Facebook group. Now I'm seeing it in multiple Facebook groups. They are looking like GDC with all the "Don't share the leak, guys. I got banned" posts, haha. I'm having flashbacks to the Father of All era as I type this. Back then, someone hooked me up with an early leak of FOAM. Oh yeah!

Had a dream that there was an alternative version of the Hitchin A Ride music video, the band still looked the same/dressed the same as the normal video, except they were customers in the bar rather than the performers. The band members themselves were in black and white but everything else was in colour and there was a lot of very bright blue. And the best part is, the bartender was played by @That Dude

Someone just told me that I'm their favorite YouTuber, and that I should shift into just Green Day videos. Man, that feels good. I can only imagine how Billie, Mike and Tre feel. Haha. Welp, using this confidence boost, I'm not about to do tier list every Green Day song ever.

Supposedly it was recording after FOAMF I think, like around the time of MM2020 Pt II, meaning it couldn't be a reject from the album. However, that doesn't mean Walker couldn't have been involved with the song. I mean, wasn't the original plan for him to continue working with them after FOAMF? At least, Butch Walker mentioned at one point that he was about to work on another album with GD or something. But that was before it was announced that Rob was coming back to work on the album

This is a such a weird situation. From what I think I understand... The song is a post FOAM demo, like maybe 2 years old. It was leaked on discord over a year ago. Many fans sat on the leak, but had it or heard it during that time. Somehow it releaked???? in the last couple of weeks. GD fandom blew their minds out about who had and didn't have it. No official statement from the band or Warner, but a solid attempt to scrub youtube/twitter. But Tumblr and tik-tok ... (Personally, I'm hoping the song was not intended for the next album... but maybe a Bside? Although I'd probably like the song more if it was a part of a larger narrative/story from the album. Also curious, because certain riffs are clear lifts from the pink song, so when that happens, do you just get ahead of that by paying royalties to that artist?? Just wondering.) No album announcement but now expected in early 2024. Like I said, weird situation. (This is when I miss BJA on instagram... lol, that little filterless bastard. 😂)

I get that this song was bound to leak at some point, so they're probably gonna let it slide, but I think it's so shitty to wish for the whole album to leak when it's probably not even finished? I know it's frustrating that the guys started teasing the album way too soon, but their plans and ambitions clearly changed thorough the recording after they brought in Rob and CLA, and I'm glad they're taking their time now after what happened with FOAM. Meanwhile, so many people seem hellbent on ruining this whole project before it even starts because you can't wait half a year. Let them cook! Everyone is asking for amazing songs, fully fleshed out concepts and ambitious marketing, and not even giving them the time they actually need to get it done like they want it, like damn... no wonder they probably hate the fanbase.

Here's the flow of events that is frustrating to me: 1. Green Day records a song and decides not to release it 2. Song leaks 3. Fans find out it leaks and go crazy over wanting it, expecting it to be the second coming of Jesus Christ. 4. Fans get their hands on it 5. Fans bitch and complain that it isn't great and the band has completely lost it Gee, I wonder why the band decided to not release it...

I need a cheatsheet behind the bar, I don't know how to make anything. I promise to keep an eye on the band while they're in my bar though. Bright blue will definitely be the album cover of (redacted).

That was an interesting way to avoid things I actually need to do. Thanks! It feels very odd putting anything from B–D in those tiers because considering all music, they're like A or even S. But as far as Green Day goes, they're not quite as good as the ones above. I can live without the ones below though. Especially the very last tier. I would prefer to live without those. I'm still going to try your challenge of ranking all Green Day songs at some point. Probably when I have something especially important I don't want to do.

Someone on the Green Day Idiotposting page just said they got a copyright match for sharing the song. The odd thing is that the artist is listed as Pirate Wax. Pirate Wax is actually a pretty cool band name. Way cooler than Green Day or say, Panicland!!!!!! Now, the audio was muted in 250 territories. How many territories are in the world and how do I create a dude-i-tory?

Let's call it Kiss My Ring, shall we? I like that's angry. We've been getting the sad social commentary tracks for so long, it's nice to get a pissed off song. While I wouldn't want an entire album of this song specifically, the attitude contained within would be a nice rock n roll vibe that contrasts nicely with the smarter stuff they've done, making it kind of smart in a dumb way.

Just heard the whole song, it’s better than all foam record lol…. But it was not so hard 😂 well I hear too the similarities with pink and iggy pop, but if I listen to the last effort of some well known bands it’s not the song with the most similarity with others I’ve heard lately

So I finally heard the heard the whole song on TikTok!! (Don’t ask me who posted it LOL) Anyway, the guy wrote in the comments that he thinks it will be officially released in a few weeks!!!

I’m totally blaming @That Dude for this post, his influence is clearly rubbing off on me, but I’ve sussed them out! It’s a concept album about organised crime, a collaboration with P!nk who is Billie’s Moll and they are going to tour together, hence the delay. It’ll be huge.

So....I don't know when I got mixed up, but I've been calling it One Eyed Monster for quite awhile and just realized today that it's actually bastard. OOPS. Wait! Are there two songs? I have no idea what songs will be on the new album or if OEB was ever even in contention to make the new album. If it is going to be though, as far as we know this leaked recording pre-dates Cavallo joining the fold so it would make sense that what we’ve heard isn’t the most recent version of the song.

There's a reason why it wasn't released, the band is upset it leaked, and why it has been kept a secret. And you just clearly pointed out that reason.
