Lol if they can come back from iHeartRadio they can come back from saying a curse word. It’s not 1954.6 points

You guys are saying dude a lot. I'm TRYING to take a break from GDC, please stop using my name in or out vein. I speculate that Album 14 is done and awaiting an early February release. One member of Green Day is working on another musical project in the meantime, which will probably come out sooner because it's a smaller scale thing. No weird dudisms, this thread is duded up enough. 😄4 points

I love Foxboro. I wasn't speaking for myself. Maybe Lukey and I should just bang it out. LOL!! That's a VERY hot take, indeed. 🤣3 points

So we're just waiting to see if Mike jumps on this too. It could just be because it's new and they wanna see what it's like (except for the official GD account, that'll be for marketing), but I feel the slight increase in online presence/activity recently is a good sign, they may be preparing to start the promo train in the next few months.3 points

So you say this is on GD. They are responsible and owe you an explanation? A punk rock band, that started out with attitude, anti everything. They would spit in your face, and if they didn't like what you were saying to them, you'd get their middle fingers in your face. They don't give a shit, Cool. GD have total control on anything they do or say. And they can decide to tell you absolutely nothing. Respect. Your just gonna have to wait. 😜2 points

21CBD got great reviews upon release but it's definitely not perfect. The criticisms at the time were that the album was too serious and lacked the band's humor, and the fact that there is a lot of self-plagiarism on the album. They even admitted it in an interview at the time, Mike said something like it was "the most Green Day-influenced Green Day album" and Billie Joe said that he believed the original songs they self-plagiarized had great parts and didn't get the recognition he'd hoped for, which is why they did it. Because of all that I had a hard time liking the album at first, but it's since grown on me.1 point

Nothing special but forgot to post these from Green Day’s Instagram story1 point

I can’t get on, I assume because I don’t have the app but am seeing this post or ones like it from a number of people this morning. For those without IG, it seems to be a screenshot from Threads of Billie Joe’s account and his comment “now what”. https://instagram.com/stories/greendaynews/3140561526891799659?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igshid=Y2I2MzMwZWM3ZA==1 point

Nobody’s saying that they ever took any sort of hit for it. It’s just ridiculous to think Green Day is gonna play the Super Bowl considering how strict the NFL is.1 point

Watch Green Day play “Longview,” throw cocktail wieners at 1993 Milwaukee Mega Jam https://milwaukeerecord.com/music/watch-green-day-play-longview-throw-cocktail-wieners-at-1993-milwaukee-mega-jam/1 point

I remember when kids would abuse their power from classroom duties in 1st grade. I remember one job was to make sure everyone was out of the bathroom at the end of bathroom breaks and teachers “fired” him because he was ordering kids around. So it’s no shock that people on here abuse their privilege. Reddit mods do it with volunteer positions even. It’s just human behavior when someone has nothing else in their life to be proud of. They likely get off on the teasing and feeing of exclusivity and imaginary relationships with famous people. Not all though. @Sanity Loan has been nothing but a kind and helpful person. Notice how the people with actual connections are flailing it around. Those who don’t have brag.1 point

Exactly, thats why you can't just hype stuff up without actually saying what it is and then expecting/assuming everyone will be happy about it. Nobody is "going after" pacejunkie. We're just saying it's not the best idea to leak info before the band is ready if you're not able to confirm what it is. It fuels the speculation fire and will cause disappointment, and it's also not your info to give. Hence why it's not okay to share because nobody was actually able to say what it was, it's not info that the band wanted out yet. So there's literally just no point in saying anything. It's also rich of you to try and claim people are "going after" anybody, every post I've seen from you is just you having a go at the few people who don't just instantly treat insiders like gods lol. You need to learn that people have different thoughts and opinions towards this than you do, and that's okay.1 point

I wish they'd stop inventing new social medias because every time i feel like a grouch when i don't care at all, not even for gd lol but i still have to check it out, though.1 point

I was under the impression BJA did that, media picked up on it and everyone was happy.1 point

I didn’t lead anyone to believe anything, all I said was it wasn’t Green Day. Then people speculated like gangbusters1 point

Green Day/side projects have a lot of songs that mention rain. And it seems that anytime I get stuck in a downpour, one of them is playing. 😕1 point

1972 being dead makes sense. It seems like it started as one thing and it evolved into another and it won't be called 1972 (which I thought we knew). I'm not buying into the whole this is their last album until I hear it come from the band themselves. Also... the Blink opinions in this thread I do agree though that Edging isn't great. It was fun song live, but I haven't listened to it since its release.1 point

I'm not sure where to put this but Billie is discussed in the interview. Today Radio Interview: Jakob Armstrong of Ultra Q is "in love with music" https://today.rtl.lu/culture/music/a/2078051.html "Jakob's father, Billie Joe Armstrong (the lead singer of Green Day) has always been supportive of his son's music career, but never forced music on him. Until the age of twelve, Jakob wasn't interested in playing music. He discovered it on his own, and at fifteen years old he showed his dad the first song he ever wrote, to Billie Joe's complete surprise. It was necessary for Jakob to fall in love with music independently of his father's influence."1 point

That’s exactly where I’m coming from, feel like people who complain are very lucky to have seen them often enough to feel that.1 point

Heard a guy on the radio complaining about finally getting to see a band and they didn’t play the big hits he went for and he was gutted. You can’t please all the people all the time.1 point
