No it's because Green Day release better music but also know how to write a radio friendly hit. Plus, they look more attractive and I guess are the complete package for a commercial band
Weezer have their ups and downs, when they're good they're great, but they have probably released more crap than gold. Plus they never really had that appeal to a commercial audience
Offspring have been very successful but have you seen them live? Oof. Plus they haven't done anything that's been really commercially successful since the late 90s / early 00s (arguably could say the same for GD)
NOFX and Rancid are just not radio friendly
Edit: I guess depending on your definition of a sell-out perhaps that's the conclusion you can come to. But I'm sick of that debate, get over it.... Also this is way off topic, back to 1972 speculation, new album will be out next Friday
