied.

  13. They do, which is why they fit so well in The Longshot sets.

  14. I always thought the Trilogy songs would sound their best in smaller venues (as seen in Quatro). Completely stripped down, loud guitars and 2 backing vocalists. Those songs have a certain club energy feel to me, kinda like pinhead gunpowder, coverups or longshot. Make it happen!

  15. Billie said in the Audible that he has the hardest time listening to 21CB because of what a stressful experience it was making it. He might feel that way about the Trilogy era too and not want to revisit a lot of the songs from the 2009-2012 period. He’s also described himself as “a lazy bastard” on more than one occasion when it comes to relearning old songs so I don’t see him ever relearning all of Uno for example
