Since there was this "so much more to come line" I'm hopeful that we'll get something else besides the new record next year. I'm reeeeeeally hoping for a release of one, preferably several American Idiot tour recordings. It seems weird not to re-release Bullet in a bible (audio) in full, as in, both nights, on CD and/or vinyl. But I'm hopeful we might get some other show too, where they played AI in full - say the Music Box at the Fonda show.

Imagine if they dropped full live performances from all the different countries they played in during the 21st CB era (or the trilogy) 👀 Then we're talking!

They have a lot more to choose in an eventual AI 20th anniversary, but if they would use ready-to-sell material, Irving Plaza 2004 would be my first pick. The demos and outtakes are far more interesting, thinking that John Roecker has some of them, Peter Reto did mention they tracked also the preproduction, where the songs could be very different. Yeah, Cigarettes and Valentines could be there as well. If they are ready to do it, then we are really on a treat. Warning 25th can be doable too. These Japanese shows would be fire!

I genuinely believe any AI anniversary set will be pushed back to the 25th. We want it all and we want it now, but doing all this in the span of a year would be overwhelming for fans and their bank accounts

Billie posted a pic of the Tasman 424 they recorded the demos on but the post won’t let me share it for some reason.

Stoked for this release, solely for the demos. I'm unsure what exactly was circulating prior to the announcement but it's always nice to hear the tracks prior to their finalized formation. Not the biggest fan of the live stuff personally, but the booklet (documenting the album and lyrics) alongside the demos, will surely be a treat!

Haha, it is a great set. Some moderately priced ones occasionally pop-up on eBay. Don't stop chasing that whale, haha! To add to my earlier post, if the original Dookie album isn't being remixed or remastered, why include it? Is that just what you do? Everyone willing to buy this set has already heard this album — likely, dozens of times!

I could swear I remember Billie saying in an interview that he wrote it "around the time Dookie came out", I feel like that implies that it wasn't written in time for Dookie but idk, it's gotta be pretty close because it was about Amanda and she broke up with him right after he signed the major label contract
