I wanted to reach out to the smartest Green Day fans I've seen on the internet to let you know I chose to write about Green Day for Sonicbond's 'On Track' series and now the book, 'Green Day: Every Album, Every Song' is currently available on European websites like Amazon UK, World of Books, Browns Books, WHSmith, Wheelers, Burning Shed, etc. and will be available everywhere next month. You can pre-order at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Thriftbooks, and so on. It's stuffed with a lot of fresh analysis and background info about the songs since I made sure to bring new thoughts to the Green Day table I've not seen anywhere else. I think their work deserved a deep analysis - other artists have had song-by-song books. Why not Green Day? The 'On Track' series books are all the same length or I would have added another 50-75 pages that I had written since the band has such a long and storied career. I've been a silent reader community member for some time now and just want to thank you all for making me realize that there are fans in the world who can appreciate this type of Green Day book. his vocal range got shorter in the past few years. Since the trilogy he's not singing that well some songs, but there was some period where he was better. He is geting older, so it happens. It's cool if he is worried about his longevity as a rock singer and doing some preventive treatments. I need 1972 asap, though

having heard some of his performances last year, i think there might be something to the rumor. he obviously had voice issues in Rio and I think there was more. He could have just been ill, but i wouldn't be surprised if it was a problem with his vocal chords.

Billie having vocal issues is really unlikely in my opinion. I don’t think he’d be doing cover up shows on the side of it was really that serious. Also his vocals chords haven’t really been under that much stress over the last two years with a less rigorous touring schedule. Could the rumor be true? Sure. But I don’t think it’s really that likely.

Kevin has a show in LA Saturday so I don’t think Green Day is playing the draft

It’s not recording that’s the issue (if there is one) it’s the ability to get through a long tour which is a particular challenge apart from studio singing

I realise that, but I still think it would make more sense to have your vocals at their absolute best prior to recording and not after - if that's a process he knew he was going to have to go through anyway (this is coming from somebody who has gigged and done studio vocals and had my own issues with temporary accidental destruction of vocal chords lol)

The rumour about Billie's vocals is so easy to believe that it could've also so easily been made up. Unless we hear anything close from some other source then I really don't think anybody should be eating it up - thinking logically would he not have taken the time to work on his singing before recording a new album? And we're pretty sure it's finished at this stage.

What a mess. Is it possible that Green Day were supposed to do this and canceled before it was announced? With that rumor of Billie having vocal care done maybe they had to drop out and that other site had outdated info.

Thanks y’all. I went with WMUWSE. The playlist is we chaotic with his taste in music and the family’s inputs but I think that’s a good choice and just kinda fits. Plus it played while making the arrangements the other day.
