Haushinka is such a great song, totally under appreciated - yes, looking at you @That Dude đđ6 points

Just heard that the announcement for Dookie 30th is really really close. Like pretty fucking soon.6 points

I think none of us will accurately predict what they do, they never do the obvious and always take us by surprise and I like it.6 points

They can choose to ignore or not answer. Itâs not like someone is standing outside their home or hotel. Social media. So. Cial. Med. Ia. Love you @GDFan2019! You do your thing lil bud!4 points

Considering the trend of the band including shows that already had some songs released previously as b-sides on anniversary releases, Jaded in Chicago or Jannus Landing seem to be the most likely candidates4 points
-
Just like you heard there was going to be a new single by the summer shows? But yes, it seems painfully obvious it is coming soon.4 points
-
I would go crazy if by chance they recorded Pasalacqua during Dookie sessions. This would be insane and a great single for this release4 points
-
As much as I'm excited for this, I'm not sure how much can we expect, since all the b sides from that era that we know of were already officially released on singles and Shenanigans, and all the demo sessions surfaced over years as bootlegs. I am not aware of any other songs that were recorded at that time, like there were during nimrod and later album sessions. I guess we're in for an album remaster and maybe one of the iconic live shows (Jaded in Chicago, Jannus Landing etc.), which would be cool to have finally officially released as a package. It's more bizarre to me that it'll be 20 years since American Idiot came out. It's surreal.4 points

I have a theory, what if they announce the new album in September, the first single comes out the same day, the new album comes out in October/November, and they announce the tour, starting in February, in which they play songs from the new album plus Dookie in full!!! And also in February, a Dookie 30th anniversary box set with the album, demos, studio outtakes including 409 in Your Coffeemaker and Christie Road, and a live show. And then later in the year, we get the American Idiot 20th anniversary celebration!!!4 points

My guessing is: -Dookie 30th edition will be released this year probably in late September - early October. -As the news of Dookie 30th turns eyes on GD with news in the media, the new single release of new album will follow right after that. (Late October-November) -New album somewhere between February 2024 - (latest) May 2024.3 points

I'm gonna guess it'll include a full, official release of either the "Jaded in Chicago" concert or some other Dookie era concert. I really hope it includes bonus tracks like the B-Sides, the re-recording of "409 in Your Coffeemaker" from that old "Basket Case" single, and that re-recording of "Christie Road" that's never been released. https://greenday.fm/music/studio-sessions/dookie-sessions/3 points

I hope they really make a Basketcase Part 2. Followed by Extraordinary Boy.3 points

I think we'll get an announcement of #Dookie30, new album and a new single all at once.2 points

What boundary? People DM all the time. Heâs willfully answering fans. He could easily ask them to stop or block them.2 points

The guy has replied to multiple fans multiple times. Why are you judging so harshly? Wow! Thatâs so cool he answered again! Weird heâs in the dark.2 points

I just messaged Hans on Instagram to see if he could give any insight on the release schedules for both Dookie 30 and the new album2 points

Yeah. Gonna put the conspiracy aluminium hat on and wonder if itâs a hint of something juicy happening that night. Or maybe they are just trolling us. Or maybe we are maniacs and itâs just a coincidence.2 points

Itâs just here. People are often so rude and make it all about them on this message board. Be more like @That Dude or @GDFan2019 and everything will be fine. Billie Joe during the Longshot tour had to tell a lot of the same people to stop being at the front of the stage every show and let other people up front. In the real world, the shitty toxic Green Day fans are outnumbered.1 point

Dookie 30th anniversary edition will be a bigger deal for more casual fans probably. Because I'm sure there's going to be a lot of the demos & live performances that we've all heard 100 times. That being said, I'll be excited to have the demos and stuff on streaming services, especially demos for songs like Haushinka and J.A.R that can be found in this video and playlist. I think the Insomniac & Nimrod 25th editions suffered from not including the early version of Good Riddance which was originally on the Brain Stew/Jaded single but would've been fine being on either album. I hope Dookie doesn't suffer any other bad decisions like that1 point

Iâm not even sure it needs a remaster. An Atmos mix would be nice but the regular 2 channel stereo version sounds great to me. Iâm still a little surprised Insomniac got a remaster. Somehow the phrase âpolishing a turd dookieâ comes to mind1 point
-
Although they actually did play a new song, 1981, at the Quebec show I have a feeling the single is going to be the Dookie version of Christie Road1 point
-
We didn't know about black eyeliner, tre polca or nimrod demo of when It's time a year algo (althought nimrod was the record with more official b-sides released) so we can expect any surprise for dookie301 point
-
I bet he and Billie do have some things in common if they unite for the greater good.1 point
-
Following the Nimrod pattern, if my old person memory doesnât fail me, theyâll start releasing âsinglesâ and preorders soon, release the digital version sometimes in fall/winter before Christmas, and ship physical copies early 2024 which fits the February anniversary. How this can match the release of a new record in the first quarter of 2024 is a mystery to me.1 point

It means theyâll tease it for a year and then say nothing about it for another two years1 point

So they just started teasing Dookie30, that means it's coming out in like 2026, right?1 point

Crush as a management company is independent. Crush music the record label is a Warmer joint venture and is not independent, it distributes records through other Warner labels like Atlantic and Warner Records (which still has Green Day in its roster, wether as under Reprise or directly under WR we donât know): https://www.wmg.com/news/crush-music-launches-label-warner-music-group-211811 point
-
was told here in this thread that warner is holding back '1972' release, so yeah, we're pretty sure1 point
-
Do we have any indication of them not being under reprise anymore? Crush is their management company, and despite the fact that they are also a label, most of their big names like Sia, FOB and Lorde publish records with other labels. Weezer did publish Van Weezer and the following EPs under Crush, but as a co-production with Atlantic. And anyway both Crush and Reprise are owned by Warner, and Reprise nowadays distributes through Warner Records, so I highly doubt a right issue would arise here even if the next record is solely published by Crush music. Itâs more of a Chinese box situation then anything else. Edit: Green Day are still listed under Warner Records (parent company of Reprise, which doesnât even have a website anymore) roster: https://www.warnerrecords.com, and from this article it looks like Crush Music as a label will not distribute records on its own, but always use Atlantic or Warner Records for that: https://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/sia-management-company-crush-music-launches-new-label-with-warner/ So essentially the distribution strategy is in Warnerâs hand and they can do whatever they want, regardless of which label, Crush or Reprise, is publishing it. And anyway Warner owns those too.1 point
