Yeah that "protecting our favorite band" thing is such a contradictory bullshit. Why download the leak in the first place, then? Unless it's been somehow magically sent and glued to your hard drive and it can't be erased. Be consistent and delete it then. Or maybe people are as usual contradicory and just don't actually give a fuck and boasting around the forum makes them feel special somehow?

Okay. At the risk of sounding dumb… I have been following, like every day, but now I’m lost. Is there REALLY a leak from 2020(ish) (post-FOAM)? If so, I feel like that should be out there. I feel like the fact that so many of us are surprised by that makes it seem wrong/unlikely. I would love to be wrong and hear it. If it is that old, can someone just say where it is and not gate-keep it? There really isn’t a reason to if it is from so long ago. Beyond that, the 1972 stuff is too much to sift through. Saviors. In some capacity. I get that. New leaks? Doesn’t seem likely. I would LOVE to hear a leak, but it’s fine if not. I just want to know what is legit. Is that too much to ask? Is it? …it probably is.

People on here with the “My girlfriend couldn’t come to prom because she’s not from here” energy. Bragging about a leak they won’t share like the band graced them with it. Warner can’t do shit to you unless you were an idiot and gave someone your full name.

I believe people but it is weird how so many people have heard it despite it being so secretive that Warner will come after them. I’ll chalk that up to people on here having some main character syndrome and acting like Billie delivered them the leak in person when they probably got it through the grapevine due to hours of time living on the Discord.

Tbh if I stumbled upon the song I wouldn't want to share it either, it's just the suptile rubbing in our face that's bothering me.

Yeah but it was definitely leaked to the Discord because most of the people with it don’t have any connection with the band aside from their own delusions. Also I love how it went from fear of Warner’s legal team to @M1KEY saying him being treated poorly is why he won’t share it lol. I always forget how weird superfans are. I agree. But I’m sure it’s because their lives are desert wastelands and this is giving them a sense of importance. Let them have their moment.

Trust me. It's not me lashing out because I don't get to hear it lol What it actually is, is GDC believing every supposed insider claiming that a new single/album or new info is coming any day now for basically the last year, at least. And I've been consistent in saying "Hey guys, stop believing every little thing that claims to be insider knowledge". Maybe this leak is legit. The fact that many people seem to be saying they've heard it gives it more credibility than basically anything else we've heard in this thread. But unless it actually does get leaked now that there's actual discussion happening about it, I honestly don't even care. Music will probably come when the band decides they're ready to announce it.

Tbf there is a difference between wanting to hear the new GD leak and wanting to leak the song to the entire GD online fanbase when the band doesn't want that to happen. I don't think the band cares if there's a very tiny group of people who have heard the song and are just listening to it amongst themselves. The issue is when someone in that group starts leaking it to other people who leak it to other people and the song gets heard by like everyone on every GD forum, subreddit, discord server and online community before the band is ready to release it I wouldn't mind hearing the leak. But if I were to find it, I wouldn't go leaking it to everyone else
