  1. Their marketing team is so bad that they’re making the band do it themselves.

  2. I was going to say that this is stretching it too far as well, but that "keep your eyes peeled for that to show up early next year, if you're interested... ;)" seems a bit suspicious indeed.

  3. Billie has been Banksy all along.

  4. Apparently, the Dookie artwork creator is working in the new album art

  5. Did he mean he's working on the new album artwork in the last paragraph?

  6. Probably the smartest thing Green Day has done since 2016 is not do American Idiot 2: This Time It’s About Trump. So The Network was kinda the perfect venue to get some of those songs out.

  7. Not like the band could do any worse.

  9. He didn’t. The Network did 😜 But seriously “The cult of the con artist” and Art of the Deal and there’s no question it’s about not only Trump, but his wingnut followers too. Maybe he just didn’t want to release it as Green Day for some reason, but The Network doubled down with this and Ivankkka is a Nazi.

  10. More graffiti - Billie wants to be Banksy. Watch him get his ass deported for vandalism 😂

  11. Not necessarily. Like guitars, he buys and sells classic cars all the time

  13. Yeah, that's what I thought. I don't know if it means anything, but their manager shared the post and is following him.

  17. I believe Dookie got Kerplunk over the 1 million mark at some point. I believe the rest was from post AI. Once GD got through the mid 2000s issue with Lookout they were able to improve distribution. I had to wait 6 months to get my 1039 and Kerplunk cds when I was a kid.

  18. I honestly think if it wasn't for rehab and the meltdown, the trilogy would have performed relatively well and there would be a much more positive perception of it in the fandom and public. It has its flaws, like any other record, but the tide turned on them for this one, unfortunately in a way that they couldn't really control.

  21. Kids, you don’t need to speculate about It, he already done the new Green Day album artwork.

  22. Based on his comment in his IG post? That's stretching it a bit far, don't you think? 🤔 It may also be related to something else, but that being said, I could absolutely see it happening.

  33. This is what really annoys me about radio, to me, they should constantly be playing new stuff by everybody, let us hear new music and we will decide if we like it but they have become the supposed arbiters of taste, so we get to hear what they think we should be listening to! I knew lots of music was taken off playlists in the US after 9/11 but I don’t remember hearing about Clear Channel trying to cancel them. Quite a leap to get back in favour then.

  34. You guys have no idea how fucking excited I would be to hear any of the tracks from Trilogy live one more time. Besides shitty Oh Live attempt this year and the most random Nuclear Family and Amy performances from RR Tour, these songs have been long gone from the setlist. Longshot atleast brought Stay the Night back but even that project seems to be dead again. 8th Avenue Serenade is just the best ❤️

  36. AUDIO INK RADIO PRESENTS ITS RUNDOWN OF THE 12 BEST PUNK GUITARISTS OF ALL TIME 10. Billie Joe Armstrong, Green Day We know that the punk diehards dislike, to say it nicely, seeing Green Day on any best-of punk lists. But, Green Day started out as a pure, punk DIY act, and they just happened to crossover into the mainstream and put the genre on the worldwide map. That said, Green Day vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong should be appreciated for what he’s done for the punk genre. His super-catchy pop-punk chords and melodies struck a chord, so to speak, with disgruntled teen rockers everywhere, and that make punk cool with the mainstream. https://audioinkradio.com/2023/09/best-punk-guitarists-of-all-time/
