Horrid marketing to be this absent for so long. Zero social media presence or interaction with fans. Just sad really.3 points

Even though this is over a year old as well, could this be part of this side project? It doesn’t exactly sound like a Green Day recording2 points

Come on that’s the same account that said was gonna be announced on May and never happened.2 points

Account literally hasn't posted anything that couldn't have been found here + was clearly wrong as the months stuff was 'releasing' passed us by2 points

What occurrence of talking about the Trilogy in this thread is this? The fourth? All discussions seem to somehow circle back to that and the same stuff is repeated.2 points

That’s exactly where I’m coming from, feel like people who complain are very lucky to have seen them often enough to feel that.2 points

What does everyone think the chances are it's a whole new side project? Those in the know don't get to guess 😂1 point

So I guess Saviors is related to the next album. And the other project is probably FBHT.1 point

I'm sorry, I'm lost again, I must have missed something. Where did the name 'Saviors' come from?1 point
-
Because Jason has said they didn't actually have a name for the album, although that was months ago now I suppose.1 point

I just want to know if Saviors and the ''other project not related to Green Day" are related.1 point

At the soundcheck in Seville 2019 they were rehearsing JOS and Billie stopped playing and announced "I don't even want to play this fucking song" or words to that effect. On the RevRad Tour I feel they tried to change out Good Riddance for Ordinary World but people complained and Billie often ended up singing both1 point

I kind of gave up hope for the new album hype a long time ago because it's taking far too long but IT WOULD be cool if we at least had a new song by When We Were Young Fest in October since I am flying down from Fargo.1 point

Dude, create a forum just for yourself, so you can talk about whatever you want and the topics you want. Or close this thread here and include only the people and specific subjects you want1 point

I mean Oh Yeah. They played the song multiple times on television and Billie just played the one chord during the sampled part 😅1 point

Not pessimistic at all, my friend. If Green Day releases first 1972 is fine for me. 👍 However, I don't mind if they release 1972 in one or two more years to get a solid record. FOAM was ok for me when it came out, but I can't say it is one of their best works (The only song I feel it was cursed to be released on this record is Graffitia). On the other hand, two of the finest GD works from the 90's were rereleased with special content. So, why not wishing that for Dookie and AI? I'm really interested on this. I've been waiting for years for this kind of content. To be honest, Nimrod XXV is OK for me as a product (Nimrod is my favorite GD record ever, I love the live CD with its pros and cons), the Demo album has some interesting and meh stuff (But I wished more) and I love the promo stuff on videos and pictures. "Insomniac XXV" was the first shot about this, just some live track released at that time but remixed and remastered (and they sound so good IMHO), but I enjoyed so much watching the live videos and documentary from Prague 1996!! So, I want the same treatment for Dookie, AI and... yes, I suppose you got it: WARNING. No one can deny, always a new album will hype us (New songs, tour, merchandising, live releases if we are lucky, etc) ... but I'm also that kind of old school fan that loves to find and collect the rare deep cuts. I want to listen to Dookie sessions version of Christie Road or songs like Clusterbomb, Cigarettes & Valentines, and more unreleased stuff. (Demos, Live performances, Early/Alternate Mixes, etc). So, it is just my wish/dream that 2024 is the year for Dookie's 30 anniversary.1 point

Normally I defend GD's setlist choices due to theatrics having to be planned, but seeing Muse's concert a few months ago, which is more elaborate than GD's, makes me wish that they'd do what Muse did. In addition to their must have hits, they had 2 rotating spots, one that switched between two bigger mid-career hits, and one that switched between 4-5 deeper cuts (still hits, but ones that they don't play as often, esp in America). Oh, and they actually played songs from the current album. Imagine if GD switched between 21 Guns and WMUWSE for one slot, and between, say, GSB, NGFL, 21CB, STN, SB, and BB for another. If you went to multiple shows, you'd almost be guaranteed to have at least some difference between them.1 point
